Good Video.....Safety First!!...and when I first started climbing, I made all of these mistakes (except the saw, I had one that was part of a deer cleaning kit). PRACTICE!! That's what got me better, and sometimes I still get the Leveling wrong. Two Things with that; 1) One time I wanted go about 15ft up, but I leveled out at 10ft. I stopped there and 40 minutes later I harvested a 6 pointer; 2) If something doesn't feel right or you just aren't level at the height you want, come back down the tree. One time, lol, I came down the tree 3 times, I just knew I wouldn't see anything. A little over an hour went by, a 10 point buck steps out about 80 yds away, and heads straight for me. got in to about 20 yds. Be safe, take your time, no deer is more important than you. Just thought I'd offer my two cents to help someone.... Good hunting this season!!
I appreciate the importance of this topic. But the points made seemed almost senseless. It left me wondering who you're trying to reach, if they have any common sense whatsoever. Maybe it's actually that bad. If so, Lord God have mercy on climbers.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. If the info was common sense to you then you are an outliner in our society. As you can tell from the video, it was intended for people new to using a climber.
