The THREE STOOGES FILM FEST featuring - EMIL SITKA! 

Emil Sitka actually made an earlier appearance in the 1934 musical short, Woman Haters, under the pseudonym, George Gray. He played the fiancé of Mary's older sister, June, who got beaten up by her father, his younger brother who works as a police officer, and middle brother whom is a professional boxer after he attempted to run away. He was seen shaking his head at Jim(played by Larry Fine) for actually going through the marriage instead of running away. Father: That reminds me of a story. Listen. That's me other daughter there. Well on her wedding day, the fella she was going to marry, tried to run away. Did you ever hear of a nerve like that? Well, I took care of that guy. In a room, I locked him and socked him in the eyes. Then, I turned him over to me brother, the cop. He just picked him up and spin him like a top. Then I turned him over to my other brother who is a fighter began. Son, I'm ashamed to tell you what he did to that man. Jim: Did he marry your daughter? Father: Pity, I say, he did. (points to the man in crutches and beaten up) There he is over there. He'll be walking soon. Poor kid.

1947 to 1955 was death row

I think that was Joe DeRita who formed the New Three Stooges. Sitka was going to be Larry's replacement for the film Blazing Stewardesses, but Moe's death put a stop to that.

​@@ladyfire44I don't know what you're smoking, but Emil Sitka's debut was in Half Wits Holiday, not Woman Haters. George Gray WAS George Gray in Woman Haters.

@@joshuariddensdale2126 Bess Flowers did not die young. She died in 1985 at the age of 84. She lived a full life.

There's even more of Emil in the remake of "Brideless Groom" entitled "Husbands Beware".

If you do a PART 2, I hope you include "GENTS IN A JAM" (1952), one of the best 3 stooges shorts featuring Emil as Shemp's millionaire Uncle, Phineas Bowman.

What was curly's last film

@@JohnJones-kk8zq Half-Wits Holiday in 1947. He had a stroke during the filming, was rushed to the hospital and never came back to finish the short 😭

@@JohnJones-kk8zq almost 44. He died in January 1952, 3 months after his 48th birthday. Curly’s death hit Moe, Larry and Shemp really hard

There was another who did: Tiny Brauer. Brauer managed to work with all the Stooges despite only making a dozen films with them.

@@JohnJones-kk8zq Greta Thyssen's figure. She's absolutely beautiful in the stooges last short released in 1959 entitled SAPPY BULLFIGHTERS. She was also Marilyn Monroe's photo double in the 1956 classic film BUS STOP. Greta was Miss Denmark, 1952. She was the most beautiful of all the stooges leading ladies in my opinion (with all due respect to Christine McIntyre).

Curly was very ill during the filming of “Half Wits Holiday “. Before the final pie fight, he suffered a massive stroke leaving Larry and Moe to finish without him. He would show up one more time in the train car scene from “ Hold that Lion “. It was an attempt to raise his spirits, and maybe get him back in the act. Shemp had rejoined with the understanding that he would hang around long enough for Curly to get well. Sadly, that never happened. Some of the last ones with Curly are hard to watch because of his lack of energy.
