You guys should absolutely watch The Thing! It's so good! Anyway loved the video, i remember playing the thing when i was a kid, it was pretty fun. Im definitely going to he checking this out when it's released.
I hope they fix some of the glaring issues with it, i remember one big complaint was the infection system was so stupid....it was good in theory, but some people transform at certain ponts in the story apparently, so you can test them to see if they are the thing, they are fine, then literally seconds later BAM they are the thing.
Nightdive Studios has been doing a great job remastering and updating these legacy games, Turok and Star Wars Dark Forces being their more recent releases that I can think of. (which were updated versions and not total remasters like The Thing.) Seeds of Evil was my favorite of the series and I'm so happy that I'm able to play it again after all these years. Im crossing my fingers and hoping they'll remaster Shadows of the Empire or even the Rogue Squadron games.
"And then, that episode of X-Files." Hell yeah, Ice, probably the second scariest episode ever. I give first to Darkness Falls. Season one was so goated.
I remember playing this on PS2! I had always hoped they would come out with a modern version since I really liked the morale mechanic, as janky as it was.
I feel like, because the game comes out pretty soon, they may just avoid any future trailers. They did the same thing with Bad Batch season 3 and it resulted in one of my favorite reactions, that no other reactors had because they already knew a certain character was going to appear based on the trailers.
@@melodydiagames I get that but this new gameplay didn’t give away much of anything. I think it would just be a fun watch. But if not it’s ok. I get it.
Unfortunately this is one of the rare videogames that actually needed a Remake/Reboot not a remastered, it was a shooter, it had way too many flaws and it was completely scripted.
Played the original on Xbox years ago. Controls were janky, but I was able to play it. Everything else was cool. The atmosphere, how well it tied to the movie, the voice acting, and while maybe not perfect, the trust/fear system was pretty cool. Overall, if you can get past the jank controls, you could enjoy this game. Seeing the announcement of a remastered, made me geeked out. And it's coming to GOG, which is cool. They promised some improvements, so I hope new players can check it out.
It doesn’t need a remaster, it needs a complete remake imo. A complete reboot, the original game was groundbreaking at the time and never had the same mechanics in a game since as far as I’m aware. The fear/trust system was absolutely crazy.
