why am I imagining Mihawk busting out every blade he has making a makeshift motor boat powered by his sheer slashing power coming in like a balistic missile and tossing blades like they were heat seeking missiles hunting for Yoru
Honestly I always thought that besides Luffy, Boa Hancock was the person who had something most similar to a yonko. She has an island and army under her control, she has commanders, she is a top tier fighter, and she has conquerors Haki. Also, even the lower tiered fodder on her crew know basic Haki and she was able to almost defeat Blackbeard’s entire crew as well as defend against the marines at the same time. I had her bounty at over 2 billion in a video I made before the new bounties were revealed.
i think some of that is because the warlords were not in the first draft of the story, back when Oda was only going to make op a 5-10year manga. it was going to be just Luffy vs. the Yonko. so some of those early concepts got chucked into the warlords instead. Big Mom and Kaido where hammered out later. (adding the warlords, and later the supernovas, pretty much ballooned the story)
I think the reason that Luffy is an emperor despite Kidd and Law having the same bounty is because of the Straw Hats: while those three can stand toe to toe to toe, Luffy has 9 crew members all with 300 million+ Berry bounties, because they were instrumental in dropping the Tobi Roppo, so would be most qualified to subsume the Beast Pirates’ space among the Emperors
Also Luffy has his Grand Fleet (even if he did not want it) with about 5000 members if I recall correctly. So he has a friggin army with known strong pirates at his disposal. In the eyes of the government he could start a war, the others just don't have these numbers.
@@joseaugustosoriano5094 Eh, allied wouldn't be the right word, they have a positive standing sure. The only two place that would be considered allied are Fishmen Island and Wano since they specifically have a strawhat banner raised on their lands (Would Amazon Lily count as well?)
Sanji has actually been consistently #4 in bounty until post WCI where he was #3, and now he's back to #4. You could argue he was #5 in between the time Luffy declared himself Jinbe's captain at the end of WCI and when Sanji got his post WCI bounty. -When he got his first bounty of 77 mil he was behind Luffy, Zoro, and Robin (80 mil) -When he got his second bounty of 177 mil he was behind Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp (200 mil) -During the end of WCI Jinbe joined meaning he was behind Luffy, Jinbe (438 mil), Zoro, and Usopp. -When he got his 3rd bounty of 330 mil he was behind Luffy and Jinbe. -Now with his 4th bounty of 1.032 bil he's behind Luffy, Zoro, and Jinbe.
I think Luffy is considered a Yonko because of his active fleet, and supposed territories. Yonko candidacy would boil down to influence and reputation, and Luffy surely has Law and Kid beat.
I didn’t think of that until this video. You can be strong or have a huge bounty, but you need subordinates and influence to be an emperor. Like a rich person isn’t automatically a king.
@@lax4860 Luffy beat Kaido ( with the highest active bounty at that point in the story), Big Mom was defeated by two pirates Law and Kidd, Luffy also has a Fleet of ships and pirates all working " in his name" kinda like Whitebeard's allies fleet. Plus the various Island Luffy has liberated and called his territory. Law and Kidd do not have any fleet nor a territory. Luffy has more influence and infamy: Enies Lobby, Marine Ford battle of the best, and impel down escape comes to mind. His lineage as Dragon' s son doesn't help, nor the fact he has either been allied with or defeated most of the warlords, and that's just the things the public would know. No one knows he has the Nika Nika fruit and the world government damn sure won't announce it, or give any indication of it by giving him a bounty with the fruit factored in.
So happy Boa Hancock’s bounty is so high as well! I’ve always thought she was one of the most dangerous and important characters in the series: She is considered the most beautiful woman in the world and her devil fruit has the ability to instantly stop like 95% of the people in the world in their tracks.
I believe Boa Hancock is a going to be very important character in the future. Oda had her in mind since the beginning of One Piece. Oda even drew nami in both robin outfits and boa Hancocks outfit in loguetown, before they were introduced.
You know what? Thinking back to Crocodile, I don't believe he ever gave up on his dream. What do all Yonko have in common? A vast network of lower level pirates, and a large territory. He had already amassed a large following and was in the middle of acquiring a large territory, while also having a built in advantage because of the sheer amount of sand. He was in the middle of building his own way to becoming a Yonko.
was... before luffy kicked his shit in. lol. Nah but fr i think you've got a strong point here. I love that Oda gives crocodile another shot, i've seen countless people shitting on croc for being beat by luffy without haki even though, someone had to move the plot along as an enemy for luffy
Nah, there are a ton of pirates that do not aim that high. Even though Roger started the golden age of piracy by revealing the One Piece's existence not everyone is trying to achieve this goal. Buggy is all about treasure Mihawk only wants to fight a worthy opponent Kuro wanted to settle down Whitebeard wanted a family Hancock tries to protect her island and tribe The sun pirates wanted equality Foxy is all about stupid games Arlong wanted revenge on humans Bartolomeo just wanted to meet luffy Cavendish only wanted revenge on the worst gen Van der Decken was just a creep i guess And Wapol became a pirate out of cowardness Just to name a few.
@crackhead5238 I like how you named the exceptions... When the grand mayority are following or wanting to follow in Rogers footsteps... Pretty much anyone in the new world has that ambition...
Fun Fact Oda actually changed the strawhat family definitions. It went from Franky being the dad to Franky now being the Grandma and Jinbe being the dad.
Shanks worth over 4 billion and Mihawk is 3 and a half billion gives us an idea about how close they are. Mihawk isn’t the boss of the cross guild so that’s why it’s lower
In a 1v1, I see Mihawk winning. Shank's Haki is more than likely stronger than Mihawk but Shanks is still missing an arm, that would put him at a disadvantage against Mihawk who will have a 1up in Sword Play. A Fight between them now, would be similar to the clash between Whitebeard and Roger in the past. Which is still a clash One Piece has it to top since.
Tekking should already know that the bounties are "married" with the person having them i mean that only death will make a bounty void so yeah Marco's bounty is totally in effect just like Reyleigh's bounty is in effect, retirement means absolutely nothing to the marines.
Death won't technically void a bounty tho, DEAD or alive. Probably a way to try and get people that are not bounty hunters turning corpses in , and getting the government more potential devil fruits . Or maybe more reputation since DF reincarnate soon after death.
Garp actually specifically mentioned busting up mountains in preparation for his fight with Don Chinjao. Rather than there needing to be something lost, I'm pretty sure the trope everyone is thinking of is the mentor death one. Not to mention, if Garp beats up Blackbeard here, who will Luffy fight at the end?
OK, can we just imagine how epic it would be if Garp actually won. Idk how the story would progress afterwards, maybe we fight rocks and the remamnants of the Blackbeards
Ever since they were introduced, I can’t help but think of Im Sama as the final obstacle Luffy and his crew will have to overcome on their path to true freedom.
So the difference in strength between Jimbei and Zoro is 1 Machvise Boa could increase the defences of Amazon Lily by declaring it a territory of the Straw Hats. Thereby making it risky for the marines to attack for fear of reprisals from a Yonko.
If garp seems stronger than Blackbeard it will make Blackbeard not remotely threatening as a final villain but if BB beats Garp and especially kills him (like a certain frog sage ninja) it would make him so much more threatening and make luffy hate him so much more also I dont think garp really has anything else to do in the story so i dont think him dying would matter much
Of course, Crocodile went for quality over quantity and got Buggy's help. Also, I wonder if inflation exists in One Piece? That would explain some of the earlier Shichibukai bounties. That would also let Luffy get the predicted 5.5B bounty while still keeping Roger's bounty the highest in the series when adjusted for inflation.
Imagine Garp coming up on Blackbeard, and Blackbeard is still fighting Law... and then the remnants of the Big Mom Pirates also come to rescue Pudding, all at the same time...
That would honestly screw blackbeard. I can image that garp would not attack big mom crew, as they would have common enemy. The power of garp, law, and big mom crew would be to much for him. He might not die, just escape, but still
Bounties are probably assigned now using Crocodile or Shanks as a reference. Which are not the best ones to compare. The ones that are the best are Sanji and Big Mom. Because both Crocodile and Shanks are comparable with Whitebeard, Whitebeard has one of the most unstable popularity.
Law and kid may have huge bounties... but luffy has a 5600 men army, 56 ships, luffy has territories (technically but we might dismiss this one)... he was KNOWN to have spear headed both the attack on big mom and then kaido.... he was the one known to have taken down 3 warlords + one of them abandoned the warlord status and joined luffy as a member of the crew... Also luffy's crew is worth more than Law's and Kid's... Luffy has quite a few more things to consider than both Law and Kid... even if we know in terms of actual strength they are probably not THAT far from each other....
Thoughts. 1. If the Gorosei recognized Luffy's fruit as the one they were after, then I could see them adding it to the list of reasons why he got Yonko status over Kidd and Law. 2. Is it wrong that part of me wants to see Garp arm wrestling Burgess? 3. If Urouge found out about Blackbeard's own devil fruit and his hunt for others, I could see him heading to the Sky Islands to avoid being targeted. I bring that up because this video made me realize that pairing the pain increase of the Yami Yami no mi with another devil fruit that lets the user benefit from pain would be a DEVASTATING combo.
Nothing to do with this video but I want some feedback on my theory. I've been thinking about this a lot since we found out more about devil fruits. So if devil fruits are made if people WILL them to exist and because of this the will of D(evil fruit) is the power to "make" new fruits. The fact that they are the natural enemy's of god also fits with this theory. My questions are that has someone else made this theory and does it makes sense. Sorry for bad grammar I speak english is my third language.
I am pretty sure sanji has constantly been nr.4 in bounty except for the time he was 2nd. Post alabasta he didn’t have one, eneis lobby he was forth behind hind robin, post dressrosa he was forth behind ussop. So I don’t see how now it’s such an uproar that he is nr.4 it literally isn’t new it would be rare if he was something else
Fun fact sanji has never had the 3rd highest bounty. After Ennies lobby it was robin who had 80 million abs sanji had 77 million. Then after dressrosa it was Usopp with 200 million compared to sanjis 177 million
I believe Croco boy was unable to use haki in Alabasta due to Whitebeard breaking his will, as haki is an extension of one's will. He regained it after losing to Luffy, as the belief that having haki would have led to victory (against Luffy) helped him regain his will and therefore his haki.
@Great Peace I mean the vague idea of haki was there, it was just not fleshed out yet. (Shanks using coc in ch1 and Mihawk having a black blade are examples that haki always existed in one piece)
@Great Peace No, the basic vague concept haki was there, I know Oda improvised a lot while writing, no better example than the supernovas, but haki was there from the beginning. Even if we say what Shanks did in chapter 1 was just a shonen trope and Oda fleshed it out later calling it haki, some concepts such as Yoru being a black blade, Zoro using maybe observation haki against Mr.1 can only be explained through haki. I'd say that he he had a basic idea relating to how will power can be used as a power system which he get a better grasp of while he continued writing One Piece. By the time we reached Skypiea, haki already took most of its shape as it is today. There are many things about haki that we are still getting info about like how a strong haki can nullify even the most broken devil fruits like Law's. So, yeah, Oda did improvised a lot but the concept was already there.
@Great Peace IDK man, Alabasta and Skypeia are back to back arcs, and skypeia did had mantra which is essentially observation haki, so saying what zoro used was the initial idea of haki doesn't seem very far fetched from the truth
Shanks is going to be the king of the pirates, he said he was going to claim it not go after it, than the straw hats will have to defeat them. that will also prove that Luffy did get a crew stronger than shank's like he said he would.
I've read on twitter that zoro's bounty is referring to his birthday? because his bday is on 11.11 and his bounty is 1.111 also sanji's too. because his bday is on 3.2 and his bounty is 1.032 it's an Oda thing
A lot of the times you’re filming with a busy day ahead or in the middle of a busy day, so I’m wondering what a day in the life of Tekking is like. Make a day in the life video😈
blackbeard scarring shanks might not be as big a deal as it seems cuz shanks got that scar between the ages of 15 and 27 (he was 15 at rogers execution and didnt have it, then 27 when he met luffy and had the scar) and he didnt even become a yonko till he was 33 so he could of been pretty weak when it happened, totally possible he didnt even have haki yet
This is inconsistent tho because we know in this time period Shanks was having duels with Mihawk so Shanks was probably as strong or stronger than he is rn.
@@m2moses906 shanks vs mihawk were more recent things to him meeting luffy, so unless BB scarred him close to the time he met luffy then it wouldnt be inconsistent to imply shanks was weak when BB scarred him
@@m2moses906 not really could of just happened before he started dueling mihawk since theirs no specific age we know for sure when they started doing that and its not like mihawk has always been the worlds strongest swordsman he was weaker at some point to. its a 12 year time period he wasnt dueling mihawk for the entire 12 years might of only been the last 4-5 years for all we know more than enough time to learn and master haki luffy did it in less than 3 years afterall
@@KuroKaizer Well your time-lime is a bit off, as we can narrow it down a bit more now. He didn't have the scar when Uta was a baby, so it was sometime after finding her. (After the age of 20-21.) I think it's very unlikely he was "pretty weak" and didn't have even have haki at that point.
wasnt there a point when Usopp's bounty was higher than either sanji, zoro or both? also for a while there Robin's was higher than both sanji and zoro...then as soon as jinbei joined he was already secont... so sanji and zoro fighting for the second and third was not as "common" as we might think...
Usopp was once higher in bounty than Sanji, right after Dressrosa, Sanji was 177 million and Usopp was 200 million. But yeah Usopp did way more in Dressrosa than Sanji obviously.
I mean... not that sanji and zoro aren't obviously competitive about their bounties whenever they are increased... but somehow it does give the impresion that they have always been fighting for the 2nd and 3rd but they have rarely been both 2nd and 3rd at the same time...
I'm with tekking. Garp punches BB and accidentally ends the series, destroys the red line, and unsinks the Laugh Tale, launching the one piece to the moon, killing Enel.
I always figured luffy got the emperor status over the other 2 because the straw hats have a larger bounty per person compared to the others. As in the government picked the most dangerous crew of the 3.
I don't think it's because of the bounties exactly. Pretty sure it's because Luffy has his own territories + an army, which is something all Yonko have. (And that Kid and Law lack.)
@@pepsi-4275 True, bounties are only an estimate of a pirate's threat not an absolute statement. At that same time, it should be noted that pirates are at times given certain bounties for reasons other than their strength. Having said that, it is true that the Strawhats are unique in that they all have a bounty.
it was already explained that the kuja pirate meaning their overall strength as a crew earned boa the 80 million bounty. the bounty increase she got was all from her own strength and nothing else. if her crew was a reason her bounty increase in size then her bounty wouldn't have been frozen at 80 million at the start.
yea one thing is for sure in my eyes is that being an emperor is the world government acknowledging that your a world power meaning you have an army sized fleet and you hold territory makes complete sense that mihawk along with anyone else with current higher bounties arent considered emperors
Something just occurred to me; Blackbeard has never been confirmed to have Conqueror's haki. That's kind of a big deal if he's likely the final villain of the series.
19:42 This reminds me of how in Toriko you had the Eight Kings of the Gourmet World but you also had other Monsters who were just as powerful and had equal amounts of Capture Levels but they weren’t considered Kings.
@@komiks42 I suggest reading the manga. The anime ends right before part 2 of the story. Overall, I highly recommend it if you love One Piece. It’s one of the few manga that I would argue rivals One Piece in terms of world building and adventuring. The only thing is that the manga ended up getting axed for someone reason so the ending is a bit rushed, but I would still check it out. Great Experience.
Tekking, with all due respect, I think you are underestimating Blackbeard a little. He was able to scar a 27 year old shanks, who had a $1BILL Bounty at the time, with no DF. And shanks of course said he was on guard. That is a massive feat, and has had the biggest power ups in the series with the strongest logia and a DF that can literally destroy the world. Even Rayleigh said he would have no chance at all to win. Literally. Like Rayleigh knew he wouldn’t even have been close. So how would Garp beat BB? Maybe a Prime Garp, but BB just has to much power rn. To me, Blackbeard is the most underrated character in the series.
Hey @Tekking101 since Queen got his juices sucked out by Green Bull and we recently saw a skinny Queen in the cover story, do you think we'll see skinny Queen in the future of the story like how Shinobu was revitalise to her sexy state?
What if Beehive turns out to be reverse-Marineford? With the main difference being that Koby probably survives. An old legend widely reputed to be the strongest comes to rescue a youngster he took under his wing. To do this, he attacks the greatest stronghold of the enemy...and wreaks complete havoc. However, even as he shows why his reputation is so formidable, his old age has caught up with him, and eventually he falls.
I love the idea of a dyson sphere, if you combine it with the hollow earth theory (Agartha)it would make sense, you just cant see it, but its there. My thought is that the one piece world is the Dyson sphere, and the sun is at the center of the one piece world, inside it, at its core (cosmic egg theory which is surrounded by a snake and when it hatches its a sun/sun god). The one piece world would be the egg, red line Jormangander, and the sun inside the planet would be the sun inside the egg, maybe made of aether or dreams. In the hollow earth theory there is a sun or geothermal source like Vega Punk talked about. It would also be surrounded by a ring or the redline/maybe grandline. Dyson spheres models have some in multiple spheres each spins at varying speeds causing variances in electromagnetic fields, which sounds like the navigation problem and crazy storms in the one piece world. All the universal models of one piece world are geocentric not helio, which makes sense in the hollow earth theory due to sun at center of planet. If true this would explain the sun tree eve's power source which is the sun, but if this theory is true, then the eve tree would be absorbing an transferring light from the center of the planet to fishman island and out to the top of eve tree. It along with sabody trees seem to breathe shown by the resin bubbles which could also spreed its particles out to rest of the one piece world, making the breath/voice of all things that connect the world together, maybe haki observation. Enies lobby might also be explained if the hole goes down to this sun which would make sense why it is always daylight there.
Luffy being Yonko over Kidd and law always made sense to me, the heart pirates are complete nobodies outside of law, as far as the WG cares. And Kidd has killer who can’t even hang with Zoro, or Jimbei/ sanji for that matter. Plus Law and Kidd haven’t targeted or declared war against the marines. They’re dangerous, fine, but they don’t present the chaotic threat to the marines that the strawhats do. Strawhats are a much stronger crew given their starting 5 which ends with a very dangerous Robin since she can read poneglyphs. Plus unless all of the WG is brain dead they know ussop is the son of Yassop, that’s no secret and probably counts for something at least. Plus Luffy comes from a dangerous active family in dragon and even though Garp is a marine, he still hates the celestial dragons. Cherry on top is the nika fruit and Shanks’ hat, Luffy is absolutely a bigger WG threat
See kid you could make the argument for as a yonko because he actually has a yonko level crew but law laws crew is basically just law and some friends.
Garp is a badass and i know that he would wipe the floor with BB BUT the one thing that has me worried is that Oda might try to tug on our heartstrings and give luffy some 'character development' by killing his grandpa now. I definitely hope that doesnt happen but we'll see.
Big Mom and Kaido are alive and we’re recovered by Big Mom’s ship. Remember when Oda drew a whole page showing a RANDOM VOLCANO FORMING AND GOING OFF OFF THE COAST OF WANO? And not to mention he showed a fucking DIAGRAM of where they were in relation to Wano and the Volcano. He gave them an escape but they’re beaten, probably maimed, and never coming back to 100%
Honestly the only way a dirty trick is going to work on GARP is if they screw with his emotions like bringing up Ace or attempted to kill Kobe in the midst of finishing off Blackbeard because even though group is really strong he has gotten old and he has a lot of weaknesses more than when he was younger but do I think they can kill him that man would 100% kill or severely wound one of Blackbeard's members before before he went down but there is a possibility that he would get severely wounded to the point where he has to retire but either death or retirement he's definitely not going to leave that Island without Kobe or severely weakening the Blackbeard pirates
ehm that's not true about snji, the guy had 4 wanted posters after enies lobby. All the way to Dresroossaa, Robin Top 3. From Dressroza to Whokake Island.. Sanji in 4th place and Usopp in the Top 3 Sanji was only in the Top 3 of the Straw Hats when he surpassed Zoro by 10 million Then Zoro was in fourth place. And now after WANO Sanji drops out of the Top 3 again to his TRADITIONAL fourth place. Zoro in Top 3 and Sanji in 4th place. The reason for the absence of Sanji in order: Robin, Usop, Jinbey
Well, we'll definitely see how Oda draws a Nine Tailed Demon Fox, when Garp arrives to the Beehive. I wonder who Katurina Devon will disguise as when Garp gets there
I'm watching the anime right now and just finished Dressrosa and I remember that Garp said he was punching eight mountains to train against don chinjao's drill head causing don to hate Luffy.
Honestly, it's surprising that Kidd's bounty is the same as Luffy's and Law's because Luffy and Law have things going for them besides what happened in Wano. Like Luffy has the Strawhat Grand Fleet and has been more of an open threat to the World Government, and Law has one of the most sought after Devil Fruits and is a former Warlord. But Kidd, is just... very aggressive and unreasonable. This sounds like a diss against Kidd, but it shows that Kidd is super strong.
As I’m watching this it got me thinking. Whole cake and end of wano was what a few weeks maybe a month apart in time line right? So the government gives Luffy this crazy bounty increase after whole cake and then just a few weeks later they are like “awww crap” and have to take down the old posters and put up updated ones
What if the yami yami no mi can nullify BOTH haki and devil fruit. For example ace, we know that ace has 3 haki and a good user of it and if we count the novel he has future sight but what if ace and blackbeard didn't aware back then that the yami yami no mi can nullify haki, that's why he'd damage ace (i know oda didn't plan to show haki back then) and the yami yami no mi also can store other user's soul who ate this fruit before when they're die, that's why blackbeard is able to get 2 devil fruits because there's 2 souls in it, we don't know who's the past user of yami yami no mi but if that's the case then this fruit will be the 2nd most powerful fruit in the series, and it's fit in desires and willpower thing happening in the series because Blackbeard will represent the desires of humans to become more powerful and luffy represents the willpower or hope of humans
@@Bruh-vm8hq yeah bro I know, but the (what if) is still irrelevant because we know that the yami yami can’t nullify haki. Simply just devil fruits so it’s hard to see how things would go the other way
I am pretty sure that if Rayleigh knows he wouldn't be able to beat Blackbeard... Garp will not either... even if we say garp is stronger than Rayleigh... Garp also HAS to have had his strength decline compares to his days fighting Roger... I will even take it that he might still be slightly stronger than Blackbeard... but he won't beat his crew in his own territory without actual real back up... not saying he will die or fail to save coby... but he most definitely won't beat black bear in a straight up one on one fight...
I think the monster trio changed but not in the way people think. The new monster trio is Zoro, Sanji and Jimbei, wuth Luffy being so far and above the 3 of them. The monster trio are Luffy's sweet commanders, or his calamities.
