In this depiction of Zack's subconscious, Jesse Spano, his childhood friend, simply does not exist, and her absence is never acknowledged by him or any of his other friends. I remember having a conversation about this episode with a co-worker. *Her:* I was watching "Saved by the Bell" reruns. Remember that one where they were in a band called "Zack Attack?" *Both:* *Laughter for a solid minute and a half *Me:* Remember the way they all lip synced, and how Lisa slapped the bass? *Both:* *Another giggle fit for another minute and a half This went on intermittently all day, and we annoyed all other co-workers, who were Boomers or from another country, and didn't know wtf "Saved by the Bell" was.

You know there’s a theory that Bayside is all just a dream made up by Zach. Hence why he went from a nerd at a middle school in Indiana to the hottest guy at school in California. It’s also why his friends remained the same, Belding was still the principal and Zach never actually got in trouble and always got the girls. And the cavalcade of characters we never saw again. It was all a dream.
