This is the Temple Audio TEMPLEBOARD DUO 24, a really well thought out pedalboard concept that holds the pedals securely in place and links to a couple of amazing MODULES, the Hi5 Cioks power supply and the 4X MOD which is a clever patchbay as well as the AC MOD that lets you use a regular power cable instead of an ugly wall wart.
It comes in 3 cool colours, Temple Red, Vintage White, Gunmetal Grey and is made in Canada, The DUO Series is a little over two pedals deep and can accommodate volume pedals and Wah pedals, and is offered in three lengths: 17in, 24in, and 34in. This gives you the flexibility to use all of your favorite pedals.
There are also many MODS for the pedalboard available on their website as well as the different sizes of board and mini MODS.
Thanks to templeaudio.com for sending it over for review, i really appreciate it.
Thanks for watching - Derek

I priced one of these up for myself. the board, the mods and the plates added up close to £500. I went for some plywood and some duel lock cost less than £30

I really appreciate the additional info about the power supply. This system is next level. And the price isn't that bad.

That is a clever system. I don’t think either the price or the fiddly aspects will put many players off as the pedalboard rabbit hole already has those aspects in spades. I like the neatness factor of the design most and thanks for the heads up on the longer cables. Cheers!

Nice one Derek another good informative video, the Temple Audio boards are a great and novel idea and reasonably priced, I might look at getting one when I have the cash. As for connecting pedals together on a board I tend to use ‘Z’ connectors between my pedals that are side by side that have input/output sockets on the sides of the pedals, and then I use short as possible patch cables where pedals don’t sit next to each other or have I/O sockets at top of pedal, my reason for the ‘Z’ connectors is to have NO cable or shortest length of cable as possible to reduce any unwanted added noise to your tone or lost tone, which happens the longer the length of cables used. For me ‘Z’ connector Pro’s are cheaper than patch cables, less signal loss, tidier board and I’ve never had any go faulty so don’t need to replace unlike patch cables. It surprises me that I don’t see more people using ‘Z’ connectors in all the pedal reviews I watch. Anyway they work for me in my setup and my guitar tone and signal is always really decent but maybe not other players preference. Thanks for your video mate.

Thanks mate, I haven’t heard of ‘z’ connectors so I’ll take a look, thanks for the info and comment, always appreciated, stay well! Cheers

@@DerekPaulGuitar I don’t think that many guitarist realise about ‘Z’ connectors, basically it’s just two 6.35mm mono jack plugs in the shape of a ‘Z’ made out of metal so no cable, I pay about £3-£4 per connector.

Hi Derek, thanks for another interesting video. I think it's a really good concept and I like the flexibility of the Duo 24 as I do swap pedals out on a fairly regular basis. Having had a look at the Temple Audio website, this looks like a Company who have put a lot of thought into their' products and if I was a touring guitarist, (I wish!), I'd definitely consider something from them. My tatty old home made item, which I was proud of in the old days, draws not so much glances of wonder, but of sympathy, but if my number comes up on the lottery....... fat chance, huh? Take care, amigo and stay safe

Hey Gareth!! When I win the lotto… and I will ;) I’ll send one over, and you can retire the ratty one, interesting concept though, cheers my friend!

Thanks for sharing your pedalboard build using Temple. Thinking of using the same thing, but w/o the plates (I'll use Dual Lock). Also, I think it's better for noise to keep power cables away from audio cables, so will put cioks mod on opposite side of patch bay mod. Will also try to isolate power cables away from audio cables as they snake through the pedalboard, but probably easier said than done.
@DerekPaulGuitar

Thanks! I think I’d do the same thing regarding the plates, id use dual lock next time, thanks for watching and for the comment!

@lapk78 I'm also curious why would you use this board if not for their mountain plates. Is think you just get a regular pedal board then
@mikaelthemetalhead

I found starting at the bottom right and patching as you go to be more efficient and putting a mini pedal (in my case a noise gate) at the end in the top right, makes it so you only have to run 6” patches the entire way through.

Great video. Does the Mod and Power supply come with the board or do you have to purchase everything separate. Do you know if the power supply is enough to power a Headrush looper board?

@@DerekPaulGuitar you always sound like youre in a pub. I see yours and raise you another lol. These boards are such a tidy concept. For MusicStore and Thomann (living in Europe) the sticky pads are usually sold separately, but they don’t really cost much, so not really worth to mention.

You do realise that unique is a description of an ultimate? You can’t be a little bit unique, quite unique, and certainly not “very unique”. Unique means one of a kind, without parallel, matchless, etc. Sorry to be pedantic, but I think it is worth noting.

I am aware of the definition but this is RU-vid and there are only a certain number of adjectives that catch the eye, it’s all about views, but I agree it’s a crappy way to do it, noted and thanks for the comment
