We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80's Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girl's Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freaky Links, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal, Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The Street, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Luis, and Greg the Bunny. Lois: Is there no hope? Peter: Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes we might have a shot.

I loved watching both the cartoon and the live action Tick shows, real unfortunate how this happened.

Thanks for the shoutout! I gotta say, Vs. the Network 2023 Part 1 is a wild ride. The way Fox treated the Tick was pretty ugly, the show got squashed before the final episode got announced.

The Tick: Not the hero we need, but the hero we deserve. I loved all four versions of The Tick! Tick 2001 for Patrick Warburton's portrayal, and seeing it live for the first time. Amazon Prime Tick for lines like "Murder,, it's just not cool", the animated series for "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" and the comic, of course, for "SPOON!" I have pockets!!!!

I would say The Tick got better treatment than most. It was released on DVD only 2 years after it was cancelled. And it was one of the very first TV-DVD releases. And it was released years before they put the 1994 Saturday morning cartoon on DVD. And they still haven't released the third season.

Dinosaur Neil! The toys were awesome and the cartoon was absolutely amazing. I unfortunately never saw ANY of the live action stuff.

While this is all sad, I think the absolute worst part of this is the timing. Let me explain. The Tick (2001) premiered in November 2001. The month before that, Fox Family Worldwide was sold to Disney. The Tick (1994) would later on find a home on Jetix, particularly on Toon Disney. Meanwhile, Fox Kids added some older programming in its final season, like Life with Louie and The Magic School Bus. Do you notice something off about this? Right. They could very well have aired an episode or two of the 1994 cartoon to promote the new and "improved" 2001 series, like they did with Dungeons and Dragons and X-Men to promote their live-action movies. It could very well have benefited both The Tick (2001) and the Fox Kids lineup as a whole, despite the latter being on borrowed time by that point. My point is that it could have been REALLY easy to synergize between the kids programming and the primetime blocks one final time, before shipping the lineup off to 4Kids Entertainment. But they didn't, which makes this story even more heartwrenching.

The Tick is my favorite comic and superhero

I’m sad , the tick was my favorite superhero yet I feel like 2001 show was too ahead of it time . I wish they made another animated tick show or that Amazon give us a third season either way would be satisfying

It's unfortunate what they did to this show because of Corporate Greed and how Fox usually treats their shows during this era. Also Patrick Warburton was a perfect choice as The Tick

If you do suggestions...you should do Clerks the Animated Series Vs The Network It was a very decent animated show that aired on ABC until the network did absolutely nothing to the show Edit: Not to mention they constantly pushed the show aside in favor of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" (Which aired the same day)
