Netero Died like an ant sacrificing himself for the colony (Humans) and Meruem died in the most human way possible, Spending time and held hands with the person he cared the most. Found new details- Netero eyes were ant like during death, Meruem was blind due to the poison (so he kept asking if Komougi was there as he can't see now he finally saw how she saw the world) and Komougi finally felt his face and hand, which made her realise he wasn't not human but still accepted him. Both of them got little more closer by understanding each other, The OST played during their death is called "Understanding". HxH is simply beyond greatness
@@xdookmanex7576 Kid this is not even the tip of the iceberg 😂, If I write all things I wouldn't stop it would be paragraphs, the amount of details is insane everything from themes, character psychology, Power system and narration, antagonists, world building, how Gungi foreshadowed some events, the unique approach to the story and fights conceps, The unexpected moments and climax, politics corrupted real world struggle, different arcs with different settings feels like watching five shows at the same time with incredible amount of depth in every characters and battle strategy. You think you are mature because you have read Berserk or 20th fox century or monster or something like that? Who thinks like that are kids . You are so cute couldn't handle the line "Beyond greatness" had to comment some toddler crap your brain just couldn't comprehend. Just stick to Jjk and do your homework unlike you I have work to do so not coming back here to see your reply
I mean he is one of the strongest guys around, with very few that you can debate that are stronger (Killua's great grandpa and great great grandpa and Gon's father and ?grandfather? are possibly the only people that are around the same tier). If he is defeted hell will brake lose anyway so why not go with a bang.
@@pandoorapirat8644 yes however it's said that not only is it a terrible poison but it continually adapts and gets worse which is why it did end up killing meruem
I love the power scaling in HxH. When one of the strongest nen users lost, he resorted to just using a normal human made weapon, and that killed his opponent. Nen mystery gives you superhuman abilities, but not god like abilities. I like how the raw military power of a nation could still probably beat the ant invasion. They just sent the hunter association in there because it was simpler for them to deal with it.
@@joelcains2140 are you talking about Alluka? Because it doesn't seem like she has any defense or combat powers, she can only grant wishes. Illumi was planning to just kill her with his bear hands.
nah any military force wouldnt have done it, they clearly state in both mediums that simply throwing more bodies and weapons at the problem will only increase the number of ants thus making the situation increasingly hopeless, also by the time anyone was able to warn of the threat ants already have nen and were spreading its use throughout their ranks. we can see a military forces’ effectiveness against against ants in the form of cheetu, who is easily the dumbest and least qualified ant whos only real gimmick is being fast and strong and durable, no one was able to do anything about him except moral who was able to outsmart him using nen. cheetu could probably single handedly take out most of an invading force if one was sent to deal with the ants, the royal guard alone could easily ward off an invasion. idk how to get my point across any better but no a military force of almost any size would just be fodder, the only other strategy that -might- have worked would have been to gather like the strongest nen users including the phantom troupe, every zodiac plus every other useful hunter we can assume exists and have them all figure out a strategy to fight in tandem with each other, train together for like a month and then hope they get like a 1v30 against each royal guard hoping they lose as few casualties as possible to even have a shot at meruem and even then theyd prob still have the rose because if they lost their one chance humanity is extinct
I know that in the future of hxh, the poor man rose will definitely gonna be use a lot. And the only person who will use it a lot is gyro. Because the poor man rose is stated to be ultimate evil by the narrator, and gyro is stated to be the most evil character in hxh. Which just fits too perfectly.
Gyro used air invasion to conquer the dark continental after discover gyroscope like artifact that allow large mass weapon of destruction to be deployed without the for conventional air balloon. 😂
@@adrianoabreu4799Gyro's alive. He was reborn as a Chimera Ant and probably escaped to do his own thing. He was never actually shown in the series. They're most likely saving him for something big later down the line
Many ppl missunderstands this weapon, it's not just a nuke. It's basicly a mix of the virous bomb from warhammer 40k and a nuke. What killed the ants was not the radiation because it doesn't have radiation, it was a poison that's contaigous, makeing it a bio weapon and not a tactical one like a regular nuke.
@@mr.keleton9710 radiation poisoning can't be transmitted from person to person. But the poison from the poor man rose which is a chemical/viral poison can be transmitted from person to person.
@@mr.keleton9710 the physics of irradiation doesn't increase like a virus, but always depreciates by half-life. Things can be contaminated by radiation particles and dust, but it doesn't multiply because that's not how irradiation works.
I love how the series just stopped for a minute to give a documentary about this weapon and how it's essentially human cruelty in weapon form. Also I love the fact that the ants were often made to be cruel but as they were turning more human, the author threw a switch and pretty much said, "Humans were always more cruel than ants."
It’s kind of hard to give the ants any sort of moral high ground. They stated their arch seeing humans as nothing more than food. Their king embodied arrogance while he and his guard flouted powers that they never earned or worked for. Only towards the end of his life did the king start to show any behavior that was positive. And even that behavior was reserved only for those he deemed worthy. It’s like planet of the apes, in time the ants would’ve become just like humans if not worse
@palonoctisursa We as humanity also devoured anything in our way in our beginnings seeing other species as food, we have leaders who wield power they never worked for. They were just behaving like humans all along, because that's what they ate and assimilated.
@@palonoctisursa in a sense, humans are the same as ants, since humans view animals as livestocks, ants view humans are livestocks as well, humans are simply smarter and more devious just as what netero said, actually, you cant debunk what the most credible character in HxH said, humanity is the evilest of all, and in the world of Hxh, it is true
Slight correction: It definitely isn't radiation like with a nuke. It's some kind of disease/poison. They explained that the toxin would turn anything it infected would produce more of the poison. So it's actually chemical or biological warfare rather than nuclear.
I mean, radiation poisoning is a thing. One of the symptoms of which is cancer, where your cells literally kill your body because their gentic coding is damaged and they reproduce endlessly until the tissues they compose interfere with healthy functions of the body. That said, this normally takes at least weeks or months, not hours or days. Though extreme radiation exposure can hit those timeframes.
Honestly I want more twist like these on shows, even if an important character, better yet the main Character dies, they have a back up plan just in case to make sure the enemy is dead.
Recently I started to believe that would be the only way to kill Sukuna in JJK manga. Using a mass destruction weapon symbolizes what humans are capable of doing to ensure the survival of the next generation.
Man will go to anything to wage war on itselves for it's own personal gain. When meruem saw into the eyes if a dying netero, he was staring at the bottom less malace of the human heart
Netero Died like an ant sacrificing himself for the colony (even his eyes were antlike) while Meruem died like the most human way possible, slowly holding hand and spending time with the person he cared the most.
Used ten times in over 250 countries, either you got your numbers switched, your math is wrong, or those bombs should've left the planet uninhabitable with an average blast range of 25 countries, now that's an impressive measuring unit
SPOILER ALERT: What makes this a real masterpiece- is how this eventually teaches Meruem humanity by showing him his own weakness. He’s then able to enjoy his last moments with Komugi while fully understanding that their connection is more important than power. Such a beautiful story
He already understood that with her. "do not make me repeat myself." Even with Netero he refused to do so, yet if you notice she is the only person he ever states he will repeat himself as many times as needed for. Refusing to repeat himself is placing his power as most important... Essentially "you are listen and not question me because I am superior"... Except with her.
I love how the fact it's been used so many times all around the world is a testament to humanity's darkness. Something so destructive, even cruel and yet so trivial for those who make it and use it.
Well the bomb is analogous to a nuclear weapon and the after affects are symbolic of radiation poisoning, there technically was no radiation. Instead the king and his guard died to a chemical poison that converted their own bodies into a contagious poison, that’s why komugi died along with meruem
Netero is the most dangerous old man in manga. Not because he's the strongest. There are others who are stronger. But because his sacrifice gambit is the only one that ever worked. As cold as some of those old men are, none of them are as cold as Netero.
As much as a liked meruem at the end and thought he wouod make an actually good ruler he couldnt of died a better death, snuggled in the arms of someone who loved him enough to die with him with kindness in both of their hearts. No ending of any ither shiw has ever touched my heart in that way
To anyone who needs this- Your a wonderfull smart human being who can do great things dont let anything bring you down men woman bullys teachers bad parents etc etc hope you make it through life with a smile this worlds to dark to cindle your flame-
Its refreshing on a Shonen manga where you expected the ultra powerful creature to survive a nuke being killed by it. I wonder if he wrote it because he kept imagining what would have happened if Bulma didn't take 16s nuke away. Cuz ill I can think of after watching this in the anime is if Cell would have died too when 16 tried to self destruction with his nuke
The ants made the same mistake as the neanderthals, because of their individual strength they stood no chance against a “weaker” species that has to rely on and cultivate a different more sinister kind of strength
Dang, what a trip. Got me through some normal meals, and got me through some rough days. This comment will never be seen, but thanks for going on that crazy journey! Looking forward to watching Below Zero!
Netero was a POS for just assaulting the king like that. I cry for the king every time I watch what happened to him and that blind girl. He was so misunderstood
Part of Netero knew Meruem was on a path to becoming better and didn’t want it to end like that, but no matter what he could not falter in the mission given to him. Shit always felt so bitter
What. An. Absolutely. Magnificent. Episode.. This person and this moment.. God this episode really killed me, it was so beautiful but yet ohh so sad.. Never in all my 32 years alive has a cartoon made me feel such extremely strong emotions... It was so amazing i'll get the episode number tattood on my body because it was Such a massive punch to my heart and I am blessed to have experienced such profound emotions from characters that aren't even alive And the ending built up so perfectly too!🤩😍
It's NOT a pipe bomb though, you chud. It's still a NUCLEAR BOMB that's ultra compact. It killed more than 20 times as many people as both of our real worlds two bombs killed. Radiation could take down anything. You could be very resistant to it but the strongest radiation could take down anything. A grenade? A pipe bomb? The MOAB like in call of duty? All of those are noise compared to atomic bombs.
He took a nuke to the face.. That would vaporize most things within a large radius let alone right next to it. It's impressive he wasn't killed by the initial explosion. Good death for a strong character.
It wasnt even radiation, it spread to everything even people close to people or animals that has been near them. One of the greatest manga panels in history is Neteros face smiling
Best thing and darkest thing was netero killing himself and his speech, he could have let him kill him so the blast would be closer but he wanted him to die by the radiation just to show that the true monster were humans
The radiation bit really shocked. Typically, these power fantasy anime don't really have much in the way of aftereffects. Like, there are some many guys who could create craters similar to that of a nuclear bomb, or worse, but it's "clean energy" and often has no side effects after it's all said and done.
