Sanjay Jha seems to be spending a lot of time with Shashi Tharoor(pay attention to his pronunciation and style of speaking) Just hearing his first sentence, made me smile and then I didn’t listen to what he said.

JSD made logical point when he said that we shouldn't ignore the number of dissents being made and number of sedition complaints been registered. So that it remains contextualised. Otherwise it gives the impression as if most dissents in India are contained using sedition law. Any logical person always sees everything with its context. Without context, it becomes illogical and valueless. For example, the way sati system is taught, i used to think that it was widespread which is false. Agreed that even one wrong sedition charging is bad as even one Sati is bad but things should be quoted with context. And things should be read and understood with context. So that the interpretation remains intact. Further, JSD said it in the context of the asked question "gvt is intolerant to the freedom of speech?" Which Sanjay Jha ignored. On the basis of facts (number of dissents r far more than number of police complaints), one can't conclude that gvt is intolerant. Anand Rangnathan says sedition includes everything. Which is false. SC has made it clear. If implementation of law is not right then don't conclude law is not right. Be logical. Reading bare act and not caring about the update (by Supreme Court) is again illogical. It decontextualizes the interpretation of the law. Also, saying that it is actually applied (and not misused) is illogical because it gives the impression that the law itself has problem whereas the "implementation" of law is problem. I think, from discussion we can conclude problem is not "law" but its "implementation" so fixing accountability of officials who implement any law is way forward. Wrong implementation should attract punishment. This way, not only sedition law will be used consciously but other laws (dowry, rape, etc.) will also be implemented carefully.

Sanjay Jha at the start: "Sedition law ought to be scrapped" Sanjay Jha later: "Nobody says there shouldn't be any sedition law, we just need police reforms" When JSD catches him losing argument to police reforms, Sanjay Jha starts acting like a 5 year old. This guy never fails to amuse!!

When you lack the knowledge and have correct facts with you, you should respect someone correcting you and have guts to absorb @Sanjay_Jha. As J. Sanjay is one of the faces of Congress, explains the state of Congress. Sanjay and his ilk tries to establish that there is no scope of dissent and JSD, by raising the issue of proportionality, hit the Achilles heel and hence Sanjay got so agitated. Sanjay, people can see through, people can see through well enough. S Jha needs to go to class 4-5 and learn what ratio and proportion means! He found the most logical argument of the debate to be fallacious. The fact that he was a spokesperson really tells me why folks lost trust on his political outfit.
