In this episode, we check out the Tide Rider by Pigtronix. Tide Rider is an analog tremolo pedal that encapsulates the wobble and wave of a vintage tube amplifier while allowing musicians to push this classic effect into futuristic territory. It features a transistor-based tremolo circuit coupled with a wide-range LFO capable of both wildly fast and ridiculously slow modulation. Speed and Depth knobs provide sounds that range from subtle to extreme in both rate and overall intensity. These traditional controls are joined by a push button toggle switch that changes the speed range of the LFO to allow for dramatic raygun and AM synthesis effects when turned all the way up.
