It's crazy to believe that one chair shot set off an entire chain of events, it gave Bret Hart his final WWE championship and put him on the path to Survivor Series but it also kicked off the epic Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels feud which culminated in the first ever hell in a cell match which to me is still the best one ever. I agree with Solomonster, wrestling will never be as good as the late 90s. It truly was a special time.

My response to WarhawkBeyond2040; it was a great moment to see Shawn Michaels (as a special guest referee), The Undertaker and Triple H,, all walk up towards the Rampway. (April 1, 2012 (Wrestlemania 28: the Hell in A Cell match, at the Sun Life Stadium = Miami Gardens, Florida) "The End of an Era." Triple H wanted to end The 'Taker's streak. (Triple H tried to use his trusty sledgehammer, but The Game had tapped out to one of the Undertaker's signature submission (MMA-based/UFC or Bellator brand) moves, "the Hell's Gate," a BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) variation of the "Gogoplata.")

I can see why the tombstone (and Martha's comments about it) wasn't talked about in Owen Hart's DSotR episode. Doesn't make him or his family look that great, despite the tragic death & aftermath overshadowing it completely. Maybe the tombstone was one of Martha's 10 questions she asked, to keep Owen's legacy wholly positive.

It's a shame what happened to Austin's neck. He could have wrestled a little longer than retiring after Wrestlemania 19. The way I look at the situation is Owen was most likely ashamed and embarrassed over the incident. Keep in mind, he was trained by his father, Stu Hart, wrestling is in the family's DNA. Owen probably felt major guilt about hurting Austin's neck, but he should have called him immediately for forgiveness. There's no excuse why Owen didn't call him, and you can tell Austin is still angry about the match and the aftermath. As far Martha's account of things, she clearly doesn't know what she is talking about. It was probably best to leave that alone because nobody asked for her perspective.

For obvious reasons, Austin had to change styles after that Tombstone. I think there was a point in his recovery where Austin could work close to like what he used to, but by then the brawling style had became an integral part of Austin's character. Moves like Lou Thesz press and stomping a mudhole came to be what defined the style that is "Stone Cold". However, I say what I said at the beginning because Kurt Angle didn't get to wrestle Austin until after the injury and yet he praises his wrestling ability as being top notch.
