UPDATED for 2022!!! Please download the latest project here www.colorgradingcentral.com/premiere-pro-transitions-top-10-for-free/ Now supporting more aspect ratios. We recommend having Premiere Pro 2022 or later. We cannot offer support on older versions and this is a free product.
It's very easy not to notice these effects when you're watching a video but seeing them like this in this video it's amazing how much of an impact they really have on our perception.
You can save yourself a few steps in this process. In the timeline window, top left, is a button which toggles the overwrite option between sequence or clips. Switch it off and you can overwrite (or drag if you prefer) directly from the browser. One move instead of many.
To solve the issue of upside-down video during the transition. Restarting didn't help me. To solve this. I just clicked on the bottom adjustment layer and opened the "effect panel" and just toggled off one of the "mirror" options. And it worked. Thank you for this. Subscribed. 👍
The content here never fails to impress! The detailed breakdowns, clear comparisons, and exceptional sound design and storytelling are incredibly valuable. Big thanks for the insightful and well-crafted material!
@@ZenHolisticFitness For premiere pro, it should have the different video and audio layers. ( v1, v2, v2, a1, a2, a3 etc). The v and a icons on the left of the timeline represent those layers. If the icon is highlighted in a bluish color (it could be a different color based on your settings in premier itself), it means that layer is targeted. Click the icon that's highlighted and you should see the blue color disappear, which means that layer is no longer targeted. Let me know if it works out or not.
this is a fantastic video, but I have been having trouble having the transitions to work. Not sure if the files are corrupt or damaged. Is anyone having the same issue
@@andyproduction5877 do you have an older version of premiere? I think mines the 2017 version. I ended up just finding a different youtubers effects and they are p similar
First off, sick transitions. Super helpful and glad this content is out here. Quick question: I'm editing vertical videos (and am new to Premiere Pro), any help with adjusting these for vertical vids?
This was extremely helpful in both saving time and simple to use. Cheers, For those who expreience a "media Pending" error when rendering in to out, What I did was set the render in to out to the exact start/end of the adjustment layers and that seemed to fix the problem.
I'm getting a black square on playback. I was hoping to compare before exporting rather than export every transition. What's worse it's still a black square in the export.
Hi, great video and effects, thank you very much!. Is there a chance to use them in tiktok video where the aspect ratio is 9:16 instead of 16:9? Thank you.
I am loving how this channel gives so much good advice. Color Grading has been a great resource to indie filmmakers like myself. The tips offered on this channel saves me a lot of money.
Its not working correctly, i'll follow the video correctly and everytime i copy the transition into my timeline it does the effect but it will make it in a little box on the bottom right hand corner of the view? Anyone have any suggestions i will be greatly apprecited?
You need to select the layer you want them to paste on. As you can see, he has only selected the second video track so any video imported will be put on that track. Another way is to lock the layers below.
Every single one I use has a problem. Most of them flip the image upside down first so the transition looks odd. Others, such as zooms, the effect alters the position of the frame so I get loads of empty black space. Still it seems to work for everybody else!
@Color Grading Central @colorgradingcentral These transitions in the new file are extremely broken. A lot of people have commented this. Please can you fix them sir, that would be greatly appreciated
Hey! amazing video thanks for the transitions!! but for some reason there's a black screen. I turned the opacity of the bottom adjustment layer to 0 but that just makes the transition look weird and choppy. Does anyone have a solution??
any ideas why the zoom in transition may be flipping things 180 and zooming from a weird anchor? re-downloaded as I thought I'd done something wrong, have even restarted and deleted the transition to apply fresh, but it still does the same thing and it's not seamless whatsoever, just looks awkward zooming from bottom right of an upside down clip...
Fantastic stuff. I am just experiencing one issue. When I place the adjustment layer on top of the cut in my edit the screen goes black. Any solution to this please?
Thank you for this! They’re awesome! For some reason they’re not displaying correctly for me? I downloaded the latest version for my Premier Pro 2020. Is there perhaps specific settings I need to have set? I also reinstalled my Premier Pro so that the preferences were reset - but still not working :/ The top right layer seems to be flipping the video below it upside down.
I found something. When using the software decoding (in the settings) the transitions don't display properly. When I switch to hardware decoding (OpenCL for my case) the transition works fine. I don't know why. But that's what it did for me.
@@Laststock absolutely man you right... it should switch to the hardware decoding mode which the info is decoded by the GPU not the CPU But you need at least an Intel HD 5000 GPU to do that . go to the link below to know more helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/gpu-acceleration-and-hardware-encoding.html
How do I make it fit a 4k workflow? Only a small portion of the screen takes the effect in the video, I am assuming these are meant for 1080p so I am wondering how to make it work for 4k.
I'm new to Premiere and was trying to resolve this issue myself. You've got to make sure to enable the video track above the actual footage for the insert to be placed above the video that way it doesn't override your movie
I don't know why but it doesn't work for me :( When I paste it above the clip, it gets just black during the suppose transition. Can someone help me please?
Hello, am Vince from Uganda and film making is my passion. I wanted to learn more on how to make short documentary videos even when I have a lot of footage
Hi, Thank you for sharing this amazing tutorial and transitions. Although it seems to be very easy to use, I am facing some problems while applying (side effects of being a newbie :D). I am scaling the adjustment layers to 200% to fit my video and the effects becoming decentered, leaving a portion of the screen black. I am unable to understand which parameters to tweak. Can you please help me? Thanks in advance.
@@Lifesacartoon_ If you open or the zip you'll see 2 files so when you extract the zip and you'll see a file named CGC_Premiere_Pro_Transitions_10_Pack open that there will be 2 one of them is __MACOSX and the other is CGC_Premiere_Pro_Transitions_10_Pack you import the Premiere file to your project and by clicking the file called CGC_Premiere_Pro_Transitions_10_Pack file you'll see the premier file which is called CGC Premiere Pro Transitions HD UHD Compatible
I've always enjoyed your channel. This is very informative. I also love the shake transition and how you can create an illusion of a continuous shot. Thank you for sharing this.
only effect from these working for me is shake. Everything else makes app crash and/or is upside down. for some effects only first part is working normaly and when movng onto second clip it shows upside down and different effect. Tried working by your text file in download but that does not help me in any way sadly :(
I'm trying to get these to work with 60fps gaming footage, but it seems like the transitions are designed for 24fps irl footage. They work, but do you think there's a way I could adjust them to match 60fps?
The transitions are just a "black box" and gives a black box as a result? Also - there are five (5) folders imported - not 1 as in your video. I've tried them all and they only give me a black box result 😢 Edit: I got it to work! Instead of dragging and dropping - just double click the transitions and it should work fine! ❤ Edit 2: On Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 - as today - the transitions doesn't look good. It is transitions but they don't blend with the picture at all. Too bad. Tried it with all 5 different folders thata were imported. Hope it works better for someone else!
For some reason, when I use the pan transitions, my footage flips upside down during the transition. can anyone help me? Also Whenever i use the Chromatic Transition, the red green and blue don’t go out of sync and instead only get the blur affect.
Very nice transitions but one question: If I want create my film in other dimensions than the 1920x1080 the transitions don't work no more. Is there an easy way to adjust them?
Great tips! Love the video, wondering if anyone could help me with a slight problem, whenever I apply the adjustment layer to the video it flips all of my footage upside down and I can't rotate it back. Thanks again!
@@colorgradingcentral thanks for the reply! even after following the troubleshooting guidelines I’ve been unable to reverse the inverted footage, could it be because I’m using premiere 2021?
@@theodebono They should work on any version of Premiere from 2018 onwards. I'm using them in Premiere 2022 without any issues. Make sure you are using the right resolution, there are HD (1080p) and UHD versions. Other resolutions or aspect ratios are not supported.
@Color Grading Central do the transitions work for Premiere Pro 2022? i open the file and see that each transition has 4 layers instead of the 3 seen in your video. Also after rendering, the transitions just go to black and do not function. Any help or an updated version would be appreciated...and yes I already reviewed the troubleshoot document that came with it
For everyone having trouble with adding a transition after color grading with an adjustment layer on top (for multiple clips), just rename the default "Adjustment Layer" you are using for color grade/vignette/overall montage effect and name it something else! This fixed all my transitions issues! You're welcome :)
I found out how to do it, you need to double click the transition, it will take you to its adjustment layers, copy the layers, then paste them above your videos, do exactly what he does in the video, dont take the transition from the bin to the sequence, it wont work that way, hope this helped.
Hey, so I had the same problem but it was because I missed a step. Make sure you are opening the sequence of the effect that you want and copying the adjustment layers. Then paste it on your main sequence and render.
