the world can be confident that China will never be first to order a nuclear strike, but we can't be sure of that, with the USA...having used it twice already... if only the US doesn't provoke, antagonize or create enemies of China, peace will be had by all.
@zambani

31:56 I never understand when some people talk about China destroying the balance of power because of it's growing strength. Yet these same people don't talk about the current imbalance and unchecked power of the US. It's as if the scale of balanced power was calibrated after the US stepped on it but before anyone else did.

American foreign policy has been fueled not by a devotion to any kind of morality, nor even simple decency. The aim is to extend political, economic and military hegemony over as much of the globe as possible, to prevent the rise of any regional power that might challenge American supremacy, and to create a world order in America's image, as befits the world's only superpower. William Blum, Rogue Nation The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence, clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. H.L. Mencken, 1920 War is a Racket… Smedley Butler

Another aspect of this lunacy are the cost involved for something nobody wishes to use and only to use as a deterrent, like in 'mutually assured destruction' (MAD). Considering that humanity is facing serious climate challenges that are potentially existential, that money would be better spend on mitigating the destruction we are causing in the environment and the climate.

China announced early this summer it plans to build another 43 Coal Fired power plants, and 18 new blast furnaces. With an annual increase in CO2 equal to half of the United Kingdom's total current annual output. What does China know that most of the West doesn't ? That CO2 warming is prairie fertilizer.

@@boxwoodgreen their CO2 emissions are still half of the US per capita.
@boxwoodgreen
@boxwoodgreen 3 года назад
@@danwelterweight4137 The point is no-one should care about CO2 emissions. Earth's CO2 level dropped incrementally more in each past glaciation cycle. It fell to 180ppm at the last glacial maximum (20KYA). Just 30 ppm about the "death zone" for plants. Like a human climbing past 8K meters on Everest. CO2 is the base of the food chain for all life on earth. CO2 is plant food. There are already signs of "greening" from the additional CO2 humans have added since the Little Ice Age. Life would be better, a garden at 1000-1200ppm CO2. Yes, three times today's level. Yes, we need to heavily restrict real toxins, real pollution. But since we are 2000 years + past the average time Inter-glacial warm periods last, we need to prepare for the next era which will be COLD. In the last 2.5 million years of the Quaternary Ice Age we are still in, on average only one of every 12 days is warm. The other eleven have seen 70% of North America under 1-3 kilometers of ice, 10% more under permafrost, and the southermost 20% remainder under a climate more like current Edmonton than Houston.

In the war games General Wilkerson spoke of, why did they end in nuclear war and not stalemate. Which party carried out a nuclear first strike? Why was the mutually assured destruction principle (MAD) assumed not to be effective anymore? It's worked very well in the past.
@jefftheriault5522
@jefftheriault5522 3 года назад
These kinds of wargames are supposed to explore how a conflict might develop, not how it might be stopped short of war. The problem revolves around how the U.S. keeps it's carrier battle groups alive. That usually means nuclear tipped AA missiles against swarms of aircraft, or nuclear depth charges against enemy submarines detected approaching the CBG. Without that taking place early on, the CBG either is destroyed or so badly damaged it has to retreat.

The thought to unleash Japan is quite scary: - Japan has the ambition and capability to arm itself to teeth with nuclear weapons within very short term. The can become extremely unpredictable, since the political elites are filled with grandchildren of war criminals such as Shizo Abe and the current minister of defence. - When the US would lose control over Japan, there is no guarantee that the latter would forget the only two nuclear strikes in the human history and would dream to have the US to taste its own medicine. - The danger with China, on the other hand is that there can simply be no scenario that China would relieve the destruction and suffering of the Japanese invasion and occupation. When the US would put up Japanese to fight a proxy war with China, there would be no limit for China to avoid any defeat that would lead to another Japanese invasion. One can guess what kind of war it would be…

Let's not forget the reliance on very sophisticated and complex electronics that are so prevalent, aka, high tech. The EMP from each nuclear blast would wipe that all out within a given range, (not much is fortified against that) immediately. What a brilliant interview, you have just earned yourself another subscriber, I always thought the yanks were crazy but believe me, I didn’t think that they were this crazy. Nuclear mines ffs, with what Col Wilkerson has said, it’s blatantly obvious that America can’t avoid a war with China if America defends Taiwan,, and its blatantly obvious that most of the people in the Pentagon doesn’t give a fuck about that either, you have to respect Col Wilkerson for giving us the truth, like I said I had absolutely no idea that they were this crazy but how wrong was I.

Incredible interview...what a tragedy to have the destiny of humanity in hands of military and politician "specialist"without any humanistic conception of the reality... enclosed in the present and specific circumstance of the conflict and no more than that....so insane as Hitler was in his time....no difference....what about the future ? the people the planet?...everything appear secondary for the people that have so much power? ..this is the system we live in...

Talk about reducing nuclear weapons down from 4000 to 300, and over 10 times reduction, is destabilizing and could create more opportunity for one power to think it could plan to disarm or beat another. That is total folly.

when exactly were we going to "defend" Taiwan after almost getting our ass kicked in Korea.. ( oh- and Vietnam ???) Also how do we get involved in a "war" with China when so much of our, and the worlds, manufacturing capacity is in China- without starting a world wide economic depression regardless of what happens with nuclear weapons..??? Nice to see someone actually mention Japan for a change of pace though....

When China recently threatened Japan with a nuclear first strike if it 'interfered' in the Taiwan situation, I asked myself: will the US embark on all out nuclear war with China on behalf of Japan? And my immediate answer was, no. What's more, China knows this. I realised right then that if we want to contain China, Japan must, as the General here outs it, be unleashed. She needs an independent nuclear deterrent as soon as possible, and if I were Japanese I'd want one. I'm British, and we do have our own independent nuclear deterrent, which means we're not absolutely dependent on the US. That's a very reassuring thing to know for us.

I was going to listen to your video but when you showed news reports about nuclear silos in China which clearly says YUMEN GANSU WINDFARM then I'm no longer interested anymore. This story has already been debunked countless times on Twitter and a simple Google Maps examination proves exactly that. It's a windfarm. There were even British nationals that went to Gansu province to report on China's clean energy infrastructure in that region. But I changed my mind and I'll continue listening and point out other issues I see if I find anymore.

Only desperate American WARMONGERS would even contemplate such a question! Nah, we are good over here in China! We are working very hard for a moderately prosperous future for China and the Chinese people. Why would we spend a Great Wall of money, a millennium of hours and oceans of sweat with a splash of blood and tears thrown in for good measures to build Brand new State of the Arts 21st Century Mega Metropolis, The World's most advanced infrastructures, The World's largest advanced manufacturing facilities and processes and The World's most advanced and longest High Speed Rail lines if we were planning to go to WAR just to sooth our egos and pride? However, do not confused yourselves with our attitude of avoiding any kind of wars(especially nuclear) or conflicts by whatever means or costs when possible with the notions that we are weak and and scared of the US cos it will be the last of the thousands of reckless, inconsiderate, selfish and just plain arrogant but avoidable mistakes that you have made over the years at the expense of millions of innocent lives. It is not a threat but a clear statement of China's intent and warning to the US and everyone else.

I would love to hear the Colonels opinion about the recent (last year) theft of radio equipment from the Russian Doomsday plane. Is airborne command and control really the best strategy? Given the fact that Colin Powell number 4 in the line of succession did experience communications jamming on 911. The whole presidential line of succession had "communications problems" that day. The Pentagon was hit was no warning. etc

@TheTalkWatcher

@@jackmeoff7456 Get off it Jack, Why play with Dick Cheney's cover that he knew? 10 September 2001 Russia begins nuclear exercises. Putin is sitting in the catbird seat with his finger on the button. 11 September 2001 The strike on the NAVY OPERATIONS CENTER & DIA Office was a Russian retaliatory strike avenging the sinking of the Kursk by the USS Memphis and the USS Toledo. 911 more generally was the response to the US sponsored proxy war in the Caucasus Region. The US was trying to break the region off from Russia. The Russians made it clear in late 1999 that they were going to nuke the US AGAIN. (OKC-95 & WTC-93 were also "red mercury" strikes. ) They made it clear they were going to nuke us over Chechnya. 911 was the opening rounds of what could have led to a much more extensive nuclear exchange. Say what you will about GW Bush. He made the right decision that day by not going to nuclear war.

@UCwZ81Kn9SmAaOkmB5_By4Bw there is no possible way an airliner made such a small hole in the Pentagon, but it's just the right size for a missle. I saw the aftermath on TV, there was no large debris field typical of plane crashes, same with Shanksville. Also, the Pentagon has cameras all around it but all that is released to the public are 5 grainy frames from them and they show what looks like a small missle, not a large aircraft.
@TheTalkWatcher
@TheTalkWatcher 3 года назад
