WDW News, Tom. The hotel design's come from a time when Disney, Michael Eisner, Imagineers were working with some of the best architects from around the world. Some of their design's won architect awards for Disney. Time magazine of the day praised Disney as a leader in modern archtecture. The Disneyland Hotel was refered to as the " Palace of Delights" Yes the hotels were to sufer from bleak times. Every time it felt like they just got going again something would happen to knock them sideway's. But since "covid" and the way attendance is going the park really needs another new hotel.
