It's a bullet hell, but in order to attack, you have to type letters with your keyboard. That's something I haven't seen before.
While bullet patterns are mostly simple, the typing will distract you a lot, so even these simple patters can be tough as hell to avoid. Though, most of my fails were because I pressed the wrong key. Typing Latin words with my left hand only is not something I usually do.
In this game, while you're holding the book you won't take damage. If you get hit, you will lose the book and the combo will reset. But there is some attacks, which won't hurt you or reset the combo. They usually cause debuff instead. Second boss - Magda, has vomit projectiles which will obscure the letters you need to type. Master has fire projectiles, which will make you lose the letters you already typed. I was hit by one of them.
There's also a Cardinal, who sometimes does an unavoidable attack, where he dashes at the player. But it doesn't reset the combo, as long as you have the book.
