As a former dwarf Gourami owner, I would 100% not recommend. They are fantastic. Beautiful fish, but we didn't know that nearly 80% of all of the gouramis for sale on the market have a genetic non-curable disease called dwarf gourami disease, meaning that most of them will die in 6 to 8 months, ours only lasted about 3 months before passing away. It's very sad and there's nothing that you can do for them except watch them slowly pass away. If you look it up online, many people who have owned them in the past have sworn off the species due to terrible breeding habits coming from China, which has led to the vast majority of these fish dying very quickly
Oh wow. Thank you for letting me know. I’ll look it up and probably get a video done on it in the future. I figured there are domestically bred breed people can shop for instead

I know they're technically glo-fish but give a try to classic black skirt tetra, such a cool pint size piranha. My favorite tetra combo is a group of black skirt and a big group of smaller lemon or ghost tetras, they really get predatory when you feed live. Throw in a bunch of cherry barbs to get a little colony and watch the 55 gallon blow up at feed time.
Overall, this video is a fun and informative watch for anyone interested in freshwater fish. It's a great way to discover new and exciting species to add to your collection, or simply to appreciate the beauty of these amazing creatures.
This video was actually very informative, but there's so many species of fishes along with color variations that it's utterly impossible to talk about them all . And selecting which one to keep is very hard. Discus are very difficult to keep, but poor man's discus or the severum is not at all difficult. I've been watching your videos for quite a long time and all of them are informative without making the video too long, just enough information. Best of luck and hope to see more in future
What's the size of the tank? I have a video on betta tank mates you can check out - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9Xi1DSq1i6k.html. Various types of schooling fish will work. Corydoras work really well.
I want a cutthroat trout and a brook trout. I know I'll need a big tank, and chilled water. It would probably also be good to have a power head on the filter, and it will probably be best not to keep any other fish in the tank with them. Is there anything else I should know about keeping these two trout species?
Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Trouts. You might want to check out MonsterFishKeepers (it's a forum) for fish like this. They will cover large and out of the box fish like these.
