I’m not handy or an expert or anything, but your process seems so thorough and well-planned. You are going to feel very accomplished and proud every time you walk in that room!
The bathroom!! I remember what it was like prior to you touching it😳🥴. Its stunning....but, but, the floorboards and insulation you have laid down...that's a magnificent job!🥳👏👏👏 That will help the house in such a practical way...but will just look beautifully aesthetic. If you should ever sell, folk will never appreciate the fabulous work you have done. Tremendous. I salute you both. xxx
I've been watching your videos for only a few months, and I've been trying to catch up with all the renovation vlogs (and some others as well of course haha) since then. So I'm basically watching "old" videos and the most recent ones at the same time, which means I already know how the top floor looks like finished, but still watching the whole process of getting there ^^ (if that makes any sense...)
Those tongue tite screws are great but we found that the Reissner screws were better quality for undoing at a future date- Don't forget you may need to lift boards in the future and it owuld be a shame to have to crow bar your replaned boards ; we found the screws didn't need covering and we used 3 screws in a line to denote the boards that had cabling and pipes underneath.
That was a pretty good effort, on the hearth surround 👏 . Much more satisfying doing it yourself, you can look back in years to come, knowing you did it 👍
Love the bathroom tile choices. The radiator color choice is perfect for an accent to the black in the floor tiles. I can feel your excitement!!! The wood floors are a dream of mine. I am not a fan of carpeting... except maybe in bedrooms. So I love floor boards that aren’t quite perfect. And it’s a thing!!! I’m not the only one. So a few imperfections is nothing to worry about. If they are smooth...no splinters... then you are good. I can’t wait to see them done. You and Ollie are working so hard. Be proud of yourselves!!! Take care and see you soon!❤️Leslie

Can I recommend a track saw, preferably cordless... Olly would love it, and it gets you a PERFECT finish on so many long straight edges, bottoms of doors for example, but worktops and melamine etc.
That man of yours is a keeper over and over again, this is a labour of love, when a man does your floors💁🏽; yes you did your share of the work toodid you put in underfloor heating, or is it just insulated floors💁🏽💁🏽
