Wow that’s so kind thank you so much! Yeah looking back I think it was just the overall feeling I had about the day it all felt a bit rushed but I guess I shouldn’t let that take away from the moments I was able to capture! Again thank you! 📸✨
Overall Digital cameras from the early 2000s take better pictures that most modern DSLRs these days which is why I don't use my Canon 80d anymore, I now don't even use my phone to take pictures anymore, it's like if I have my digital camera on me I'll take a picture of what ever it is I'm taking a picture of, if I don't have my digital camera on my and just have my phone on me I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to use my phone to take pictures, I just can't be dealing with taking pictures in the modern way of taking photos by using a smartphone, if its an old early 2000s mobile phone then I wouldn't mind so much tbh id be more happy with taking pictures on an old early 2000s digital camera or old early 2000s phone, its either one of those two or nothing, I just don't do modern it's unappealing to me theres no satisfaction from using a big bulky modern day dslr or in that cass a small modern dslr if that makes sense
I've been going through my old photos, particularly ones sent to me by friends some 15-20 years ago. The amount of photos I have from friends using Sony Cybershot's is crazy. It seems like everyone had one back in the day. Friends from all over the world, all using Cybershots. It made me pick up a DSC-P10 for myself. Looking forward to going shooting with it once the batteries get here.
Yeah they were definitely the most popular and I’d say they still are! This is probably due to the build quality of them I don’t think I’ve come across one with a fault unlike some other brands. Oh amazing I’ve had a few P10s I’ve taken one of my favourite images on a P10 📸✨
@@CameraNostalgiaClub they are built well but they're kinda fragile, depending on the model.. i have both P52 and P72 and they both have issues with the lens cover gear
what I like about having used point and shoots now from then is that back then everyone used them for candid moments which is what they were made for but also now people use them to tell a story connected with their craft which is also what these were made for. Like pro cameras are aimed more towards paid shoots or a certain area but point and shoots are more towards daily life. And to see that people are using these geared toward more professional looking stuff is amazing and really shows the power of these cameras. I currently use a Kodak PixPro FZ152 as my everyday, I call it the poor man's Ricoh
Yeah they really are my way into photography well I’m still learning each day but I wouldn’t have even been on this journey if I had not decided to pick up an old point and shoot also they feel really easy and fun not overwhelming at all so perfect for those candid moments that can then lead to a more professional shot 📸 and nice I’ll have to check that out I haven’t used a Pixpro before 📸✨
@@CameraNostalgiaClub Oh definitely glad you didn't get too overwhelmed or non inspired like some people who I've tried to show my perspective, I started my daughter young having her take photos of me and her mother at places with my old xpro1 and each cam I had after that. Now she's 6 years old and uses the point and shoot outside more than I do haha. That was the goal. Well have fun on your journey with your tech and photography the one I got you can find for as low as $45!
The Sony Cybershots are really nice! I recently thrifted a T1, not as slim as the T7 but the design is otherwise very similar. Didn’t get a chance to try it yet, the charger was missing. I really hope it still works!
Oh nice yeah I’ve used a T1 before slightly chunkier as was couple years older from 2003 I believe! Yeah get that charger I get them from Amazon or EBay 📸✨
Totally forgot about this little guy. I lusted over it as a teen and would often stop by the local shop which had a demo unit to fiddle with it. Still produces very pleasing images, imo. Love the tune you used as well. Will be checking her music out for sure. Cheers.
Yeah especially for automatic mode as well I was happy with the overall look of the images 📸 such a fun camera to use as well I just want it in my pocket at all times now 😂📸 Yeah I’m a big fan of hers really chilled out ✨
Those rainy days nearly always make it across the pond... 🌧️🌧️🌧️ Nice review Max, seems like a camera to always have on you wherever you go. I like the 'little brick' type of digicams a bit more, but hey, that's my personal taste. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
As much as I am looking forward to the summer I will miss the cosy rainy days and yeah your spot on I feel like I want to just have it in my pocket at all times now! But something with a bit of girth does feel good I can’t lie 😂📸✨
Great video Max! What a sweet little camera and the results were great, Enjoyed the candid people shots! I think Casio made a line of ultra thin cameras. Also, Kodak made on called the Slice. Always wonderful content regardless of the weather! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks glad you liked this one! and yeah I’ve had a few Casio requests recently I’m going to see what I can get my hands on 📸 interesting I’ve never seen that Kodak Slice before I like the look of it 🤩
Great video as always Max, nothing wrong with the shots you took either! Love a good cyber shot, I'm rarely without my T300, makes a great back up and takes some fantastic nostalgic looking shots! Keep up the great work mate, always a pleasure to see your videos pop up
Ahh thank you mate really appreciate that! Yeah I can see this going in my pocket more often now a really fun camera 📸✨ thanks for stopping by and supporting means a lot to me 📸🤝
@@CameraNostalgiaClub no thanks needed mate! I recommend taking it out as much as you can, nice and easy point and shoot with great shots (almost) every time! A couple of back up batteries will only set you back about £15 on Amazon too ;)
Fabulous!! Your photo progression over the last few vids has been lovely to watch. Great catches - love the ubiquitous retro white ford, if only it was a cosworth. I want this camera now. My Fuji f410 sensor has just died and I am gutted cos it's the cutest thing with the ultimate Japanese beeps. The cat outside the house and then up the pole are particular faves! 🙌👏👏🙌
Thank you so much I’m learning as I go and with each photo I take 📸 also love a cosworth 👌 Yeah it’s a cool little camera I’d recommend it! and I’m actually using a Fujifilm for the next video 👀
@@CameraNostalgiaClub oooh I still have my fujifilm 4800 Porsche but the battery needs replacing. I was bound to Fuji as a kid then Sony got my fist big canon and back to Sony, wish I never passed them down to my sis who almost destroyed them! I have all the boxes with no camera!! They are somewhere I am sure! Great stuff! 👏 look forward to the next one.
Reminds me of an earlier video of a Sony with a sliding door front, must be an early model. Keep up the great work! There's the cult of Canon PowerShot Digital Elph SD1000. The thing produces great colours, sharp for a 7.1mp, 2.8 lens and super compact. My In-Laws had one laying around and I've been using it since. It's my favourite compact digital.
Yeah I believe that would most likely be from the “T” series also! And I’ve been meaning to use a Canon for some time now so I’ll keep my eye out for an SD1000 👀📸🤝
“The cult of Canon SD1000” made me chuckle, knowing how overhyped the camera is (and all those “aesthetic” tiktok girls buying them), i’m glad to see people take interest in rarer models, like the T7
Hey thank you so much for stopping by yeah I really fell out of love with that platform but it has allowed me to create longer and more meaningful videos here. I’m glad you liked the video thank you so much 📸✨
Really want to get one of these slim cameras at some point. I remember seeing them a lot in the Argos catalogue but my parents only ever had the bigger ones, I guess because they have better lenses.
I expected worse IQ considering age, size and price once. Im looking always for small Point and Shoots, but thats probably too small. Either a 3x optical with 1.8-2.8 zoom lens or somethinglike 5-10x optical yet tiny and light. I really enjoy my Sony DSC-P100 (2004, as vitrine item, my first ever camera, but it still works), the P200 (7.2 MP CCD, 3x) and the „newer“ W830 with 20 MP CCD and 8x optical, but 3.3-6.5 aperture or so and smaller sensor. If the P200 would just exist with a magnesium alloy case as the P100, i would prefer it over the W830.
Honestly it’s really small I thought I had lost the thing at times 🤣 have you looked at the Sony Cybershot DSC-W50/55 they might be right up your street a more boxy body then the P range tho 📸✨
@@CameraNostalgiaClub I dont see any distict advantages on a W55 compared to lets say my W830, not even the P200 Where the W55 sounds interesting, macro and optical zoom for its size, but then i would still think my W830 make superior images. I bought the W830 with dirty sensor and some scratches for cheap. I only bought it to restore and sell, instead i fell in love with it and kept it^^
It's probably been asked tonnes of times but what editing software do you use and how do you handle all your files for it all? I have a backlog of years worth of photos and videos stored on my onedrive/lightroom I've wanted to use but not found a good way of going about it? Massively appreciate your videos!
Hey I just use lightroom to crop the images as I shoot in automatic mode with the old digicams as I use so many in short periods of time. I have stored all of my work into the iCloud I also have google photos for my more personal stuff but I am going to store all of my work onto a tangible hard drive soon so that way I have a back up plan and two places in case the cloud goes down 📸🤝
I’d love to use this camera for vacation but I’m not sure how to transfer photos to my phone? Do you know what I should buy? Or if Amazon has anything ?😅
