I grew up laughing at Saving Silverman, so no matter what role I see him in I can't help but smile. Phenomenal actor, but he's well known and cast for being darkly hilarious.
"They in the deep south", "They look like the same age" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I had to pause the vid, I thought I was gonna pass out from oxygen deprivation from laughing so hard
"leatherface, leatherface he didnt like looking in the mirror so he had to go and get a better face" BJ you're hilarious man. i love you both. love your reactions. Never change
2006 version tells why the older guy in their house had one leg and the sheriff missing teeth It was because other victims escaped fighting their family But all those victims died No one survived Also 2013 shows Sally as a old woman. She did that movie before she died in real life She played the aunt!!!!
in the making of/behind the scenes of this movie on youtube, during the beginning gas station scene with the O'Possum, they kept trying to get the camera shot done but the opossum kept looking cute and adorable and the crew kept laughing saying "you're supposed to be menacing and frightening!" - and the poor little opossum kept looking like a puppy in the window wanting to be adopted 🥺
opossums have the cutest faces when they're not showing their tooth, they look like dolls and they only live 1-4 years, so they're all like..babies, haha
This is a great remake. They built off of the original which is cool. This version is more Hollywood Texas and the original is more West Texas Texas. A really good watch and reaction. thanks guys!
If y'all can remember back to the murder ride on the house of 1,000 corpse they were really showing real life murderers one was ED GEIN he was the guy that inspired the Texas chainsaw massacre movie
"Leatherface, Leatherface....." Ya got me with that one! lol And you probably already know, but this was inspired by a real life person named Ed Gein. His story is told in a movie called "Deranged". Not the greatest movie, but not that bad either. The tagline for the movie was "Pretty Sally Mae died a very unnatural death, but the worst hasn't happed to her yet". ".
This is one of the best horror remakes/sequels ever made and Jessica Biel acted her ass off in this movie. Also, that shot of the blood landing on the screen just as the cartoon character makes a shocked face is perfection.
Top tier horror remake. My poor mother took my brother and I and to see this in theaters around Halloween, as our stepfather bought us toy chainsaws years prior and we used to to massacre him with them because of these movies. She's not crazy about horror movies, but that's what makes her the best Mom!
@@raymondlin8728 - It was a great Chritmas gift! Prior to that we used our arms and just made chainsaw noises. Granted, this is a gift from the same man that bought my two brothers and I mini toilet plungers years even prior, and we were as delightful as could be, so there was something of a warped sense of humor to be appreciated...
This is one of the few horror movies that scared me as a teen. It’s just so intense. The director has his foot on your neck through like 80% of the movie
Great reaction, this movie is one of the best, especially as far as remakes go. Yall came through with the scary movie reactions for all the horror fans! Much love and looking forward to what's coming!
T,he actor R.Lee Ermey who played the sherriff also played the drill instructor in Full Metal Jacket. Watching horror movies with you two is a lot of fun.
Im an original type gal, but got to give thumbs up for the remake. Its weird that hitchhiking or picking one up was never scary and a big thing back in the day. And NEVER left a Vet hitchin' a ride and in the 70s there were a lot. Even with films like this out. I never thought twice about it till early 90s and I hitched rides from the early 70s as a teen. Worked great, when u werent old enough to drive (14, 15 yrs old or so) got me to many great concerts. Memories of a lifetime. Wouldnt do any of that these days. Is it age (young and dumb to old and cautious), higher threat or what? idk. I do know I miss the carefree/free spirited, free of fear, young hippie days. Back then we even left windows wide open and doors unlocked with half the neighborhood running in and out. It was all about the love. Thanx so much, sorry went off horror topic, lol, stay groovy, Peace
I vividly remember my dad picking up a hitchhiker in deep rural south Georgia in the mid-90s. It's crazy how much times have changed... on that same ride, my dad sent me into the gas station with $1.52 exactly to pay for a couple gallons of gas! lol I'm glad I got a chance to experience the latter end of the 1900s
Another trip down our crazy Texas side streets complete! ahaha, Travis county is indeed where Austin sits and the house used in the movie is a pretty popular tourist spot just outside of Austin, but people do live there so no trespassing! 😂
I legit think this is one of the scariest movies I've seen. I was 13 when I saw it in theaters and being from TX it had me nervous every time I'd be out in some rural area even when I was older 😆
This is actually the first horror movie I ever saw haha I was 11 or so when this came out, maybe a bit too young in retrospect… to this day I credit this movie with my fear of nails being ripped off from the scene where dude is dragged into the basement or whatever 😂 not sure why that moment stood out to me the most. But then again all of it was disturbing af lol
Top notch commentary on this one guys! 😂 50:55 BJ: “ I’m talking about the baby; wasn’t young enough to be a brand new baby… cuz they was trying to feed him canned food!” HAHAHA! Great observation.Great remake and choice film for Halloween
Leatherface was portrayed by my good friend Andrew Byrnarski! He loved doing this and at his massive size, he was perfect for this role! he like 6' 5" and around 300lbs and former bodybuilder. Been in a ton of movies and sings in his band.
I love that blanket!!!! That is SO perfect what a brilliant idea!!! (low key it reminds me of The Crow...which I just checked and you guys have NOT yet reacted to it!!! You should!!! Cult classic from the 1990s with a real life tragic story about the lead actor Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, who died making the film)
This reaction is GREAT! Asia’s reaction is EVERYTHING!!! 😂 7:03, 17:04, 22:09, 22:13 (“oh HELLL NO!”) 😂😂😂, 23:55, 30:27, 38:44, 40:00 (“I can’t watch!”) 😂 40:41, 40:46, 41:36 (best one! 😂😂😂🤣) and 47:22 😆 Y’all have to check out The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) Just as good!
These and the prequel are hands down the best remakes of all the horror remakes. I would watch "The beginning " it explained the whole family backstory. Also Jessica Beil is so fine
It wasn’t supposed to be scary, it was only supposed to mess with your mind, that’s why it had very little blood and gore, that’s why it’s an amazing movie, most horror movies today only rely on gore and only appeals to gore hounds, that’s not what horror movies are to me
some people hate on this film but after the first one this is the best, those couple earlier sequels are basically comedies, the later sequels to this are just junk, it's one of the few remakes that are worth a crap honestly, and lee ermy is just as scary as leatherface and perfect for such a role..their fear is shown amazingly well..at a level rarely seen in horror films, and biel is of course insanely hot, haha, great film angles and usage of lighting as well
This is why 9 out of 10"scary movies" don't scare me... bc I would never be me in those situations lol. Horror movies are pretty much premised on bad decisions, but it's so much fun to see Asia hiding and hear BJ's one-liners lol
I seen this in theaters a couple times. Once it was just me and a friend the rest of the theatre was empty. That was my best movie memory in there all alone with just my buddy on the big screen.
R. Lee Ermy AKA sheriff Hoyt was also a real life drill sergeant for years . He has now passed away as of a few years ago but he was always the best in all of his movies
Besides Hills Have eyes this is by far the best remake imo. Sure I love the hitchhiker and used to act like him to get a reaction from people, but here instead we have uncle wheelchair's "you're so dead and don't even know it" scene which I unfortunately can't do because I have two legs.
One of my favourite horrors ❤ unpopular opinion but I think it’s better than the original. It’s so much more sinister and R.Lee Ermy was perfect at playing the sadistic sheriff. The prequel ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning’ was great too. I can’t wait for your reactions on this
Omg this was CRAZY… I loved every minute of it, Jessica Biel was amazing! Both of your reactions just priceless, thanks so much for the fun and laughs even though it was gory and scary as shit! Leather face, leather face had to get a better face, Oooh BJ…😹😹💚💀🖤👻💫
LOL! Love your blankie!! :D What a great end for Boo-tober! You saved the scariest movie this year for last! X) Loved y'alls reactions! Didn't realize y'all are also here in Texas; howdy neighbors! :))))
You have NO idea on how excited i got when i saw you reacting to this! Leatherface or Bubba as his nickname is amongst the horror fans,is my favourite "horror movie serial killer",as he is the only actual one inspired by several real life persons. Not only that, usually im very picky and not easy to please with constant remakes of songs, like i am with movies or tv series/shows. But i will tell you this much, this movie right here i consider the BEST remake in movie history of not only horror movies, but movie remakes in general! I know you got alot of supporting followers who loves Keanu Reeves and talks about him at any given chance,i think Jessica Biel is on that level for me,i have watched her since she was a teen in Aaron Spellings 7th Heaven Tv series/show (Remember i mentioned him in your Scary Movie 2 reaction, because Tori Spelling, his daughter was in the cast) And ever since 7th Heaven i have watched EVERYTHING she has been in,i absolutely love her as an actress. And she has never really failed me,every role she has done, has impressed me,i believed in her character. And she is absolutely brilliant in this movie as Erin, who tries to keep her friends together, and at the same time takes control to have problems fixed and so on,only to fall victim to "the wrong family". I love the entire cast for this, but i really have to highlight Sheriff Hoyt, played by the late and brilliant R. Lee Ermey! Im sure when you get to his presentation point in this reaction,i paused you guys in the very beginning to write most of this feedback, you will recognize him as the Drill Sgt from Full Metal Jacket. Every role he entered,he did to perfection. Either creeping you out to a maximum,or he made you laugh, understand him/feel for him etc. He could really play it all! Long live his memory! He sadly passed away in April 2018 (right before the pandemic in other words,so fairly recent) In Santa Monica,California. It is said that he passed due to "complications related to pneumonia",at still only 74. If you still remember,he was in Seven with Brad Pitt,Gwyneth Paltrow,Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey that you reacted to as well,he even has a role in "Mississippi Burning". He has also had his voice in Call Of Duty the videogame,he had a role in a episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit",he has voiced a character in Simpsons and dozen of disney cartoonie movies. He could be a convincing bad or good guy,or even someone in between like that over the top Drill Sgt. 3:08 This start with the "actual crimescene footage" and tense music, made it for me,i was creeped out from the start! They managed to capture everything with this movie, not only you feeling grossed out because of certain scenes, but you felt the creeping horror thanks to one outstanding soundtrack, and i can not adress enough how well everyone is acting in this movie. Nothing feels over the top,or "bad acting" at all,you feel the pain and horror everyone good is feeling,as well as understand how messed up this entire family is. It is actually a perfect moment for you guys to react to this on too,as Gun Media pretty much just launched theyr videogame Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Game,i think this is only its 2nd month out. Where the game developers has dedicated themselfs into making the maps down to the teeth in comparrasement towards how the movie world looks like in the first movie. 47:37 And they left you hanging with the crimescene footage. To let you know despite all his injuries,he had retreated to his safe space, down in the basement. And he was still very much capable of taking people out! I say it again, this is the best remake movie i have ever seen,i actually like it above the original, eventhough i have mad respect for the reality of the first one,and what everyone went through back then. With this movie they followed the original story somewhat, but a good remake makes it a different movie on top of it,and thats exactly what they did! You get the familiar storyline, but it has completely different scenes as well, its basically like a new movie.
In my opinion this is 100 times better than the other Texas Chainsaw Massacre that was camping as hell. I mean the other TCM lots of warning signs they shouldn't have been there. In this one they were just helping someone and it went bad from there. This one was a lot more scary.
Yes, the city of Austin is in Travis County. You guys crack me up!! Time for me to subscribe and say Hello from Bexar County, (San Antonio) which is pronounced Bear for those that don't know.
Sheriff Hoyt: psychological horror, Thomas Hewitt: physical horror and slasher Great reaction!!! happy halloween in US, happy day of the dead here in Mexico.
BJ looks high AF, lol. Sitting there all chilled watching those kids get slaughtered, with his arms folded neatly on his lap or eating popcorn, head tilted slightly, eyes half open and as red as rising sun. Too funny. Am I right? Happy Halloween 🎃
For the past 4 years I've always and only watched nikki and steven react and I still really enjoy there reaction but yous 2 are on another level. So entertaining, real and the movies are always awesome. ❤
Hey Asia and BJ. I was in high school back in the 70’s and you’re right. Hitchhiking was very popular back then and I used to hitchhike all the time. No more. lol!
