Can we talk about how not only her parents dismissed Ava's worries thinking the guy wouldn't do anything, but also agreed on selling their underage daughter's pictures???

The fact that her dad is a cop and STILL said it was okay to sell his underage daughters photos to a random guy online is sick. Her parents are sick! They should be charged with child endangerment.

I find it mind blowing that, as a retired officer, Ava's father didn't consider that selling photos to Eric would almost certainly provoke an escalation on his part. No matter how innocuous the photos may have seemed to the family, it's exploitation. Make it make sense.

I honestly can't stand this side of social media. It's an amazing tool when used correctly but when it's not... Yikes.

My jaw is on the floor with how negligent, careless, and fame hungry these parents are. My kid would never be as accessible as this kid was on the internet, but if something like this ever happened, I wouldn't allow her to continue on to "show the haters she won't back down" or whatever the f**k. I would legit pack up our family and move to a completely undisclosed location and silence not only her social media but ALL of the family's social medias.

Side note: I will never understand how (barely) lipsyncing to existing songs and doing "dance moves" that would make a true dancer cry, can make you "famous". The world has truly gone bonkers.

Everyone is talking about her parents, but nobody seems to be talking about the fact that HER FRIENDS SOLD HER INFORMATION?! CONSISTENTLY?! Or the fact that a classmate of hers was actively giving her stalker information, STALKING HER, and NOTHING came out of it in court? That is such a terrifying situation, I hope she and her family heal.

Her parents are at fault here. Agreeing to allow their underage daughter to sell photos of herself to an adult? Absolutely not. Then, allowing her to keep posting content? Nope. This person almost k*lled her entire family and they're like, "Yeah, sure! Go ahead and keep posting!" As parents, we need to protect our kids. They failed.

I understand why the neighborhood wanted them gone, apparently they hadn’t learn their lesson and continue to let their daughter be online. I feel seriously bad for Ava, but she’s a kid and her parents should’ve protected her after already crossing the line by letting their underage daughter sell pics to a creep. This is about money, because I do not doubt for one minute that her parents don’t enjoy a more comfortable life because of their daughter. Really sad.

The way that people obsess over and hoover girls is so odd to me, especially when they're underage.. its never stops. She shouldn't have hours of 'content' of herself being cute online in the first place. She's not necessarily doing anything wrong, but the people around her will inevitably be doing something wrong.
