Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we continue the experiment on the items in Phasmophobia. Last time we did speedruns with the tier 3 items and we managed to find 12 ghosts in around 58 minutes. Let's see how much worse (OR BETTER) the Tier 1 items are. ENJOY!

Every time you make a video about how good some of the tier one items are so good, I can keep telling myself I'm using them on purpose, and it's totally not that I suck so bad that I don't have access to the tier 3's yet lol

7:06 Freezing is such a frustrating evidence because of this. There's no guaranteed way to cross it off, one match took so long trying to figure out the third evidence. Third evidence being freezing that all of a sudden decided to appear.

Yeah, in my experience freezing takes the longest to find. After that, I'd say dots. Dots can sometimes also take a long while to happen

Turn off the breaker. It will lower the overall temperature, and if it's freezing, you will get it

It feels like knowing the ghost led you to look for particular evidence in a lot of cases. Which sort of plays into the rng effect.

Yes but with T1 items it's also a challenge to get the evidence even if you know it's that evidence. My T1 writing book never works as well:D

the ghost following after being smudged in my opinion is more likely at edgefield cause everytime it has happened to me, is on the stairs of edgefield lol

I think this compared to the tier 3 run you had a lot better cursed possessions or at least used them more. Also a lot of early hunting ghosts with easier evidence overall. Regardless it's still super surprising how close the times were especially while having a death. Much more appreciation for the tier 1s now even tho everyone already knows the thermo is god tier

For me personally freezing works if you wait for about a minute holding tier 1 thermo in your hand after it got to +1 Celsius. If it doesn't cross 0 during this awaiting, it's not freezing. I get this evidence wrong all the time when I'm not paying attention to thermo readings this close.

The only item that is really bad is t1 dots. Everything else is workable. Honestly though, the new dots as a whole is terrible. So maybe if that was improved the pen wouldn't be so bad.

Consider suggesting to a the devs a "newbie" mode where they can start with tier 2 items and once they prestige, for the first time they get dropped to tier 1 because I am a newbie (who watches a lot of youtube) and my friends struggle to get into it.

How about a "is this really haunted" challenge, where you start with 0% sanity, friendly ghost, 0 evidences and 0 cursed possessions? XD (probably will be very boring or near impossible since no hunt and no evidence)

Insym, did you know that you can hide behind the dressing table at the end of the hallway downstairs in edgefield? I think it should be very safe because I myself have hidden there many times, but I have not been seen 99% of the time i learned that from psycho.thats awesome because you can see the ghost at all times, but the ghost can't

Yeah, 1 and 2 are way better than 3. Tier 3 DOTS just gives you false positives and misses the area of the room it isn't currently covering. This would change if they made it like the rotating tripods; if you could halt/control its movement it would be awesome, definitely the best DOTS item. We need a fix for this.

Technically it doesn't actually slow you down if you start sprinting. And if a hunt starts, you've already got an advantage on breaking line of sight.

No. They aren't. Upgrade all everything to Tier 3 guys, at the very least for evidence equipment and ESPECIALLY for Crucifix. No idea why all the content creators are reaching like this for absolutely no reason. "Aw man look at me being cool trying to be different to the contrary oh man I'm so cool." Nah dude. You CANNOT tell me it's useless to upgrade items because they get weaker as they upgrade... that sort of defeats the purpose of it being upgrades. Plus, the Tier 3 items look too cool to not use. This is just asinine.

You transparently didn't even bother to watch this video. Glowstick is indeed at least as good in a different way from Tier 3; Tier 1 Thermo is vastly superior to 2 & 3 (and this video is about that.) Nobody's ever said that the Tier 1 EMF or Crucifix is better, obviously those and some other items are way better, but in other instances Tier 1 or 2 stomps Tier 3. Tier 2 headgear is vastly superior to 1 and 3 alike, with 3 being the most useless of the headgear. Other items render it obsolete and it doesn't even display ghost orbs. Absolute trash tier item.

The "upgrade/fuck go back" meme exists for a reason lol, upgrade does not automatically mean better xD and a good bit of it is subjective opinion, like I agree with most of WynneL's points but the tier 3 headcam seems decent enough to me, so there's definitely some personal opinion stuff involved. You personally thinking tier 3 is better doesn't mean everyone else thinks the same :)
