A great time at The Tent with Melissa and Karry. Catching lots of fish. Fish fry. Zach and Rose. Chunky and Joanie. All I can say is that it was an awesome trip to The Tent.
You call it "sitting down and relaxing", but, to everyone who is cursed with being an early riser, we all KNOW it is more likely "trying like heck to keep quiet and not wake anyone else up"
Reminds me of my youth growing up on the Chesapeake Bay. We used to reel 'em in as fast as we could cast out. Striped bass, blue gills, croakers. All delicious. Lots of crabs, oysters, clams and mussels. That was back in the 50's I remember seeing boats piled high with 'rock' fish. The fish market paid 4 cents a lb and sold 'em for 10 cents a lb. That body of water fed many a person. We lived on seafood from April to October. Now it's all gone. Chem-lawn fertilizer run off caused the plankton to proliferate to the point that it took all the oxygen and killed the other sea creature. I long for those days. We used to go to this old rustic cinder block restaurant where they had a fried fish dinner eat Tuesday for $1. It was a good size whole bass fried up with french fries and cole slaw. It was hard for me to eat the entire meal as a kid. We used to have family oyster feasts. Oysters fixed everyway possible, fried, steamed, raw, oyster stew. We'd meet one of the boats that brought their catch into the Baltimore harbor and buy a keg of oysters for the feast. Good times revolved around seafood. Crab soup, crab cakes, crab imperial, fried hard crab, fried soft crab sandwiches. Yum and yum.
And a great time was had by all!!!Thanks for sharing with us Joe Melissa and Carrie. Grand times in the great outdoors. That was a good fish fry and one to come when you get home. Stay safe and keep having fun. Fred.
Thank you for inviting us into your life. We enjoy the time we spend at our cabin in South central Wisconsin as well. The solitude these places bring is priceless! And the brilliance of the stars at night is beyond belief, the milky way is so clear! Enjoy your time there!
Nice to see Joanie and Chunky! Such a wonderful place for making memories Joe! You’ve created a dream spot. Thanks for bringing us along on your trips!
8 pound northern in your PJs that’s awesome . Great Video again Joe ! I’m amazed in your videos that there’s never or very little boat traffic at all .
We saw no boats, we saw a couple canoes and a couple kayaks one afternoon. They were not fishing, they just paddled the lake and thats it. Rarely do I see anyone on the lake.
Here in Maine it was 92 yesterday. Then that cold front came through and this morning it was 40° and it only got 47° with all the rain we could’ve wanted ! Lol. Great video ! Take care Joe
You would starve without Melissa. Love tent videos. I can’t wait to see what Melissa can fish in her brand new fish house this season. Thanks for sharing another weekend!
Joe you are a lucky man. Having two beautiful women at the tent with you at once lol glad to see more people in your personal life enjoying the tent. You have a beautiful place to go to and have a unbelievable work ethic. Love watching the channel.
Joe you Alyssa and her friend had a nice time fishing you guys are catching fish if you had a fish fry you guys had a good time this weekend I like your videos keep them up
Nice black crappies so healthy and dark from the iron stained waters. The walleyes up there are so nice and golden brown too. We fish hungry jack and pike up there.

I've never seen the bugs so bad on your tent videos. I was tempted to shoo them away on the screen. Thanks for letting us into your lives again, Joe and Melissa! :)
Great video Joe and Melissa look like an awesome Joe what about this putting up netting around your fish processing station to keep the mosquitoes and gnats off just a thought
I've been fishing Reservation Lake here in AZ all my life. About 20 years ago, someone brought in live crawdads. Now there are thousands! The res is asking people to PLEASE fish them out. Never happen though. To many. Lol.
I can’t remember you ever doing so well fishing. I’m at my fishing shack on Lake Vermilion catching a few Walleye. Even caught a couple of fish that were in the over 20” slot and had to release them. It was nice seeing Zach again. He hasn’t been in the videos much lately. Thanks for the video Joe!
Joe I definitely hope you all had a wonderful time at the tent and an amazing time fishing!!! It is definitely fun watching you feed the birds out of your hands!!! You definitely can’t do that any farther south!!! Lol!! It was also definitely funny when Melissa was kicking but on catching all the fish!!!! Hey joe I think I’d definitely be getting some lessons from her!!! Awesome job Melissa and remember to keep ripping lips!!!!
Weather people are reporting that the middle of the country will have a very warm winter due to El Nino. That includes Minnesota and straight up north in the middle of Canada. 😁
Wow. Nice croppy and perch. Those perch are the best tasting fish I've ever ate. And you guys caught some nice ones. Joe you need one of those portable fish finders. They look kind of like a trolling motor. And they clamp on like one two. Gets some minnows and find a school of fish on the fish finder and you might catch more croppy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for allowing us to see your videos, I have been watching them for a long time, how nice to see them share with the family, greetings from Panama
That was definitely awesome to see you finally catching some crappies and some yellow perch!!! I don’t think I’ve ever caught a yellow perch before!!! I definitely no that I have been wanting to get on a lake and try catching some!!! Also we don’t really have many lakes here in southern Iowa that have walleyes!!! There is one lake that I no of that does have some walleye in it and about 3 or 4 years ago I took a friend out to fish for some and we definitely was able to catch are limit of walleye each but not a one was over 13” in length!!! I also caught one last winter ice fishing but he was only 10” long!!! I’ve herd that they were stocked a few years before we had went and I’ve also heard others say that they have caught up 20” ones also!!! So I guess I’m not real sure what that story is on that!!! Lol do you no if there are lots of crappies on that lake or just a few hear and there???? I definitely no that the northerns will eat them for sure!!!!
Love your videos Joe!!!! Enjoyed the Zachary & Rosie cameo! Melissa can really catch those fish!!!! We don’t have pike in Texas so I’m still wondering how good they are! 😋
Here where I am at in NC we get about a week to 10 days of them damn pesky gnats every year. Thank God they are gone now. Good Video thanks for sharing
Well Joe I can only offer this info. My dad got out fished by my mom for years. Uncanny how it happens. But it's like she had a lucky horseshoe or something. Glad to see everyone had fun
Joe: really good video!! Black crappie and good size perch!!! Really good table fair👍 You guys ate well, caught lots of fish and had Fun… see you next vid B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦 (Joe try and catch more black crappie!!)
Joe you would benefit greatly from a Clam Outdoors Escape screen tent. I have one at my cabin and one at home. Easy setup to keep gnats and mosquitoes away.
