I’m 77 years old and the Three Degrees along with ALL MOTOWN GROUPS MADE THE 60s-70s-80s-90s music to DANCE TO & remember for ALL TIME. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE GIVEN US.
I am 72 years old now. Disabled Vietnam veteran in Austin Texas. When I came back from in 1974. This is the first song I heard on a transistor radio as I rode the bus from San Diego California to Austin Texas.
Christ PROMISES that ANYONE who places their total belief/faith/trust in His death, burial and resurrection HAS eternal life. EVERYONE who has done that will be there waiting for you :)
Well folks, back in the day, we had classy acts, beautiful songstresses with meaningful lyrics and melodies. The 3 Degrees are a prime example of this art form. At 71, I am happy I was able to witness it all, and now miss it everyday. In those days, I just thought music like this would continue forever and ever.... I was wrong, but I have my memories and they will last forever in me.
I found some circa 1973 speakers in the wooden box at a thrift store yesterday. I can’t wait to hook them up to my record player. The sound is so much richer! Especially with my taste in “oldies” music:)
At 66 years old, today in 2022, I am happy to have lived through the days when this beautiful music was just as new as wonderful. I have seen the best times, and my memories are so precious.
This is real talent and real music unlike today's music, if you can call it that. I would give anything to go back to those days. No computer's, no cell phones, no lgbtq crap and no one thinking that they were meant to be the other gender or be a we, they it! We were normal people living normal lives!
Well, one thing, all these "good times" were created by the same people, the social engineers... All of these were the stepping stones to the future... Which is NOW !!! 🤔🤔🤔
Way too many happy memories. I long for their return - in my dreams. 1974. Pure teenage bliss. I am 62 years old and LOVIN’ IT! Lost a few mates along the way.
Igualmente !
I'm 61 and this should still be a #1 today (2024). It's far better than most of the garbage we are hearing now. I think it's because a lot of today's music is coming from backyard musicians who rely solely on electronic production rather than raw talent like in this video.
The 70s music will put you on another planet that no one will understand unless you have a love of the 70s music. You don't need drugs or alcohol to appreciate the best music ever. God....take me back to the 70s and leave me there....I'll be just fine.
The summer of 74. A great year. I graduated from high school and was lucky enough to listen to music like this on the radio. I thought it would last forever. This was music I called "Panama City Music". Thats where we all hung out that summer after graduation. Great times long gone now. But the memories will always survive
@@rosswinder9898 Technically, I should have graduated in 1974, however I had a teacher in the third grade that hated me, and I hated her to. We just simply didn't get along, and I begged my parents to have me moved to another class, another teacher, however they wouldn't do it, I had to fail 3rd grade. I called her ever since that time Mrs. SinaBITCH because she was nothing but a BITCH to me, I HATED HER!
So do I, it was a time of High School for me in the Midwest, mid 70s. No worries for me at the time except getting to the next grade at school. This song was there when I did homework.
My darling husband of almost 50 years was playing this song on his tape deck in his 1970 ‘Cuda on the night we met, and when he dropped me off at my dorm at OSU at the end of our first date, he said “when will I see you again?” We have been together ever since, and this tape cassette will be inurned with us after we both pass. Life is, has been, and always will be, wonderful.
The original members were Valarie, freddi, & Sheila, I did a studio session with them back in 1975 in New York city , very nice woman & Extra beautiful in person.
65 here. I can remember listening to this beautiful harmony and loving it. I really had it in me bad. I hoped and prayed there would be someday a girl would sing this to me. I was not what you would call popular. Just lonely, very lonely. So grateful to have these beautiful voices and this extraordinary music still today to remember.
Saying prayers for you, Georgia that it will get easier for you. I lost my veteran soul mate 3 years ago, and we ALL miss him every single day. I believe that The Lord Jesus uses time to heal and that you will indeed see him again at a later time. Keep God, your loved ones, and music close to your heart. May God bless you, Brenda
The first song I heard after coming back from Vietnam in 1974. What a beautiful moment in time. I am now 71 years old. Disabled Vietnam veteran. USS Jouett DLG 29. Tonkin Gulf north and south Viet Nam. 1972-74
I'm 30 years old from Auckland new Zealand and was raised by my grandparents. I'm do thankful they brought me up with all these old school sounds🙌🙌 I'm an old soul at heart I think 😂.
I'm 64, and feel just the same about so much music from the past... basically, the latter 20th century right lol?! Have yet to hear anything more than a one-hit-wonder in the 21st century!
I was a teenager at a refugee camp. This song was played every time on the PA system when people were leaving for a permanent country. So much memories, so many tears.
Wow, simply spectacular vocals…so grateful for these performances and never to be heard nor seen ever again in this lifetime! Thank you Three Degrees for this stunning classic!
This was husband's and my favorite song we met in 1974 and married 4 mo Later in 1975, had.3 children and 5 grandchildren. Now we're divorced, but we have happy memories. I still love this song
An absolutely sensational song from these incredibly beautiful women. Today's youth should take note and learn some talent and glamour lessons from this amazing group.
When this as a big hit and meant a lot to me .I was in love with great man but lost him through my own fault and still miss him .When I hear this lovely music it brings it all back to me the romance and joy he brought to me.
I am a younger fan of this stunning Classic! At 43 I am a big fan of all the different female singing groups, especially the Black female groups:. The Supremes, The Royalettes, The Three Degrees, The Emotions, The Pointer Sisters, The Marvelettes, Martha & The Vandellas, TLC, SWV, The Braxton's, Salt N Pepa, Brownstone, Klymaxx, Jade, Zhane, Kut Klose, Xscape, and too many others to name! I think that the 90's was the Renaissance for Black Girl Groups!
Perfect voices and music. Simple, beautiful words. I was in 9th grade when this was out. School, wrestling team, and simple social activities were my concerns. I think of all that when I hear this song. I am in my 60s now. Life only becomes harder.
I remember this song and group. Smokin hot beauties. This type of class and music will never occur again. Glad I lived it. Cruising my 70 SS Monte to this on weekends. Still with my girl too. 45 years later.
@eliteshipping-rc9hw That's where I was heading with my comment. I had lost my Mom, Jan 2022. It will always hurt, the hole never fills, you just have to make room for it. Sorry for your loss friend🌹🕊
I am 40 this year... But i grew up, grew up literally with all the old songs around me... I so much love music. And singing is my first love.. It makes me feel inlove. I find love and comfort in music. And i find joy and contentment when I sing😊😊😊😊😊😍😍😍😍😍
The song still gives me chills and fond memories! I still remember my freshman year in high school when this song came out! Loved it then and still love it now!
I was a little kid the first time I've heard this song.... and it made its mark on me right away... I am now in my late 50s, still like and love this song 🎵 - and everytime I hear this song it sends tingles all over me giving me unexplainable feelings of mixed emotions....
Memories my friend are a lifesaver...in a time when we ask ourselves whether people and political debate will learn to unite...I was lucky to have lived in a time with good music...and yes it wasn't easy but what is? Now 71.... this is the best of all that's happened in my life.... Keep the faith...
Our generation is far luckier than today's. We experienced the best (and even trying times) especially the music of the 70's, motown, gifted singers,.. I still listen to Beatles, Barbra, Gladys, Denver & his contemporaries all geniuses
