If Universal wants F&F in their parks, why don't they just make auto stunt show like Lights, Motors, Action? That just seems like a no brainier. Also, love to see you do Epcot's Cranium Command.
Goliath 20 Exactly! I wanna see a stunt show based on the films located adjacent to the much better and more awesome version of Fast and Furious Supercharged!
HOT DAMN that would have worked! Replace Fear Factor Live with an auto stunt show featuring cars from the films? I would see that show every time I visited the park! Also, Cranium Command will get a video eventually, just need to figure out where the hell Buzzy is...
Theme Park History I’d like to see the newer and better Fast and Furious Supercharged ride and the Fast and Furious stunt show to be added to Universal Studios Florida and replace the terrible Fast and Furious Supercharged attraction complete with a much better queue, pre-show, and ride experience as well as a gift shop that sells merchandise from both the ride and film franchise as well as the stunt show!
@@Darkness1984 Yeah Darkness has it right, they arent intended to be fullsized helicopters. Maybe if the CGI wasnt so shitty it would be more obvious. These are intended to be some kind of drone. Still looks goofy as fuck
One of my favorite things about this attraction is that Universal itself makes fun of it. When I went to the Hollywood Horror Makeup Show, there was a joke about one of the characters running from security and hiding in Supercharged because “nobody goes in there”. Definitely got a laugh out of me, lol.
Yeah we rode it last week and the cast inside the ride line were making fun of the charecters on screen not even calling them by they're charecter names but by they're real names those crew members were the best part of it 🤣🤣🤣
Unpopular opinion: I didn't hate the Hollywood version when I rode it. Its not a horrible ride as part of the tram tour... But the fact they took it and made a full ride out of it in Orlando is criminal. Heads should have rolled for that decision.
It's my favorite of the 3 stops as part of the tram tour (kong, earthquake, and f&f). I legit like that it makes you feel as if your going pretty fast.
Ugh. I don't like the tram ride. It just seemed like a lazy way out of amazing attractions. Universal in Florida will always be, at least, 1000x better than Cali. Plus no IOA.
I agree 100% with you. I actually have a buddy who is a design engineer for Universal and when I asked him about this ride. He gave me a straight 🤦♂️and said we could have done so much better.
I just rode the “ride” for the first time, last week. Holy crap….you don’t undersell the shitiness of this ride. I was on the left hand side of the “party bus” and didn’t even get to see the wonder that is “Vin taking down the helicopter”. The absolute best part of the ride for me was the second pre show theater. The live-action lady acting in that one did not give a single shit about the attraction and was sarcastic and insulting to the people on the TVs. It was wonderful. I told her how much her performance made me laugh and she got so excited. Apparently I made her day with my complaint.
Was not disappointed, this was exactly the energy I wanted to see and hear when in regards to this sham of a ride, no you can’t even call it a ride, it’s a glorified short film with a shaking seat. Here’s to the next video!
DonaldsDisneyGuide Haha! Yeah! I’d like to do a “curse you” to that terrible attraction and all the other gosh-awful attractions that are extremely terrible!
They could have at the very least showed more respect to fans of the franchise by putting you in a nice car instead of a lame bus. This ride could have been great like Transformers and Spiderman. Easily one of worst attractions Universal has ever created and a major slap in the face to fans who have stuck with the films for over 20 years. Supporting them at the box office even if they weren't even all that great.
I was at Universal last year and when I asked an employee what type of ride it was they simply replied "Don't worry about, I honestly wouldn't ride it as it's not that good." Thankful for the honesty haha
A couple of days ago, I edited original footage from Universal Studios Florida from the 1990s. I created a small video to pay homage to some of the original attractions. If any of you are interested, check out my channel! Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4lI1PYNpCqs.html Thanks & Hope everyone is staying safe during this time!
ĘŃD MŶ ŠÜFFĘRĮÑG!!!¡!¡! Me too! I appreciated the fact that they used original props from the past Alfred Hitchcock Attraction... so sad to see original parts of the park transitioning to THIS
@@teddyfurstman1997 anything is better than this. just making it a 3d screen ride was the most effortless attempt considering that it replaced not one, but two awesome attractions Disaster and Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue.
I was once in the Hollywood version of the attraction, so I knew what to expect from the Orlando one and I took my friend with me, who is a hardcore Fast and Furious fan and went to the attraction. When the ride ended I asked my friend, "Well, how did you like it?" And he was like, "That was absolute garbage. I'm going to forget that this is even someway related to Fast and Furious, heck! I'm going to forget that this even existed!" I laughed so hard when he said that with a dead inside look on his face.
This hurts to watch. My first trip to Universal, I spent the whole day getting so hyped up for the B2TF ride as it was my favorite movie at the time. Come to find out at the end of the day when I FINALLY got to the area the ride was in to ride it.... after being unable to locate it by the markings on the map, we asked an employee.... it has closed for good the VERY DAY BEFORE I ARRIVED. My 13 year old self learned cynicism that day.
I find it absolutely humorous that this ride has one of the largest queue buildings in the entire park, but because the ride would be lucky to get just one bus full of riders each day you barely even notice.
From my time as a Universal Employee, these are the following comments I’ve heard from guests and coworkers: “Cat in the Hat is more intense than Fast and Furious!!” “Driving through the interstate is more fast and furious than the ride!!” *checks to see the wait time is 30 minutes* “Those poor bastards...” And yes, even those who work there know it’s a piece of shit - their words, not mine. Even after employee preview, everyone was asking if the ride could be turned into a Harry Potter attraction about the Knight Bus instead.
Fast and the Furious could’ve literally just been a Test Track/Radiator Springs Racers clone where you race another car filled with other riders through San Francisco while one of the villains try and take you down and while the main characters try to protect you. That’s all it had to be.
I really love just how aggressive you got about this attraction. I really feel the anger. It’s deserved. Fuck this ride. Imagine if they’d used the rumored mario kart system? Imaging a attraction about a racing film be about racing
Im one lame @$$ dork and even I have to say, the "party" bus is one of the lamest things ever. I cringe for the people when I've seen them getting on the ride. 🤣
4:16 - Actually, Vin Diesel did return as Dom in Tokyo Drift. But it was at the end of the film as an uncredited cameo. He agreed to cameo in exchange for Universal's ownership to rights of the Riddick series and character, in lieu of financial payment.
If I may paraphrase Dr. Forrester-- "It has nothing to do with Fast. It has nothing to do with Furious, or Supercharged. It has everything to do with HURTING."
Honestly I didn’t know what to expect when I first rode it, and I haven’t even watched the movies and I was disappointed. Honestly I hope Universal gets rid of it from the studio tour, as I think the final part of the tour should exciting, and not whatever supercharged is. Keep up the great work dude! I love to see your vids!
This... has to be the best video I’ve seen all year. I cannot express how much excitement I had when you shred this shit ride to pieces. I could feel your ANGERRR. I’d really like to see another rant video in the future cuz this one was just to funny afff 🤣
A hybrid dueling dragons/rock n roller coaster type ride should have been the basis for a fast and furious ride. Have two coasters that “race” each other.
"I thought "Journey in your imagination" was bad, but this takes the cake" oooh shit.... but accurate. F&F is terribly themed snoozefest from start to finish.
Journey into imagination with figment is a nostalgia trip for me! I really hope that it gets some imagineering love in the future with the EPCOT revitalization!
wrexnopolitan sexnopolitan they could've done something better, like bringing BTTF again, heck! Maybe a stranger things ride, but nope, wasted on this crap
ĘŃD MŶ ŠÜFFĘRĮÑG!!!¡!¡! they could’ve used all the space for the ride, because it’s a TON of space, and built an indoor dueling roller coaster or something. such wasted potential
That’s a tricky one I would choose superstar limo for 3 reasons. One I already rode f&f and I would want to ride limo because I never got to ride it. Two I would just want to laugh at how bizarre superstar limo is. And three I don’t want my eardrums to explode which is what fast and furious does to my poor ears. One time I warned my friend to cover his ears while we rode he didint listen and he regretted it and said you were right
This ride had to have had the longest queue building I’ve ever been in. I went during a universal meet up so there were no lines and I was thinking does this ride really need this much space. I must have went through 3 warehouse sized rooms before I got to the loading stations and the track seemed to be nothing more than a big oval.
They were clearly anticipating the ride to be way more popular than it actually turned out to be. The only reason why anyone experienced it in Hollywood is because it's shoved down their throats in the tram tour. As a standalone attraction it falls flat on its face because everyone can just skip it.
When we went, a few months after it opened, there was NO LINE! The Universal cast member actually made fun of how terrible, and lame the ride was, and how disappointing it was, after all the hype!
The one for Dueling Dragons or (Hagrids Motorbike race is what it’s called now) was so long there wasn’t any line and it took me and my brother like 20 minutes to walk through all of it
I rode this ride a year ago. The dude next to me was WAY to excited to be on this ride... He kept yelling "TOO FAST TOO FURIOUS", and even announced that he was obsessed with Vin Diesel and was his number one fan. He rushed up in front pushing everyone aside during the presenter part. When Ludacrious showed up he started to hyperventilate, and started yelling at the screen saying he was ready and that he drove a 2004 Honda Accord which made everyone really uncomfortable. This kept going on and when we actually got into the ride I was forced to sit next to him, when Vin Diesel showed up he was trying to grasp at him screaming "I'm ready I'm part of the family! pick me!", and even before that when you see that Vin Diesel car he literally almost jumped off the ride to get to the car, but I guess decided against it at the last moment as he faintly whispered "my accord is faster and more furious". Every time Vin Diesel said something about family he would tear up, and scream "I'm part of the family!". This dude was losing his shit during the actual ride part screaming and acting like the actors were in real danger yelling at them to watch out and even had his hands up like he was driving a imaginary steering wheel. At the end he literally lost it and started weeping when Vin Diesel thanked everyone. I swear it was the weirdest shit I've ever seen.
20:26 they did end up adding some interactivity to the queue later on. You can honk horns and take trivia and stuff. I've never done it tho, since I would have to open the app for it and I walk by the area too fast
Your profile picture of Nick Wilde perfectly describes my face after I got off this ride (and Skull Island: Reign of Kong as well). I hoped it wouldn't suck as much as people said it would--but, it did. So glad they recovered with Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure... The ride design team got their act back together.
I remember when it first opened in Florida. We waited about 2 hours in the rain and we were literally next in line an the ride broke down. We ended up waiting like another hour, I remember walking out of the ride after and saying wtf was that. an you could hear the disappointment in the crowd of people lmao
Fun fact, they redid agent novak’s lines, but only redubbed, since it was filmed to be obvious what they are saying, it’s VERY obvious he isn’t mouthing what he’s saying
You hit the nail on the head...Universal could have bought an off-the-shelf rollercoaster and slapped the F&F name on it and it would have been better than this.
This is one of your best videos! My fiancé and I absolutely hate this ride. In fact, we were just in Universal Orlando last week and the ride was closed. One guest walking by us said “Aww, it looks likes it’s closed” I turned around with all of the hate I can muster in my heart and said “Good! It should be closed because it sucks!”
evan weiner YEAH! I wanna see that happen and as a replacement to that gosh-awful ride complete with a much better queue and pre-show and a gift shop for guests to exit into!
I’ll be honest, i forgot this attraction existed when I last went to universal. I stumbled upon it by pure accident. There was nothing outside that made me want to go on it, the building looked like a generic warehouse. I passed by the building 4 times before realizing that was the ride, it didn’t draw me in whatsoever
When I first heard they were going to make a Fast and Furious ride, I was excited cause I thought they would make ride thst was like Test Track or Rockin Roller Coaster but once I saw the reveal and when I went on the ride, I was so disappointed with the story and style of the attraction. Two weeks ago Universal Roblox released their version of F&F and was like Rockin Rollar Coaster and it was so much better than the actual ride, the songs to the ride were also spot on cause of the songs that were used from the movies like Tokyo Drift, there’s a video of the Roblox version online, you should check it out, once my friend and I would not stop going on the fake version of F&F we both said to each other that Universal must change the ride
waited around 30 minutes for this ride, and even that short of a wait time couldn't save this ride. the ride itself was like 2 minutes, very boring, very loud for just no reason. quite possibly the worst attraction in the whole park. i feel terrible for the guest who waited possibly up to 2+ hours for this in the first opening months
this was the last ride my sister’s husband worked on with universal creative before he passed away and he hated everything he had to work on that had to do with it. they really didn’t have much creative freedom and could only do what was instructed. :/
When Super Nintendo world opens, you should do an express episode on sonic spinball at Alton towers to fit with the video game theme park attraction theme.
I haven’t been on either version of this attraction but after watching this, I feel like I could maybe give Hollywood a slight pass on their usage of the tram, but if you’re going to have a giant screen like that, you should at least make the film look good but Florida, you have no excuse! A ride built from the ground up with no restrictions of having to use the tram vehicle should have been like Test Track/RSR or a roller coaster or even Lights, Motors Action. Heck, even if they did a BTTF or Star Tours ride system they could have had fun careening around corners, and making the car do a jump like in the first film. It seems as though the ride developers just didn’t care.
I didn't know if anyone has ever commented about this aspect of Fast & Furious: Supercharged; but on my recent ride through on the Hollywood version before the C-19 issue as of right now, I noticed that Agent Novak's voice was not only changed but also badly lip-synced. And I'm like; "What happened to Novak's voice? Did the original actor got into controversy?" As it turns out that the new Novak dialogue was actually from the Orlando version of Supercharged which for some reason Universal decided to transported here in Hollywood. Couldn't Universal leave the Hollywood Novak dialogues just as it and vice versa in the Orlando version? That way Novak's dialogue/lip-syncing wouldn't that distracting.
Bro for reals when I went on the ride in Hollywood I was like they did change the voice know it makes no sense cause he says “ Roman Pierce your under arrest “ and then Roman says “ do you no how long it took for me to iron the shirt “ and then he yells “ your under arrest right know “ it sounds terrable when it use to say “ Roman Pierce on the ground “ and then he says the iron shirt thing it makes more sense instead of how it is now
For me, the worst part isn’t even the ride the worst part is when they hit the nitro and that air blasts in your face and somehow never fails to rupture my eardrums every time I ride
The moment I saw the RANT word in the title I was like "That's a first, but then again, jack has some damn good reasons to rant on this one." But hey the deed is done now. Let's just stick to the movies and nothing else.
I've always thought of this as just another segment of the studio tour at Universal Hollywood, so I've never had a problem with it. I don't think I'd want to stand in line for an hour to get on if it were a stand alone ride, but its a decent ending to the studio tour. The only real issue I have with it at Hollywood is the tram drivers sometimes don't show the pre-show intro videos.
This would have been a perfect opportunity to bring back the duelling coasters. One is Dom and the "family" the other is the Feds. Both with their own pre-show from that sides' perspective. Or even a two-track racing coaster with a street racing theme.
I agree whole heartedly with this !!! I worked there and we thought it would be something like The Mummy or Gringotts nope ! Soo many guests complained getting off that ride smh major L for that ride
I’m fine with the fact that it’s apart of the Studio Tour. Kinda feels like it was made for it, which it was. But putting it in Florida and calling it new was just downright horrible.
Disaster! was my first home at Universal before I moved into entertainment at Universal. When I saw that THIS is what they replaced it with...…….I threw up a little. Disaster! was by no means perfect, but at least it wasn't....this.
Why not do the Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue! One of my favorite things to go see at Universal Florida. Cant believe it was shut down for some clusterf*ck of a ride
CausticCosmonaut Yeah! I want the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue show to return to the Universal Orlando Resort as part of the Universal’s Epic Universe theme park!
Imagine if they made a ride similar to potter using the kuka arms . A ride with that kind of movement , screens and practical sets for fast and furious would’ve been amazing
I rode this ride last year for the first time and literally my first thought afterwards was “why didn’t they just do a test track ripoff instead of this virtual garbage?” It’s the worst ride I’ve ever ridden. Period. Also, a video on Superstar Limo would sick
This ride should have been a hybrid of Test Track and a screen ride. Make the ride have multiple turns throughout the enclosed space to make it feel like you're racing through LA. The screens could add to the immersion as scenes from the actual ride play out around you as you actually move. Hell, the ride inside the space wouldn't even have to move fast since the screens help with the illusion that you're moving quickly, just adding some forward motion always makes screen rides more immersive. Have the ride play out just like it does now except change the beginning to something like you wanting to join the crew and they want to see what you can do, but before you are able to, the FBI are there and you have to escape and have a more intense ending, like suddenly you're shot outside like how Test Track does, hits a high speed and then when you return in, the crew informs you that you everyone got away and that you can ride with them anytime you want. Would make a hell of a lot better ride.
I agree with every feedback you gave, I was also laughing so hard I was crying. If they wanted fast & furious then they should have done it lights motor action stunt show. Because seeing the car go through a billboard to open the attraction was cool. Definitely NOT worth tearing down my beloved beetlejuice's graveyard review. And I liked the original earthquake ride depending on were you sat on the tram it was always a different perspective. I don't care if it was out dated
