Despite the differences between the superpowers, they united to fight their common enemy the Nazis. Once victory seemed possible they needed to decide what would happen next. Between 1943 and 1945 the members of the ‘grand alliance’ met 3 times to decide what the post war world would look like. This video takes a look at the three conferences, the decision made and the heightening conflict between the USSR and the USA.
This video covers the Edexcel GCSE History syllabus for Superpower Relations and the Cold War 1941-91. It will be useful no matter which exam board you are studying though.
