This family is such a joy to watch! They are able to display their emotions and love to each other, way more than most of the troops that we watch! Jabali is just a swetheart and loves people! Big D is an awesome Silverback, with alot of love in him! Some could learn a thing or two from him!!! This is a lucky family that all got to find each other. A great pairing of souls!!! Re-watched this one today. They say that every picture tells a story, well, every video does too. This one told a lot. The love this troop has for one another is overwhelming, almost like humans have for one another. Tayari loves Dj so much, she cant detain herself from being by his side every chance she gets. What a beautiful video. Thank you. Three observations: 1. Tay didn't like DJ taking her straw but seemed OK with her sister taking it right out of Tay's hand; 2. Nothing to climb on? Dad will do. ; 3. The girls are very affectionate towards DJ, especially Tay. Always has a hand resting on him or snuggles him. Have seen Iriki do this, too, but Tay seems to wear her heart on her sleeve.

Everyone commenting seems to have sweet thoughts, alas i feel deep empathy for them & if i could would take them back to the mountains. To their Ancestral home, far from prying eyes & annoying cameras & humans.

Now that’s something you never see . Poor things shouldn’t be living behind glass how boring for them that’s actually cruel .and all so people can make money wow .

These poor Magnificent gorillas to have this as part in their lives but at least they have natural grass, some trees and bushes. Are any of the vegetation the type they like or used to have in their natural setting? Do they get a variety of fruits and vegetables on a regular bases? They do look healthy if not for need of mental stimulation but maybe the will come.

I wish all these adults would JUST BE QUIET so we enjoy the video. Give me a like if you agree’. The kids are sweet, they’re quite…but those adults bug me!!!!

They look bored out of their gourds. How big of an enclosure do they have? What kind of enrichments do they have to make it their brains happy?

Just so, so sad that these magnificent animals are not in their own habitat free to explore the wide open forests… but no, I once again humans think of their own pleasures first, putting them into captivity for us to gawk at, to stare at. We are a cruel species 😢😢

Why don't they have anything to climb and swing on? I don't understand that. They all look depressed and bored. Sad really. At least they have each other.

They’re SO, SO BORED. It just frustrates me. Yes, I guess its good to be able to give our children the opportunity to see the last of these majestic creatures, but My God, how many do they think are left now? I believe it’s about 800 Mountarin Gorillas at last guess. There’s that many people living within a 5 minute walk from where I’m sitting; and there probably 20,000 within 15 minutes. The town I live in has a population of about 600,000. My point is: people say that there’s an over-population problem on this planet. I don’t believe it. Taking right now, October 2021 as a marker, we seem to me to be quite capable of feeding our population at least in this country (the USA). Now whether this is proof that our Way of Life /Capitalism is best able to feed its people I sorta Doubt but nonetheless Man Does Seem to be Able to Feed Himself overall. Therefore the problem with the diminishing populations of the Great Apes in Africa (as well as the Big Cats of Asia, and all the other Critically Endangered species on Earth whose endangerment can be reasonably attributed to Habitat Loss and/or Fragmentation is NOT because there isn’t enough land formerly used as Habitat for one or more of the Now Critically Endangered Species THAT IS LAND NOW REQUIRED BY MAN INSTEAD SO HE CAN 1) GRAZE HIS BEEF CATTLE; 2) PLANT 5000 ha PALM OIL PLANTATIONS, 3) CLEARCUT THE LARGEST, MOST DIVERSE FOREST ECOSYSTEMS LEFT ON EARTH JUST TO BE TURNED INTO PULP FOR PAPER MANUFACTURING, TO MAKE pallets out of MAHOGANY!!, OR SIMPLY TO USE AS FIREWOOD. OR. 4) TO MINE FOR GOLD, DIAMONDS AND MANY OTHER RESOURCE MINERALS “NEEDED” BY HIGH TECH INDUSTRIES. These above-named uses are not (with the exception perhaps of firewood/charcoal harvesting in the Congo (a problem Im CONVINCED has a solution as well), but ALL or nearly all of these Habitat Loss problems can be Directly Attributable to Political Corruption in these Tropical and Sub-Tropical countries most all of which are less than 100 years into their Freedom From Colonial Domination and unfortunately a former Colonial Dominated culture of Corporate Greed and Corruption under the former Colonial Power has given way, now that Home Rule has been established, to a new Home-grown systeem of local greed and corruption. To Sum Up the Above Ponderous, Complicated paragraph: It’s NOT because we Need the Jungle Lands to Feed Ourselves. We could feed Everyone if we put our minds to it. It’s just a question of Greed; Greed and Corruption. But these things are starting to change. And guess who are the ones dragging their feet now that Democracy is Finally Really taking hold in these places ?? NGOs. with names like, well…. look them up. USAID too.

I hate that these beautiful creatures are kept in Zoos. To never explore and live in new places and see other gorillas they've neve met before. It's a sad cruel life for Gorillas just to give humans some entertainment. I pray to God every night that soon one day we can't exploit any animals in any way.

This just makes me sad to see them in a freaking zoo...just so awful..they should not be there
