Wild rose is a very nice ship set mainly because it’s versatile and easy on the eyes the crimson and gold really makes it stand out the best part is if you have the wheel you’re better than most

absolutely kicking myself for not completing the Wailing Barnacle when I had the chance, was new to the game at the time and didn't appreciate the value of time limited cosmetics, got everything but the capstan and sails at least:) If I had to pick a favourite set it would have the be the new Merchant set but I usually mix and match to make my own shipsets and the many sets I've put together are very nice:) Can't wait for the day we can name them!
Rare suck for playing these kinds of games of time limited stuff, lock things behind achievements not time limited events. There is no achievement in playing a game earlier then someone else
There is something special about the OG ships for me. I still remember the satisfaction in being able to buy my first set, the castaway bilge rat set. However there are so many good ones, I personally really like the Bone Crusher Set from Cursed Sails. A fitting name considering I felt like all of my pirate’s bones were crushed after that event.
Well, I might say that my favourite ship set doesn’t actually consist of one sets cosmetics. It consists of the livery of the silver blade (hull, sails, figurehead, flag) and the legendary wheel, capstan and cannons. Unfortunately, I do not have all of them yet, but I really like how the clear colours of the silverblade looks with the shiny gold parts of the legendary set. The only problem with the set is that it would not be a good choice for pvp, because I personally do not like to shoot with cannons that hasn’t got a similar shape as the sailor cannons (I do not own the goldes sailor ones). Sorry for my poor use of words here, but writing this comment felt like writing an english essay and not knowing how to express myself in some of the sentences. (Xeno6805)

I hate that every cool cosmetic is now unavailable to earn or buy in any legitimate way. It triggers me endlessly, feels like if I would have started playing this game about half a year earlier I would have been given hundreds of participation trophies for no reason
As a new player who has only started playing roughly a week ago, I have grinded out everything for the Ashen Dragon ship set. To me personally, I just love the look of it. I could understand that because it's easily attainable that it would be considered the "noob ship" but I love everything about it. Feels at least the most unique out of the ships shown throughout the rest of this video with it's glowing features and such
I used a mix and match set: Eternal Freedom Hull (for stealth) Shrouded Ghost Figureheads (they look menacing) Dark Adventurer Sails (for maximum view from wheel position) Shrouded Ghost Hunter Wheel (for precision center wheel position) Wailing Barnacle Cannons (tip of cannons has excellent ironsight use) Hunter Capstan (it looks armored and tough) Every ship cosmetic I choose is picked primarily for maximum utility for ship operation first, looks second.
My favourite set is: Ghost hull Black pearl cannons Plain black sails Ghost figurehead Obsidian wheel Grand admiral capstan (if only I had the obsidian one) It is quite a mixture but I think it works together perfectly.
Out of the emporium: Fighting frogs because green is my favourite colour and my bf likes frogs. From earnable sets: Thriving rose I'm a sucker for floral designs. However I like using the legendary figurehead of courage from an earlier summer event. My own personal style: Sails of hope, legendary courage figurehead, dawn hunter cannons, dawn hunter wheel, dawn hunter capstan, and the glorious sea dog hull. (And always the rainbow flag to top it off)

Love that you got the merchant ship set on there, but the placement was kinda questionable. I know that everybody has his own opinion but yours is just wrong. It definitely should have been placed higher.
Silverblade is definitely #1 and Obsidian is tied up with Silverblade. If there will be a completed version of the Burning Blade, that will be #2 and Gilded Phoenix is my #3.
I'm probably just out of the loop, but why the 5-frame cutaways that look like a distorted vhs tape? Also, Silent Barnacle for sure. Something about the muted color palette, and the patience needed to get it.
my favorite set is the (currently incomplete) rising morning star set, from it being a tribute to one of the best crews the sea has ever known, to the stunning bear figurehead, to the white stars going REALLY good with the admiral red, i used it for the longest time back in the day and hope rare finishes the set someday
I met some1 nice in open crew once they showed off the wailing barnacle set to me and I had never seen it before, so I was super impressed, IT LOOKS SO GOOD! Once again I am sad that I only started playing a year ago, but at least I'm gonna complete that silver blade ship set next week. When I was newer my first goal was also getting the inky kraken set and I still use the wheel, cannons and capstan pretty often. I think what we need is more full ship sets that get unlocked for doing stuff like commendations, like the new tall tale rewards they start 2 ship sets, the pink one and the sunken silver blade one, but both aren't finished (dunno if I'd like a full sunken silver blade set tho) and I would also love to get more new sets that aren't emporium or plunder pass. They could have at least a half set in the free pass or just add completely new sets that aren't recolors to the stores as well. I don't think I agree with everything on this ranking (Im a fan of the OoS stuffs, especially the newer ones), but you sure have a good taste! Love ya videos sir, keep it up! P.S: I must add that these little leaky things that were just a couple frames spread across the video make me real happy. I feel like there is something to investigate and even tho it's probably just you teasing what Rare are teasing too they still make my day!
My fav is ahen dragon set. I love that dragon marks and flames in hull. Also I have sentiment to this set because when saw it for the first time I knew that was perfect for me. After 2 months buying and getting from skellys ashen keys and chest i finally managed to complete this(figurehead tome didn"t wanted go drop) but when i collected it i was so proud. actually this is one of my main skins in the game(alongside with mayhem and merchant admiral).
I bought this game on release. Was thoroughly let down by it. Gold on that release version was so hard to get. 1000 gold was a lot and buying a full shipset in those early days was a lot of work. I remember buying the full castaway set after some grinding and your fondness of the admirals set as your first reminded me of that
First ship I brought was the Shark Hunter, cause I loved a black ship. I then brought the Grand Admiral (yellow and black one, not 100% sure if it's called G.A). But sadly it never left the dock. I was planning on waiting til I was somewhat of a decent pirate before I sailed that ship. But the Shark Hunter became infamous with my pirate, that somewhat black ship with black sails was much apart of my pirate as his sword. Athena's Fortune took over from it, has it more black to it's hull. Then I met a famous pirate who I brought a ship similar to his, which now I sail with. I only have 3 favourite ship sets (non mixed ones, I have many favourite mix ship sets) 1. Enteral Freedom 2. Grand Admiral 3. Shark Hunter
I loved this vid as always! My Silver Gem(The name of my Ship) will have the DA Sails(Cause of the Gem on it and cause my Pirate wears black and red clothing and is a redhead) and everything else from the Silver Blade when I'll have them(minus the Cannons, of which I don't know which ones I'll use). I'm just answering this without joining the giveaway: My persona favorite set is the "Thriving Wild Rose" set. I don't have the resources to play Sea of Thieves currently, sadly (Never had the resources. never played it but I've seen others play it and I want to play it) but once I finally am able to sail, I will try and get that set as soon as I can.
I love the Cursed Ferryman ship set more than anything. First off, I love Pirates of the Caribbean, and Davy Jones is my favorite character. I love his ship the, Flying Dutchman. When I first started Sea of Thieves, I dreamed of one day being able to sail around on a ship resembling the legendary Dutchman. And now, today, thanks to whatever miracle brought upon the Seas this collaboration, I can. Some say it's an ugly, lazy person's Wailing Barnacle. I have two favorites. 1. The Silver Blade I love this set and is still getting it. I just got the jacket and I’m wearing it at the moment even though my pirate is a guy. I cannot wait to finish this set and hopefully wear and flex it on the seas 2. The Bone Crusher Set I never got the whole ship, like the hull, flag, and figurehead. But everything else I have. And I’m pissed that I never got the rest of the set. The same for the weapon set of it, I never got the flintlock or sniper.
Same, I'm not quite as new now that I'm on the verge of pirate legend, but I'm still getting used to pvp combat and finishing the tall tales (a pirates life included)
My favourites are the tribute peak and the mayhem sets. Tribute peak reminds me of when i started playing and gold was the only goal and i was gonna horde the shit like a god damm dragon. The mayhem ship set i just love because it was sutch a fun grind to get, it was 4 hours or blowing shit up and setting shit on fire
My favourite set is the obsidian. Shame it's so rare and I don't have it, but hopefully it will be a twitch drop soon. For now I mix and match keeping to a black theme. Great video! Oh and of course the wailing barnacle would be first. 😂

My favorite ship set is the Hunter set, it was the first ship I ever bought and I was so excited when I finally got it. The black, white, and brown-ish red all look amazing together, and I love the symmetrical diamond style of the set. StarWarsNerd88
I'm usually rather interested in ship designs that look more extravagant, with lots of gold and gems and strong colours, that sort of stuff, to show your wealth. But I rarely get to see someone else with a similar taste in cosmetics for some reason. I can't do much with a a shipset that looks so tattered and washed out you're affraid it would sink from just staring at it, but I acknowledge it for people who like to go with a more "ragged ruffian" sort of style.
My personal favorite ship set is the silver blade, although I'm not a big fan of the cannons and capstan I replace them with ones that I like. My favorite sails are the dark adventure sails for obvious reasons.
I don't have a problem with the cannons. I use the cultural Aristocrat cannons, which are just the poor uneducated cousin of the Silverblade, and I don't have a problem at all. Edit: Then of course, people aren't like me.

Another honorable mention is the original Bone Crusher set, especially the figurehead. Whenever I see that cursed Kraken skull hanging off a ship’s bow I know to be scared!
The wailing barnacle ship set has always special place in my heart, the Athena ghost ship set with wailing barnacle wheel, captan, and cannons look great as well, haven’t tried it with the new pearl ship set yet though
My Favourite ship set is the Order of Souls set.. granted it does take some time to get but for me it was worth the wait. While trying to get that set, The first bought set for me was and I keep going back too every so often is the Hunters set, however the figurehead (horses head) is the only thing I dislike and I tend to swap it for the silver blades one.
Wailing Barnacle is also my favorite - I just like blue. I also like the Frozen Horizon set (fight me lol), but I kinda have to since I am *Frosty*crypton. Ice is nice.
I used to be a die hard sea of thieves player from day one. I got pirates legend within the first month and was really enjoying collecting all the time limited cosmetics. Eventually it became to much of a chore and I felt it was the only game I had time to play so I let it go. With so many cosmetics locked behind time limited events that I’ve missed I don’t see myself ever returning to this game and feeling good about it. I think time limited items are cool but I think it should be limited for a certain time, like a few months to a year not forever imo
I love my ship "the bounty hunter" she is companion of the inky kraken haul, the collectors warsmith head,the black pearl collectors sails, the ashin dragon cannons and anchor and finally the order of soul wheel
Love the Souls Emissary ship. (The recent one.) Love the purple mix and the cannons remind me of something you would find in HP Lovecraft. The whole ship feels like a lovecraft nod. From the eyes all over the place to the cool blue glowing esthetic in the sails and haul. The figurehead really helps bring everything together. Well worth the grind. ~DarkTale1812
The Kraken set was the first one I bought, but the problem is that it looks FAR darker under deck than other hulls. You can barely see anything down there because there is ink everywhere. Which is why I, with a heavy heart, bought the Hunter set next because it was simple and cool and I never went back. I'm not rocking Hunters anymore right now, but I won't go back to Kraken, inner walls are too dark.
Personally, I don’t have a certain favorite ship as of now. There are so many sets out there, and all of them have their own strengths and weaknesses. For example, the figurehead is the most wonderful part of the mercenary set, and put together with something such as the obsidian hull and the Bonnie Belle sails being added on soon could create something truly special. They best ship set for me could be anything, as long as it’s creative and fits a certain theme, but as long as the user loves their set they should use it to their heart’s content. Perhaps you should do a video next on some of the best combination of ship pieces you could find? (BigBurgerBun901)
I don't usually use a full ship set, but my favorite would probably be the Spartan set. The hull and wheel are the backbone of my main ship, the Ghastly Glaive, and the hull pairs perfectly with my favorite sails, the Ghost Captain sails. The capstan has a really unique shape, the cannons look awesome, and I can't resist a wheel with a gem in the center peg. Mercenary Ship Set is my absolute favorite. Its a rare one to have completed and it looks grounded and fantastic on a sloop. Definitely gives a veteran feel without being too outlandish. GT: RobertsButt

I have made it my personal mission to turn my ship into the Ferry of the damned (mini). I use either the black pearl hull or the shackled phantom, along with the tattered black pearl sails, ghost cannons, and ferryman figurehead. It was the first set i completed and the set i have the best memories getting, it's also the only set i get the "how'd you get that?" My favourite isn't on this list, the bone crusher set. I bought SOT when the cursed sails event happened and me and a few friends grinded the skeleton fleets. I got the bone crusher set as my first full set and I've used almost every time I sail. I just love the red/crimson and black colour scheme and the kraken skull figurehead is totally badass. Sometimes I use the wailing barnacle set because I love the blue, but the bone crusher has a special place in my heart
“Pretty soppy” noooo bro , I back you on this. Nothing more fun than getting attached too your ship and refusing too give up or let it sink. It makes a good crew ! It just feels more real.. more personal. If your a vet or even somone new at some point you will have a ship you always make and is your go too. One that never leaves your mind when thinking what too build and the name always sticks too .
Personally, my fave ship set has to be Ashen Dragon, since its the first set i completed, and the first tall tale i did.Having joined on the tail end of anniversary, me and my bud just went around doing low level voyages, until seabound souldropped, and i joined some LFG crews to complete it (still haven't done all the commendations, need to finish it again) And collecting the tomes to get the ashen dragon stuff was a great journey.
@@AShinyRay Same, i got most of them when they came out, but the last couple sets i took a break when they came out. I got most of them quickly, but then just kept getting the same few i had for ages,only needed 3more,got 1 of them at the start of the year, 1 of them in march, and i finally got the last one in early july, Man did it feel good.
@@AShinyRay Agreed, its such a good looking set, its annoying that some people say they don't want it just because its a reskin of an existing set (although it differs much more then other reskins), although more great looking sets would be more common. I think they could start releasing some emporium sets as super rare drops from certain events and stuff. Either by making it a small chance the crews who beat it get it, or for more of that pvp flair, it being an item that drops from stuff, similar to gold pouches and such, where you redeem it right there, otherwise if you needed to hand it in to the shipwright, many people would complain about their rare drop being stolen, and some people would steal it, even if they had their own. And for people who get duplicates, perhaps if everyone in your crew already had it, you can pick it up like a normal item, and if another crew gets it, you got like 50ish ancient coins, or more likely, dabloons. Then it has that gift giving side similar to the gifts
I wish rare designed inside the ship, having nice looking designs instead of the default ship design inside, I know there’s a few hulls that are coloured a bit inside but no real effort into it, it would be cool if the ashen hull could show the same effect inside the ship aswell
I'm only about 100 hours into the game. My first skin was the Sea Dog set. It appealed to me because it was "piratey" in the classic sense. Now though, I'm starting to wonder if it was worth all that effort. I tend to play alone because I don't trust random people. I'm a good sailor and navigator, but a lousy pirate in general.
My favorite ship set would have to either be soulflame Cursed ferryman or normal parrot, I can never decide between them but I always have to use glitterbeard cannon flare so atleast that is simple
Btw, we need the gost parrot that shows up in the Tunnel of the Damned during the Pirates' Life and Captains of the Damned Tall Tales as an available pet!

I think the Silent Barnacle set is more attractive than the Wailing Barnacle set due to being base green instead of base blue. I also think it's more impressive because it's only obtainable through being earned through a long grind, whereas the WB was just a simple purchase.
My favorite ship set is definitely the unfinished ferry of the damned set that we’ve been collecting pieces for at tank 100 of each season pass. I really enjoy the green glow of the hull and I usually mix it with the reapers mark sails and the soulflame emporium cosmetics. Gt- MuscularMoose1

My flagship is the Magpie Wing sails, Magpie wing cannons, Hunters hull, Sailor capstan or that black reskin of it (forgot the name) and the Legendary Figurehead or Triumphant Sea Dog Figurehead
I really liked the Shark Hunter set when I started and even now I still use parts of it blended with the wheel and capstan of the Shrouded Ghost Hunter set and usually the collector Eternal Freedom Sails
