The TEN WORST CARDS from the Mini Set! Will these get buffed? 

One expansion of slower cards doesn't make the game slow again. It's a step in the right direction, but the way standard is played, give it like 2 years of these slower cards and Zeddy will be happy

And it's always complaining about nerfing cards and then as soon a card gets slightly good all you hear is them cheering on for nerfs and oh when is the nerfs coming, pls nerf

@@widepeepohappy820 yo no hate to Zeddy, but U can't deny that the meta is kinda eh rn. Omega mana cheat into every card is a big ass threat... I like him cuz it's good to get big spenders(a whale) perspective. No hate...

@@jobursk no i do love zeddy I wasn't speaking specifically about him but in general all the HS creators and it's understandable like they need to make videos but sometimes I wish they would put more effort into new concepts instead but at the end of the day I'm a fan, albeit I'm allowed to not enjoy 100% of something and criticize

slowing down the meta involves shutting down hard to stop damage, not printing weaker cards. if every class had a 1 drop that gave them 10 armor like a super-jacked armor vendor, the game would slow down. The issue is that 30 is not enough health anymore vs aggro and burst in HS.

Why? Then rogue would maybe be playable. And almost all players would ask to nerf her back. I think we already saw in the past that buffing rogue cards is not a good idea. Like rn rogue 4 mana 4/4 is played in the mage and mage love this card. This card became insane from unplayable with a single buff, all rogue cards would become broken with a single buff.

nobody likes rogue being playable you have zeddy here saying they should nerf shadowstep every time rogue is mentioned

@@impkiller5932 lol, shuffle 10 random cards has like 0 potential to be ever playable. Making it from 4 mana to 3 would increase the card's WR from 38 to maybe 42 but you won't get meta about adding random cards into your deck Druid has shuffle 10 random legendaries and even that is not played in most highlanders

It’s just a terribly designed card. Absolute mana sink of a card, can mess up your draw. If you’re unlucky you can end up trading between two several times if you have two in deck and wasting tons of mana. I ran and a deck with it till I got the achievement and it was the most miserable experience.

It could be interesting if it said: can be traded for health instead of mana.

@@andriy_tatothats a good idea but might be too op. Would basically make your deck 28 cards instead of 30, similar to patches but you pay with your health instead of a dead mulligan

Why can’t you run it in wild?

@@EasterBunnyMurder the Wild Priest deck that might run it runs a card called Darkbishop Benedictus that gives you an upgraded hero power if you only have Shadow spells in your deck. You can't run the brochure because it's Holy, even though they could have made it Shadow.

because no classes would abuse being able to make their drinks cost zero...

1) Concierge exists for your Drink spamming needs. Which got nerfed because spamming drinks is broken. 2) That's not what a "Thirsty Patron" would do given the history of "Patron" cards... It'd be more like a 5 mana 3/3 "When you play a drink summon another Thirsty Patron"

they need to let you choose the initial position of the brochures during deckbuilding, it would be a novel idea and could actually maybe possibly lead to priests card being used (or atleast tried) in shadow priest

Because if you want to decrease the power level of the game you have to start with a rotation when a bunch of very strong cards leave. If you print bad cards before that you're just printing bad cards for no reason.

It's simple; Printing a handful of bad cards among massive amounts of stupidly powerful cards does not "Address powercreep" all it does is add a bunch of unplayable cards to the game. "Maybe next rotation" still doesn't account for the fact that even post rotation the main expansions of Whizbang and Perils will still be in Standard and all the broken cards within will still be overshadowing the handful of bad cards from the minisets. Even if both the next 2 expansions are low power, the fact remains that post rotation would have 2/4 available expansions being full of stupidly powerful cards that would overshadow everything else (And would continue to do so until they rotated) This is simply the inherent issue with the way rotation works where it's near impossible to reverse powercreep due to the inability to take out overly strong cards from the game in a timely fashion. Whilst it's also not feasible to simply add in bad cards until these overly strong cards rotate naturally because that means at least an entire year of bad cards that won't see play over the handful of strong ones from the 2 powerful expansions. New cards are interesting because they shake the game up. Simply adding in bad cards does not shake the game up because the cards see no competitive play.

@@mckinleyostvig7135 Oh, so you'll only have 3 sets of OP cards to make your deck in 2025 instead of 1/1.5 if they started toning down with this miniset. And 1.5 sets of op cards might actually not be enough to make a ridiculous deck next year and it will actually have to contain balanced cards. Ofc this only matters if they actually continue to print BALANCED cards which they might NOT do as everyone is complaining about the miniset.

@@tarille1043 I would argue that reducing the amount of OP cards by starting a downshift in card strength as soon as possible ALSO opens the posibility of nerfing the outliers, as there wont be 4 sets next year, ONLY 2....I hope

You don't know how card games like this work if you think making a shitty mini set is going to do anything to solve powercreep

whizbang miniset was also awful

Maybe Darkmoon Races? Considering that it was the 1st mini set so they were learning

​@@endyrodriguez4654 Nah, Darkmoon Races was pretty solid; Crabrider, Armor Vendor, Illidari Studies, Arbor Up, Mana Biscuit, Backfire, Rustwix were solid cards. Dr. Booom's Incredible Inventions is probably the next worst set. Only a handful of cards have ever seen play like Dorian, Sock Puppet Slitherspear, Product 9, Malfunction, Puppet Theatre, Dubious Purchase, Wave of Nostalgia and the Warlock cards. The rest have been simply god awful (With exception of Twisted Pack in Wild and Murloc Growfin + Toysnatching Geist in Arena)

there's already a priest card called "holy water" released in 2018... but that hasnt stopped them before from re-printing multiple different versions of it later on haha
