We are loving early retirement and living a simpler life travelling as much as we can. Certain apps make life so much easier and more entertaining when out and about on our adventures. In no particular order, we take you through the Apps that really add value to our early retired life.
We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 just over a year ago. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.

My top apps are all musical 🎶 as I’ve been learning to play Saxophone 🎷 plus RU-vid and Trainline and travel apps….

Press reader app allows you to read or download newspapers and magazines for free all you need is to sign in with your library card number and library pin which allows 30 days use then repeat as required.

Thanks for the recommendation- I will have a look. I am not sure where our local library is as many of the rural ones have gone and I use a little book exchange shed in our village! 📕

Merlin app for identifying birds. Very useful when out and about

My most used apps are Tides near me, great for checking tides for swimming. Sky View Lite, checking out the stars and planets in the night sky and PhotoPills, a one off payment but invaluable as a sunrise and sunset photographer showing you times and placements of the sun and the moon for that perfect picture. Love your videos or are they vlogs🤷‍♀️ and am living vicariously through them until I can retire 🤣🤣

Hi we both have a Garmin instinct watch - a basic non solar one. They are about 4 years old but the current models look similar - we love them ⌚️ thanks for watching our channel x
