Virgin Mary's shrine was built on top of Mount Agtalin. That's why it's called Agtalin Shrine near Brgy. Dulangan where I was born and raised. It was built in 1991 and it was in July 21, 1993 when finally, the beautiful 85-feet statue was blessed by Bishop Onesimo Gordoncillo of Capiz, and then Parish Priest of Dulangan, Rev. Fr. Domingo Deocampo. The Statue considered the highest Marian Statue in Asia, has found a beautiful place in the province of Capiz.Thousands of devotees attend mass here every first Saturday of the month. Thank you very much sir for featuring in Agtalin shrine and showcasing our beautiful country to your vlog and ti the world. More power your channel. God speed.
comeback on 2nd week to 3rd of January for Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo city or visit Bacolod next month October for Maskara Festival and visit Campuestuhan and Mambukal that has hot spring. You will like it
@@littlesenorita1488 The entire city is a slum lmao 🤣 The street wires hanging everywhere, the stray dogs, the low cc third world vehicles (jeepneys and tricycles), the trash everywhere. Slum in world standards.
I’ve been following this vlog lately and I now am resolved to keep following it. Mergim, you caught me with “I’ve got to pay my respects to Mama Mary.” Not many foreign vloggers mention anything about our faith and beliefs, I presume for fear of offending other watchers who don’t share ours. Thanks for coming up with interesting vlogs. For someone who lives abroad, these make me connect with my country of birth, regardless of distance.
It's unfortunate because there's not a lot of latest information available online, whether a certain island or tourist spot is closed or not. 9:43 But damn, this view of the sunset is stunning. 👍
Your diligence and optimism are inspiring. Best decision to put it off for a better time. Intelligent traveller u are. You are enjoying still. Kudos! Stay safe.
Great discoveries on a random trip, man. Seems like a lifetime ago since i visited Gigantes Island and still looks so pristine. Safe and fun travels, Mergim.
According to the locals who served as our tour guide, this resort is or was owned by Bermejo Family. The plan was to build this place as a resort, with a restaurant on the top and an infinity pool below facing the sea. However, due to Super Typhoon Yolanda, they stopped the construction and later abandoned the plans.
Really good vlogs always. I have turned on notification bell so I always get your video and I don’t skip ads. By the way, I read somewhere that you should use hashtags so your videos will appear when people search for something related to your vlogs. #Mergimvlogs #Philippines
This is the sort of vblogs I prefer Mergim, like your vblogs. Discovering random new nice places that not many tourists know existed. That high refuge is beautiful at the top especially when you like watching the sunset and the ocean below. Hopefully the city government could develop that area better and add safety. Someone could easily fall off sitting at the edge. So scary.
Sta. Monica church has the biggest church bell in Asia! They also have a museum which holds church relics of the past. It is the town of Pan-ay one of the oldest towns in the Philippines!
After Kalibo , try going to Bacolod, don’t miss the big event, the Masskara Festival, it’s very, very popular and so many celebrities, and the best Chicken Inasal or their Manokan country, and then after the festival go down to the mountains Iof Don Salvador. After Don Salvador go straight to San Carlos and Dumaguete. So many beautiful beaches in Negris Occidental, especially in Sipalay.
If you want a white sand beach go to Aklan,Kalibo,Guimaras …Iloilo has white beaches like Sicogon Island and Concepcion island but you need to do island hopping.Antique is more of nature and outdoor activities. Roxas Capiz is seafood area and beaches. Panay island are like brother and sisters and its connected to each other.
Noong late 70's pa yan kasabay ng Puerto Galera, Sicogon, Gamay and Dako of Gigantes group of islands, Calauit of Northern Palawan, Boracay was just starting to be a by word here in the tourist belt of Manila, no electricity yet on the island☺
Yes. You are right. In the late ‘70s Isla De Gigantes was starting to be developed. My parents had fishing boat. It’s route was Sicogon and Gigantes and going to Iloilo City sea area. I was in secondary school.
A very interesting video episode of your Panay island travel stops. Thank you for showing us places in the Philippines that you have ventured. Be well and stay safe. 😊
Oh!! I suggest you stay overnight at Se San beach resort at Sitio, Barosbos, Asluman, North Gigantes Island when you're coming back... & look for a lady caretaker....lots of ancient story behind the mountain of the resort. It's nice to experience island overnight & could maximize the time in every island you're going to hop in for the whole day. I suggest you have to leave the main island early & the sea water is still calm that you could enjoy hopping from island to island coz if you leave the island late the sea water might be rough & have big waves. Same as when going back to main island. Try eating cheaper scallops at sandbar restaurant. Oh!! Try to bring medicine just in case. Prepare to bring Bonamine for sea sickness when the sea is rough. Immodium/Diatabs for stomach upset.
How unfortunate it is. Hehe. I haven't seen Gigantes Islands yet. I thought I could also get a glimpse with you there, Mergim. Haha. Well better luck next time Gigantes. 👐🙏👐🙏 At least Mergim is optimistic enough not to waste his time, effort, and gas for nothing. This is called exploration and adventure. Thanks to improvised and impromptu trips. Hehehe
But that would mean you have made the whole loop of Panay plus Guimaras. I cant recall if you have been to Bacolod. Maskara Festival next month. That would complete Western Visayas Region 6 for you.
Hi! Thank you for bringing us to a calm n relaxing sites in Carles; the view of Mama Mary ( Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal) standing tall overlooking the vast...lush...verdant green green fields....the soft rippled ocean seas....the stunning sturdy (walled -like) "ruins of Albatros". Wow, you always give the best shots. Thank you. God bless
I beg to differ….. you can control the mass in your momentum equation. Just go to church before your journey and attend mass😂😂😂 and then with any luck, you’ll see Mother Mary🙏🏼
Sir / kuya mergim or whatever I can call you I hope you can read this and can do and this is a request also !!! , can you vlog what you really think or experience for us my nationality is Filipino born and raised , do you think 100% Filipino or us are disrespectful or rude or not at all or it's maybe 50/50 or depends who's your encounter too , please I hope you can do this vlog
At dumikit at nag overlap o hang over pa mga pati public park..sumaryosep porbida!
I'm so ashamed for those kids in that place who are asking for money like beggars. Very undisciplined by their parents. Nakakahiya sila sa mga tourists.
