Sermon Notes Transformation Church Pastor Mike Todd Series: Cuffing Season Title: The things you love that don’t love you back! Scriptures: Romans 12:2; Judges 13:4; Judges 16:4-22; 1 Corinthians 17:23; 1. All relationships are about patterns before they are about people. To change we must change the paradigm of how we think and renew our mind. We will have the same relationships wherever we go because we keep the same patterns. 2. Your mind is renewed by god’s principles. God’s principles come with parameters (boundaries, lines, limitations). Parameters are meant for protection. When we step outside of those we step outside of God’s protection to uncharted territory that conforms us to fight the battles of the world. We change our patterns by listening to god’s principles and set parameters that allows us to reach our PURPOSE. 3. Cuffing is all about control. You can never be cuffed and in control. You cannot be cuffed to success and still be in control of the pace. 4. The story of Samson (Judges 13:4). Samson parents could not have children and god gave them parameters which their son would have to follow in order for them to be able to have a child. Samson struggled with abiding by the parameters god had set for his life. Obedience is never about outcome but about honoring God. The best version of ourselves is the one that is disciplined and has parameters. There is power in parameters. 5. Story of Samson and Delilah (Judges 16:4-22). Samson loved something that did not love him back. He willingly provided what it would take to contain, constrain and restrict him from his calling in order to be cuffed. He loved something (Delilah) that did not have the capacity to live him back. 6. You never pick right when you pick from your pain. Pain is proof that you’re alive and that god has a plan for you. We have to deal with the pain. We often force ourselves to live with the pain instead of taking the time to deal with the root issue. Untreated pain slowly spreads and starts to affect other areas. 7. Cuffing only happens with connection and communication. This deepens the cuff and makes it harder for us to walk in our purpose. 8. Comfort ignores caution and leads to compromise. Arrogance comes with anointing, but allows us to entertain threats/calling/purpose on our lives. We give people keys to our downfall because they have been wearing us down. 9. Consistent toxic connections lead to the cutting of your calling. Those connections overwhelms us so much that it worries us to DEATH. The lap you lay in can limit your life and determines your legacy. Wherever you lay has the ability to desensitize you. Cuffing robs you of communion. God/Christ paid the ultimate price so that we don’t have to be cuffed and so that we can be free.

I was watching the live earlier, and you mentioned praying for those with abnormal menstrual cycles and I instantly got teary eyed. I’m struggling with this and recently got diagnosed with something that could effect my fertility. I’m waiting on my follow up to see. So it showed me that God sees me. So im thankful💙
I used to be CUFFED to the idea that I needed a “ring” to get married and the idea that “if he loves me enough he will propose”.. instead of saying “is this the man God made for Me” that shook me... im currently single, just got out of a relationship towards the end of last year. After that I felt God telling me “now it’s my turn” I have now started getting closer to God for me and my son and my husband that God has for me. I am getting my son closer to God as well. I’m so excited for this Journey. 🙌🏽
It’s crazy how God works. This sermon was from 7 months ago. I have been watching him for about 2 months and I don’t remember even seeing this lesson. He talks about going to read judges about Samson. Why am I literally already in judges right were they are talking about Samson. I just got on it the day before yesterday. tbh, i was so cuffed to the idea of getting into a romantic relationship. i was cuffed to the idea of 'ignorance is bliss' attitude. i got out of a 1yr relationship that just caused me anxiety, insecurity, cash, etc... it's painful but im glad i got out. i pray i get uncuffed to all the bonds im in.

A few months before this series started, I called off my wedding 2weeks before the day. I had also watched 3 couples in ministry lose their 10 and 20 year marriages. I was so mad at God, I started drinking and cutting up. I was SO hopeless. I came across this "by accident" and started watching every week. I got set free AGAIN from my gross sin, just in time to walk through the death of my baby cousin. I would likely have committed suicide from that loss, if I hadn't been reconnected to Jesus before it happened. I'm a California native, born and raised at Bethel Church looking at houses in Tulsa now 😂 I won't go unless Holy Spirit releases me to go. I know better than to make a big move like that unless He sends me, but I want to go so bad! Thank you Jesus for Transformation Church!

This message was spot on for the season I'm in. As a child I dealt with molestation and at the age of 16 I was beaten and raped. I suppressed and basically put a band-aid over many emotions and feelings until recently and my life spiraled out of control not dealing with the pain but to God be the glory. I repented from witchcraft 4 years ago, thank you father ! I had a dream of the Lord before I believed and he said, “if you go there I can’t protect you”. That’s not Bible, that’s a true testimony. Im so thankful I’m not cuffed and bound anymore !

When I realize the issues and problems I had weren’t the full force and it was still too much for me to handle. That’s…mercy. It’s great to be on this side of my new life because I was so sure I wasn’t gonna make it out of the old one. If you’re interested, I had a tarot reading RU-vid channel that I converted into my testimony platform. So I have a couple videos on there talking about my story and getting saved. I’m trying to make the time to add more to the channel but we’ll see. Lol. I’m still learning to be uncomfortable and get on camera with my story. 😅

They are very much set on having their own truth and it simply doesn’t work that way. There are spiritual principles that are the same in Christianity as in witchcraft but they don’t want to accept that God is God. They want to be their own or have others. So it’s hard to convince people who are already convinced they know. I guess I’m lucky because my job isn’t to convince, but to simply speak and allow the HS to convict them. This really just inspires me to get back into making videos. Lol. Thank you!

This excite me because in few hours back I was going through backups on my phone and I find myself in old conversations. Immediately it hit me that I'm no longer over thinking, I'm no longer have to worry about a guy not texting me or ghosting me because I'm not interested in dating anymore God give me what I need unconditional love and I'll no longer go through that again because the next person that's going to be in my life is my husband who know who God is. I cried so much thanking him that I'm FREE. It may not make sense at first, transformation is not easy but when you keep on surrendering yourself to God trust me you'll wake up one day feeling better and you'll see his footsteps everywhere. Keep going even if you trolling God sees it and you'll be free and I'll forever grateful my life will never be the same again. I know who I am and I know whos I am🙌🏾🙏🏽❤

I have been cuffed to anxiety because of an addiction to cigarettes. It has been the absolute hardest battle I have fought thus far. I need to be released from and surrender to healing. Lord I need help from people of prayer because this has been so hard to do by myself. I will read and pray and consciously choose to go the other way but I need strength like never before because I hear the warning of God. I have 5 children and I want to survive. This sermon made me realize how I made a bad decision by getting into a relationship with someone who I knew was not good for me because of desperation and loneliness. My decision to commit was driven by fear and pain. I now know what to do 🙌🏼

I'm with both of you. 4 years ago I was talking to a guy and before I stepped into that relationship completely. I asked God if he was for me. And just said if he is not remive him from me. I kid you not the next day that he told me he wanted to be with someone else. And j said oh no I really like uiu and blah blah blah. Like why did I do that. So 4 years God said now you gone learn. 4 years of feeling like I'm not good enough. And they was a man of good. Only gave him praise every once in a blue moon when things went good for once. Never leveled up in that relationship always with the same saying excuses, etc. Always wanted me to do things for them and not do for me. Always wanted me to do what they love and not the same in return. I never knew how they felt about me or their views on certain situations. Never had answers to anything. It was always I'm nagging and talking to much or being too sensitive. I never could be myself. I never could do anything right. Buy 4 years later and I'm fully tired and fed up. I haven't left yet but it's coming.

same here and to make matters worse am even pregnant bt no job, can't afford rent, food and other stuff on my own,so I feel stuck in it coz of that. He's paying rent and other utilities bt he has already moved on with someone his family chose for him in just 6month and left me in the rented apartment pregnant after 9yrs and of the relationship. We were to get married in 2020 that's when the family got in,bt he kept promising how he was not going to allow to marry someone else bt asked me to wait for some time for he didn't want his mother to get upset since she raised them as a single mother since he was 4yrs and he was the 2nd last of 5 boys no girl. And I was like okay since he was always supportive, respectful to me, friends and to my family. So it was in the process of waiting that we found out I was pregnant since we were already staying together. Now am stuck.
Cuff yourself to God… he is the ultimate provider, healer, and will restore all that is broken… only if you step out on faith… God will catch you. The choice is yours!

My God. This helped I cried because I almost died 3xs behind cuffing. Literally took a bullet to my back close range and flat lined 6xs with broken ribs and God saved me although I stepped out of the parameters, not even a full six months with my ribs still healing was in a bad accident that could have killed me where now my other side of my ribs hurt for some time now, so I have double the pain because I stepped out of the parameters. I didn’t understand this fully until now 😔💕💕💕🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you for allowing God to use you to deliver us his messages with true understanding. The Bible is so metaphoric and we sometimes need people to clear the message up for us. "We are constantly cuffed to things that don't love us back!" We take this lightly, we are always trapped into thinking that we have "healed" from it and that we have "moved past" it, but yet it is the things that are drawing us back. We are cuffed to that relationship thinking that maybe things will change, we are cuffed to fear, fear that only takes us 10 steps back after you took a huge step forward into making things possible for yourself. Just like Samson, we have taken it lightly! We think that 'No man, this ('this' being someone or something) is meant for me but instead all that "this" thing does is bring you to your weakest point! Pastor Todd raised a point saying that "The problem is we like to COPE with the pain and not DEAL with the pain" Where has it gotten us? All that it does is bring more pain where there isn't supposed to be any pain. We become weak! Just like Samson, we fall to our knees because we think we know what is best for us! Just like Samson we become blinded by love! Love that we don't even understand! But that's the problem when we THINK we know things or we THINK we know how to deal with pain! The process of "I THOUGHT" I knew what was best for me, will not get you anywhere.

As a man with locs this message was so powerful to me especially after having been through a season where I was in a situation with a Delilah. I literally ignored so many signs of her toxic behaviors and my life slowly deteriorated to the point where I wasn't sure how I was going to make it through. BUT GOD, I cut ties with her and my life turned all the way around. God and Transformation Church helped me ascend from a dark place, rise into the light, and shine bright. I'm at such a blessed and focused place in my life currently. I continue to develop my relationship with Holy Spirit and Father God and to no surprise my growth has been occurring at an accelerated pace. I uncuffed a lot of people, especially so called friends that truly never cared about me in the first place. It was difficult because I loved these people, religion, schools & situations more than life itself. But when I saw it was one sided leaving them all behind was the best thing I could have done for myself.

The single most important message of all prophets to their people was to worship God alone and none else and to follow His teachings. All of them, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Jesus, Muhammad and others, in addition to those we do not know - invited people to worship God and shun false gods. Moses declared:"Hear, O Israel The Lord our God is one Lord."(Deuteronomy 6:4). This was repeated 1500years later by Jesus, when he said: "The first of all the commandments is, ‘Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.’(Mark 12:29) So, the greatest commandment, the most important belief according to Jesus, is that God is one. If Jesus was God he would have said, ‘I am God, worship me.’ Instead, he merely repeated a verse from the Old Testament confirming that God is One. This aligns with the mission of Jesus, as taught in Islam, where Jesus was sent to the Children of Israel to confirm the message of the past Prophets - to believe in the One True God. most Christians nowadays believe in trinity.. Jesus said i came not to destroy the commandments of moses i came just to fulfill. Muslims reject the Christian belief that God is a Trinity, not only because the Quran rejects it, but also because if this was God’s true nature, He would have clearly revealed it to Abraham, Noah, Jesus and all of the other prophets. ISLAM is the submission in worship to Allah Alone and it is the essence of all the Messages sent to all nations before us. Allah is All-Just and All-Wise. He does not intend confusion for His Creation. The religion accepted to Him is the one chosen by Him. Its essence must be One, because He is One. It is free from geographical, racist, and status oriented concepts. It is Perfect and it is the complete way of life. All these qualities are chosen by Allah in His Only Religion: Islam. Its details are in in the Qur’an, read it and come with an open heart because none can expose better than the World of Allah. The Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad. He did not author it. He was unlettered. Its translation is available in many languages in bookstores or in an Islamic Center close to you. Take the time to read it and come/call the Islamic Center, or speak to someone who re-verted and submitted to Allah Alone.
