+Unbox Therapy Hi bro, how are you able to provide a large thumbnail of your latest video along with channel subscription link at the end of all your videos?
+EposVox - Why not IKEA Bevara? ;) I love those, seals perfectly shut, while I believe clothespins only holds a part of the opening closed.. In theory air should be able to travel through the rolled bag where the clothespin isn't holding the bag.. If you understand my description ;)
its not really usefull to keep things fresh, becoase not only the seal matters, its the air within that will go bad they add some gass in each bag to keep it fresh
Don't you love it when people talk about someone who smokes a flower as if they are somehow less than them. Smh. Get over yourselves. Even the feds have said it is a'ok. SMD.
Man this is OOOOOOOOLD as hell! I purchased this some 20 odd years ago. But then there was no none of that USB BS!!! It worked with 2 AA bateries. Worked like a charm until the day it fell off the fridge too! Boom! History!
Well, I wouldn't need that because GUESS WHAT??!! I ALWAYS FINISH MY PACKET OF CHIPS, I NEVER STOP EATING UNTIL I AM DONE WITH THE PACKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My cousin had something similar in the late 90's that he got as a bonus gift when he ordered something from one of those infomercials. Really good product.
I had one of these things almost 25 years ago I found in Dollar Tree, the only major difference was it took 2 AA batteries, and all it did was make my kitchen smell like burnt plastic.
This is seriously redundant. The point of the sealing isn't so that your bag of chips magically don't go stale, it's to lock the nitrogen(which is a very non-reactive gas) from seeping out. This nitrogen is what keeps your chips "fresh".The moment you open your chips, there's NO GOING BACK. The nitrogen doesn't magically come back, even when you seal it back, because the Oxygen which would've entered would now rancidify your food, no matter what. At the most, it might delay the rancidification of ALL the chips in one go, but it's not going to stop it.
you are correct about the loss of the artificial atmosphere, however, you aren't correct about the chips being done for as soon as the bag is opened. if the chips are left open they are exposed to the normal environment which causes them to go stale as they oxidize and the moisture evaporates however, if they are in a sealed bag of normal atmosphere the air is not circulating and the moisture has no where to go like when they are fully open. thus they will not go stale as quickly as the open packet. (but wont last as long as the original packaging)
Speaking from HUMID washington DC area right now, resealing a crispy bag of chips right now would be money. Humidity kills everything... for the geek in us, this beats clothespins...but not by much.
wtf dude...nobody said that this was going to "magically" preserve those chips like a new bag...its just like using spins...but a bit better. No need to show us your google skills about nitrogen xD.
I had that before the video and was identical- same looking rolled-up charger, same exact design, but the only different things were that the cable was white, not black and mine said air-lock on it
did you know that this has been around for at least 10 years, i remember back in 2005 i came across one at Walmart. was like 5$ back then, but wasnt rechargeable like this one. still kool to know their still making them
Had one of these in our house back in the 90's. No USB power then, used 2x AA batteries, magnet to hang on the fridge. Forgot the name of it. DId exactly this.
I suggest doing a video on death lens phone cases. It's a cheap little phone case that comes with an insane fish eye that can screw onto the case. The case can also fit other types of lenses but only comes with the fish eye
Just a tip for those that use sealers, don't pull the remaining piece of plastic off till you start eating it again. Pulling it off can sometimes ruin the air tight seal, so it better to just leave the scraps on till you're hungry again.
I remembered using this when I was a kid in Hong Kong, which is about 20yrs ago, I guess they've changed the packaging and appearance to make it looks like a great innovation =/ It was using 2 AA battery and a hot wire (it does look like a stapler version back then), I'm pretty sure it is just the kanthal wire which we can find out there for vaping e-cig for most of the use. As it heats up to re-seal the plastic residue you have in the bag to seal it shut
or you could fold the opening once and use a paper clip or something like that. But all in all it's a pretty nice little thing. If you have something that needs to be closed so it doesn't dry out then this is perfect. nice vid as always
This would be perfect for my school playground. Some people like to buy chips off other people for like $2, if I had this I would just eat 3/4 of the bag and sell it off for $2.
i remember this thing like 20 years ago. it's been working on two AA batteries. my parents bought it from vietnamese market . but for some reason, it worked only few times ...
The idea is pretty cool. But like most gadgets, it's a complicated high-tech solution to a simple problem. A cheap and simple Sealing Clamp (see Amazon) can do the same thing. You don't need to charge the clamp or take 20 seconds to apply it.
I see your point. It depends on your needs. I found 8 pieces of clamps on Amazon for $6.25. I don't usually have more than 8 bags to seal, so I prefer the clamps personally. However, the heat sealer is better in terms of seal appearance, tightness of seal, space occupied, ability to seal unlimited bags, ability to seal huge bags, and of course novelty.
Hey here’s an idea , you should create a website with litterally every product that you’ve ever showed on your channel. Basically a website where we can purchase any product you’ve ever showed us in one place .
if the chips are left open they are exposed to the normal environment which causes them to go stale as they oxidize and the moisture evaporates however, if they are in a sealed bag of normal atmosphere the air is not circulating and the moisture has no where to go like when they are fully open. thus they will not go stale as quickly as the open packet.
