Just to clarify, Im not ranking the 10 best actors of all time. The video is about the 10 best acting performances. Thats why for example De niro is not in it because I dont see any of his work can match these. Trust me I have seen a lot of movies and these 10 are in my opinion the very best.
@@coolnamebro De Niro is great no doubt but DDL destroys even the great man. I mean can you imagine Bobby pulling off Christy Brown in the same way DDL did? I get it as no man could have possibly played a young Vito better but DDL is so much more versatile. I actually prefer Mitchum's Cady anyway far more brooding and scary, De Niro was great but too cartoonish and OTT and the 1962 Cape Fear is superior in every way. I also feel the same about Cox's Lecter being superior to Hopkins for exactly the same reason so no hate towards De Niro, one of the greats. Weirdly it's De Niro's work ethic that possibly harms him as he inevitably makes a few duds, DDL picks few projects but they seem to always be iconic films and roles.
I don't like De niro. BUT, You can not have a list like this without his scene from "Awakenings" when he is at the table with Robin Williams and his head is shaking so much that he can no longer read his book. I can not watch that scene without feeling gut wrenched. That scene always sticks in my mind when I thinks of best acting scenes. and I THOURUGHLY dislike the man
With the common understanding that all opinion is subjective and the title acts to emphasizes the gravity of the list in his eyes but, does not change our understanding that his list cannot be definitive.
@@JosedecAdil this is a scam video, everyone has their own favorite acting performances but this scammer was titling it ten best which draws the addicts in to watch.
Its crazy how the guy jump from comedy romance goofy movies too dead serious roles ... Cant belive that the over-enthusiastic manager in Tropic thunder is the same guy who play Rust Cohle, fkin wild
Or Daniel Day-Lewis the uploader's fav. I always enjoy the movies with no CGI, just with the real acting. There are so many great actors and actresses, but not enough good roles.
I just love how he doesn't put any clips of Heath Ledger's performance of Joker because we already know how good it was and it doesn't need any presentation
Heath Ledger: pretty much every scene in Brokeback Mountain. Tom Hanks: "Wilson" scene in Castaway. Christian Bale: "heart attack" scene w/Jennifer Lawrence in American Hustle. Timothee Chalamet: "telephone" and "fireplace" scenes @ end of Call Me By Your Name. Alan Rickman: "meeting Marianne" scene in Sense and Sensibility. Robert DeNiro: "ballroom dance competition" and "betting a parlee" scenes in Silver Linings Playbook. Robin Williams: "It's not your fault" scene in Good Will Hunting.
Heath Ledger's Joker is in the list! 😊 Right after Marlon's godfather, you may have missed the clip since it's a small quick one😅 And Joaquin is great too!
These were good. Whether the best ten? It's hard to say. I think it depends upon how you relate to the film. Taraji Henson in "Hidden Figures" stole my heart. When she returns from going to the bathroom and is questioned about her absence, her response is so real, so defining of her character, that it always brings me to tears. And I've watched many times. Is that the best ever? It is for me. But your choice is as legitimate as mine.
Great acting is not crying. It is not cursing and shouting. It is dominating the screen, it is captivating the audience so that they can’t look away and have to see what comes next. And great acting stays with you long after the end of the film so that you want to watch it again.
Dark Knight is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I personally rank Heath Ledger’s Joker among the best villain performances ever. Great list!!👍👍👍

A lot of negative comments in here?! Why?? EVERY top 10 is subjective. These are his favorites. Everyone has a different top 10. Great list Uscados👌🏻👍🏻
I am always blown away by DDL but in particular in 'my left foot' in the modern day we would rightly call for someone with a disability to play that role but read a really great piece by a quadriplegic film fan who had avoided the film for the reason above. They ultimately sobbed with the brilliance and sympathy he bought to Christy Brown saying it completely changed their concerns about the role not being played by a sufferer of Cerebral Palsy and felt totally represented and understood
Imo 10. Michael Keaton - Birdman 9. J.k. Simmons - Whiplash 8. Sean Pen - Mystic River 7. Daniel Day-Lewis - Gangs of New York 6. Javier Bardem - No Country For Old Men 5. Matthew McConaughey - Dallas Buyers Club 4. Denzel Washington - Training Day 3. Marlon Brando - The Godfather part 1 2. Daniel Day-Lewis - There Will Be Blood 1. Heath Ledger - The Dark Knight
Now that you mention Meryl, I notice the lack of female actress performances in this ranking. Truly a shame, since Meryl in my opinion is an absolute legend and great in her roles. Her getting an oscar for "Sophie's choice" was for sure the right choice! But I also do think the performances, or at least the majority of them, are worthy of being in this (rather short) list.
1) Ellen Burstyn in Requiem For A Dream; 2) Jimmy Stewart in Mr Smith Goes To Washington; 3) Won Bin in The Man From Nowhere; 4) Anthony Hopkins in Silence Of The Lambs; 5) Michael Clarke Duncan in The Green Mile; 6) Andy Griffith in A Face In The Crowd; 7) Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade; 8) Goldie Hawn in The Sugarland Express; 9) Nicolas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas; 10) Shohreh Aghdashloo in The Stoning of Soraya M; 11) Martin Sheen in The Execution of Private Slovik; 12) Jimmy Stewart in It’s A Wonderful Life; 13) Viola Davis in The Help; 14) Ralph Fiennes in Schindler’s List; 15) Gong Li in Curse of The Golden Flower; 16) Roberto Benigni in Life Is Beautiful; 17) Noomi Rapace in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo; 18) M Emmet Walsh in Blood Simple; 19) Taraji P Henson in Hidden Figures; 20) Henry Thomas in ET The Extra Terrestrial; 21) Spencer Tracy in Inherit The Wind; 22) Jon Voight in Runaway Train; 23) Denzel Washington in Man On Fire; 24) John Glover in An Early Frost; 25) Val Kilmer in Tombstone
All great scenes. But one of the best scenes in my opinion, is Tom Hanks in Captain Philips. The in-shock scene, where he gets treated by true paramedics 👌🏻
Here is in my opinion some of the best actors who completely nail their role in these movies: - Jaquein Phoenix as The Joker - Tobin Bell as Jigsaw - Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal - Sighourney Weaver as Ripley in Alien
You wanna see Henry Thomas audition for ET, and the conversation between mother and son about her grandmother in sixth sense, and Helen hunts tearful acting in as good as it gets ..
10. Dallas Buyers Club 9. Whiplash 8. Mystic River 7. Gangs of New York 6. No Country for Old Men 5. Birdman 4. Training Day 3. The Godfather 2. The Dark Knight 1. There will be Blood
Interestingly, my criticism of this list is that you didn't include Daniel Day Lewis's Lincoln. I re-watch this movie every once in a while because it feels like I am watching and hearing Lincoln speak. When I visit Lincoln sites or read books about Lincoln, I can feel Lincoln's presence and it is that of Lewis's Lincoln.
Check out Tom Hardy in Locke, Philip Seymour Hoffman in doubt or the master, Cillian Murphy in the wind that shakes the barley edit: I forgot Hoffman in Capote & Charlize Theron in monster !
Just watched Good Time by the safdie brothers and Robbert Pattinson gives in my opinion the best performance in recent years. Great film aswell. Can't wait for Mickey 17. Adam Driver in marriage story is up there aswell. My all time favourite is DDL in there will be blood. And a one a lot of people might have heard of is Toby Kebbel in Dead man's shoes. "They all wanted to hold my hand didn't they." "Yea, I didn't. Don't need to do I." Gets me every time.
Good list, the clips are of very strong emotions which is important but there are many other emotions conveyed thru exceptional acting. Anthony Hopkins-Silence of the Lambs and Deniro-Taxi for instance. Sean Penn was much stronger in Milk. Streep, Audrey Hepburn, Olivier and many more.
Daniel Day-lewis has a life of great acting, but the other impressive stand outs were that particular movie with Mathew McConnaughey (Buyers club), and Heath Ledger in Batman.
