When I see video clip of him in the Continental International Terminal. I see fear, pain, suffering, and isolation and a sense of abandonment in this Man.
Usually wars take a long time to cook before they break out. Yet this guy is travelling from his homeland and the war takes him by surprise? Take Yugoslavia. In the previous years before the wat broke out, you could already see the signs.
The man is fairly oblivious. If I was denied entry into a foreign country, I would want to go back home immediately. And if I’m told I can’t go back home even if I don’t know why, I’d still figure out something is very wrong.
He needs the Google Translate app. I feel bad for him even though it is just a movie! How many people feel the same way when they can’t speak a certain language?
I came to video because it is based on a true story. Last night I saw on Inside Edition that the real man this movie is based on lived inside the airport for 18 years in which some of the airport staff befriended him and brought him food and other items. It wasn’t until he became ill and first responders brought him to hospital, that I assume higher ups of the airport found out and dismantled his makeshift room and didn’t allow him to turn to living in the airport. Inside Edition reference this movie with Tom Hanks based on this real life man whose passport was stolen and he doesn’t speak the English language. I was very interested to watch this movie and want to see whatever became of the actual man this is based on. I didn’t get to see why Inside Edition was covering this story being that it happened over 20 years ago. Just thought I would share.
More than likely they are catching a layover flight, but the flight that they are coming in from was running very late. I had that happen to me going from Atlanta to Washington, DC. I landed in DC with only 8 minutes to catch my next flight.
Stretching their legs. A healthy display of group excersize after nearly 9 hrs of flight. That, alongside slight enthusiasm of getting into the country...sort of.
Am I the only one offended with this advertising? After watching one of the hardest scenes from The Terminal, where Viktor is lost and confused, watching how a war starts in his country, he feels as lost as he'll ever feel? Learn English? Why not chinese, spanish, corean or vulcanian? If this happens to you in a country like China, then good luck with your english.
