It’s worth mentioning that Trent Richardson is also an executive in the Mexican league and has been very helpful instrumental in getting it off the ground at all, and he left the CFL voluntarily as being in the AAF let him be closer to his young family. The guy may have been an nfl bust, but you have to credit him for not giving up and finding a way to stay involved in both football and his kids lives. Flemlo Raps has a great video on Richardson

Blackmon will forever be one of the great mysteries to me in NFL history. He certainly looked the part when he was on the field talent wise. And I think he's a great example why Jacksonville has struggled so much in our era. All the talent in the world doesn't mean a thing if he cant stay on the field. For awhile, I truly feared the worst for him because the only stories you'd hear was "last seen a bar in x state x months ago and not seen since."" KTO day is a good day. Especially when it's early morning (here in Sydney) --- while that would be the end of mu usual commenting, gotta say: FlemoLo did an awesome piece on Blackmon. Personally, Oklahoma State, Jax Jags -- had no relation to me a 49ers fan and just general NCAAF, but the way he played, size, presence and confidence, I was quite excited. -- while I read Julio and Megatron comparisons, I really believed we should some kind of hybrid(?) variation (?) Oof Terrell Owens, a bit of a Fitz lite with some pretty catches with those hands. Yeah, he was gonna need some guidance and mentorship as a human being -- can't remember if Jax brought in any veteran to do that. Well, obviously, didnt work out. But also, while such off the field issues it's easy to blame the player directly (and usually not exactly an incorrect answer), FlemoLo laid it pretty well -- he can't be expected to shoulder all the blame. Never really had someone to get him going along properly. People probably took advantage of his athletic prowess left and right. Those types never really go THAT big, but seeing as this a very rare, top 5 WR pick, also indicates how special he actually one. Yeah, we have what could've been every single, but I remember this one stinging even more than before after watching his story after "cue the Wayne".

Trent Richardson’s college highlights are ridiculous. I remember following his high school career after he committed to Alabama. Almost everyone thought he should’ve been a top 15 pick. No one could tackle that dude.

Yeah he showed some flashes. He had that huge 240 yard game. He just couldn't put the sauce down.

You make it seem like it wasn't his fault, like he had injuries or something. His downfall was his own fault.

@@encycl07pedia- didn’t mean to come across that way at all, his problem was definitely his choice to control. Just a what if I always thought of, same with Josh Gordon to a certain degree.

@@darieljavier5560 Thank you for clarifying. It read to me as the difference between "the ball was dropped" and "the WR dropped the ball." One is neutral, the other assigns responsibility to the WR.

Getting picked by the Browns 3rd overall must feel like the strangest gut punch ever. You're a star which feels great... so the most hopeless franchise selected you to messiah them out of irrelevance. Yay, go Cleveland!

Crazy what having no injuries and confidence can do to a player (Gilmore) compared to Andrew luck and RG3 who obviously had inures and someone like Tannehill who seemed to have lacked confidence most of his career

Using Trent's YPC doesn't paint the picture. He missed training camp in '12 and '13 for knee surgeries that the Browns GREATLY downplayed. He had a very slow start and eventually hit his stride before his reported "bruised" ribs turned into cracked ribs. He was certainly a raw prospect as a RB but he flashed a lot of potential in 2012 and excelled in the receiving game.

Does Kuechly go into Canton? Played 8 seasons. NFL Defensive ROY. Defensive POY. 5 time 1st Team All-Pro, 2 time 2nd team All Pro. 7 time Pro Bowler. Led his team to a Super Bowl. That doesn't even go into all of his college accolades which are many. The closest player to Kuechly in terms of impact as well as overall career is Dick Butkis, a player whose career also was cut down very early (he played 9 seasons). I think it's a no-brainer. Kuechly goes into Canton but can also be considered as one of the best if not THE BEST inside linebackers of all time.
