CG, in the beggining is worth trying to keep your pieces alive, mainly for access to kill lines later on. So you should have moved that 3 from the Ryuku islands to your other 3 in order to make a stronger position in the south.
Yeah, but CG said that he doesn't want to make it easy for Magenta. Why let someone get their bonus when those troops are going to be pretty much useless anyway? Better to potentially cost them troops and make it easier for others to pressure them.
Probably wont see this but i bet you they were getting rid of pinks 2 stack next to blues bonus so they could have an easyer time killing them (in response to what you said at around 17:25)
yeah that was a pretty big missplay from cg. Magenta kill was almost free and gives 4 cards while also trading him in again. Pretty sure he cold have sweeped up the entire board afterwards.
It was killing me the whole time watching that... He was locked down so hard on blue and keeping bonuses. It wouldn't have been hard to watch but CG makes sure and mentions not to do that when playing progressive in a lot of his videos.@@bestari5555

it's valid point but he would have 2v1 and facing 2 cards trade agnist him latter also he might lost game because red player might have taken blue instead so it mess up the bonuses he would hold because it would be harder to protect bother if red and blue swapped places they could try to card block purple but that's logic of advanced expert

You gotta work on your tunnel vision, Magenta was a free kill with your trade at 25:20 and you would even have traded in from it, enableing you to take out the board.
you correct but than he would lose all the troops that he puted there because of red dominating bottom side also magneta player keeps red playing busy and in cheek so red player have one 1 bonus and has to burn way more troops usually you don't want to kill players when they fight each other just fokus on other person in 4 player scenario as you could see red player also got tunnel vision and didn't care about blue getting mashed and purple getting out of control quickly

Just an expert player here but I would have killed the Magenta player just after blue botted out. Forced 30 troop card trade if you get the kill and secure a 2 point hold on a +18 bonus
