My favorite shrine quest has got to be the one featuring the little rainbow birds. You help to get all of the sisters to regroup to practice on an old song and use that same old song to make the shrine come out, making the sisters to be in joy and that ending cutscene of that shring quest was one of the most cutest things I ever saw.
Epic Benji plays yeye, the Rito shrine quest. That and how whenever you visit Rito Village again, you'd see the bird sisters singing at a balcony. Bonus if you got Kass to come back home and play his accordion along with his daughters.
If you talk to one of those Rito girls afterwards, one of them will actually offer you something if you beat every shrine in the game, but when you go back and talk to her she only gives you appreciation. I fell for that.
I never understood that one. Lynels and certain Taluses are the most difficult to defeat. They really should have been mini boss enemies. I think it’s because they couldn’t make lynels big like the other mini bosses.
Emma RooRoo i just have problems with the ones that have their weak point low on their back because I am bad at fighting so I shoot it from a distance and then beat on the point when it’s flopped down.
okay. i got smth to say. on the naydra quest i ran out of arrows and there was one malice eye left. i took out my forked lizal boomerang and, with perfect timing, did a finisher on the last eye. but THEN i had to shoot naydra again, so i threw my boomerang. i felt accomplished.
Awesome … Reminds me of when I was fighting Bongo Bongo in OoT and I had to be really resourceful because stupidly, both my arrows and my magic meter ran out mid-fight. As a last-ditch effort, I used my hookshot instead of arrows, and since I couldn't use the Lens of Truth to see the boss when it was invisible I had to GUESS where it was … Luckily, I guessed right!!! That might have been my proudest boss victory in a Zelda game ever.
I ran out of arrows too, but had to use Master Sword sword beams. That was a challenge. I don't think I won the first time but did it again, had to use beams AGAIN, and won. That was lucky
When I did flown the coop I got all of the cuccos except one and I gave up on looking for it and instead just got to the nearest horse register inn thing and I grabed a cucco and walked all the way back to the farm and it worked.
DJ BR0SK1 LEGO yaes I got the game 1 month ago and uh I was on ep 48 of zackscottgames botw before I got it so you would expect that I know a lot of things about this game
I cant be the only one who doesn't want to finish the game. Its not that I hate it, its that I love the game too much to just let it all go. I have literally done EVERYTHING except for 4 things. 1. Get all the special items/clothes from amiibo, 2. Upgrade all my clothes (im working on it) and 3. Get all korok seeds (I am currently at 738 or something) and 4. Get the expansion pack. Apart from that, you name it, I have done it. After that, all I have to do is kill ganon.
SASQUATCH 101 Let's be honest. There really isn't any such thing as "completing" a Zelda game. Because after you beat Ganon you go back to the last save spot before you beat him.
Ritsuka450 what do you mean "last save spot". So after killing ganon I just leave the castle again? I thought maybe, since the castle is free from ganon I can just chill out by the castle. So after killing ganon. You can't enter hyrule castle again...
Newb Playz Something The only time the game removes the invisible "kill zone" from around the great plateau is when you get the paraglider, which you get by clearing the 4 shrines there
One of my favorites is when Kass gives you the quest to attract lightning to a stump on top of a mountain! It was in faron and it was always raining at the time so it was a challenge to reach the top! You also had to fight a Lynel!
DizzyKB YES. I spent a good twenty minutes trying stuff to get the orb to the platform in the sea and gave up. Then I died a few times and figured I'd come back later. Then, I saw a video of a guy getting super stuck at the same puzzle and suddenly he starting screaming about how stupid he was and duhh it's cryonis! And I felt VERY dumb. But yeah, this happened to me with quite a few puzzles, this is impossible! Oh yeah, cryonis is a thing... 😅
Eric Stearns first I was terrified of the Akkala labyrinth but once you realise you just need to climb the walls and recognise the scheme of the flying guardians it's just as easy as the other ones. I'd rate the one in Hebra better because of the way to the shrine. All those annoying horse riding bokblins + 2 lynels are rough!
I loved the Goron Shrine quest. Where you have to sit in a kinda, “hot room” except it’s on a hot pan and you have to get past two of those. The second one is apparently worse. The Gorons have always been my favorite.
I thought I was smart by going on the ribs and spamming remote bombs until it died but I didnt know you could steal it on its belly. Well, I got Hinox guts.
WHOAman Haha! I took out the camp at the top of the mountain, threw Round Remote Bombs down at the Hinox as it bumbled up said mountain, then climbed part way down to hide from it. Rinsed and repeated. The Forest Korok(s) kept taking me by surprise though as I moved onto the next orb.
WHOAman Easiest way to kill a hinox is to run it over with the giant horse a million times while attacking from horseback. I’ve killed many hinoxes that way and I’m pretty sure my horse hates me for it
Remember the very narrow path with the Big Hearty Radish? I went for that and a chuchu appeared. I killed it, but I accidentally sliced some flowers because of how narrow the path was. So yeah 😂
I loved all of these except for the Eventide shrine quest. I found it pretty early on in my first playthrough and it stressed me out so much so I traveled away from there. I only went back when I had fifteen hearts and all the rings of stamina 😅
Laura DeCaprio I actually haven't completed Eventide yet, even though I've beaten the game 🙈 Same reason, I found it too soon, died a bunch and said "I'll do this later" and haven't gotten around to it
That's the way I did it. I didn't even think of using a snowball. But you have to put it in kind of crooked otherwise the shadow won't reach the pedestal.
No typhlo ruins? Its amazing. Searchinh through the dark is so creepy. And the aproach, with seeing the island covered in darkness, on eventide you just see a random island. Finaly the hinox. IT TERRIFIED ME!!! Fighting an enemy in low visibility was terrifing. There is a beta gaurdian in the masterworks book that looks like a chained spider demon with tons of eyes. It would have been even more terrifing.
Typhlo ruins was awesome, agreed. I actually didn't find the hinox until I'd been there for like 45 minutes, so I actually had a pretty good feel for the layout and was able to light all the torches around it first. That, amazingly, was my first hinox
The only ball I had left to do was that one. Unfortunately, I knocked it off the mountain with a bomb. I tried for 15 minutes to try to climb the mountain with the ball, but kept losing it near the top. Just before I was ready to retry the island, I gave one last attempt. What I did was use the wind champion ability to lift the ball into the air, then I froze it with stasis in midair. Then I flew up and, with my very last arrow, shot it. The force was just barely strong enough to knock the ball into the mountain top again. Carried it to the shrine platform, and completed the island. I swear 100% I didn't make any of this up. Most clutch moment I've had so far in Breath of the Wild...
For that 1st shrine, I used cryo. There is a puddle on the edge of the mountain JUST big enough to put a cryo block of ice on. The shadow of it slowly moved to the pedestal when it started glowing & unlocked the shrine
imagine if videos like this didn't explain the quest, but instead just said the names of the quest. "number one; secret of the snowy peaks." and just on and on, only saying the names of the quest.
@#3 I vividly remember just roaming around on my first ever playthrough (of many) and spotting what appeared to be glowing, purple crystals, way off in the distance, and decided to go check it out. That was one of the most exhilarating experiences I'd had up until that point. I had absolutely no idea what it could possibly mean, and as I drew closer it became clear that it was some kind of extremely large monster, as it was clearly making subtle movements. Then, as I got even clearer I inevitably lost sight of it for a while as I was climbing the mountain, not yet having acquired Revali's Gale. Then, as I cleared some peak corner, there it was, a huge mofo dragon!! My first Dragon encounter in the game as well, and a, IMHO, epic quest to boot! I can assure you that the screenshots I took right then will not soon be deleted from my Switch, as they easily recall that feeling whenever I look at them again, even when I now play this game on Master Mode with only 3 hearts, bike and Tunic of the Wild. Utterly majestic.
Shooting Stars I honestly don't understand why people were so butt hurt. I absolutely LOVED that shrine quest from how different it was. And it made me feel like an absolute noob again making me realize how powerless I really was without my weapons. But don't get me wrong, once you get your stuff back.... YOU FEEL LIKE A KING god damn
Shooting Stars i found the hardest part of eventide was the one on the separate island, but i didn't think of cryonis or the tree bridge or anything... i did it the hard way of holding it, stasis immediately, and try to knock it into the island... then the one time i had to reset the whole quest because the orb floated in the ocean beyond eventides limits... other than that, it was really fun and i look forward to trial of the sword
For the Kakariko one, during the investigation portion a blood moon actually activated, which made a lot of characters act even weirder than they already did (two other characters act suspicious to throw you off)- like Lasli will be unable to see you but accuse you of stalking her, that kind of thing. It made the whole investigation a lot more nerve-wracking than I imagine it'd be otherwise.
I have 120 hours in this game and i totally missed that hynox, ive been using the paraglide and teleports too much And only found the dragon when collecting the last of the memories in which zelda mentions that theres this spring of wisdom somewhere on that mount, so i went to check myself, i had played too many shrines already to know how to use updrafts then (and done 3 divine beasts, vah medoh included and i had faced the other 2 dragons enough times to know they drop scales) And i found about eventide island after defeating ganon, with all 4 divine beats, so it ended up being quite easy, using updrafts and thunders, should do it first thing when i start master mode so its challenging
@@sausage6136 ......No theres a spot in the rocks by a cut out a where u can toss them up but its short by a tiny bit what i did was pic up a rock and place it where i could walk up on it and that gave me just the extra height i needed to throw them up there
My favorite was the one with the thunder where you had to put 4 orbs in there pedestals for a shrine to pop out. It's also helpful if you are looking for the rubber set.
The way I got the orb from the hinox in eventide (I surprisingly did the whole challenge in one try): I paraglided down onto his tummy, I threw the orb and then he woke up, so I ran as FAST AS I COULD until he went back to sleep. Then I took the orb quietly and went up the mountain (where I had already killed the monsters). You really don't need to kill the hinox and I was surprised.
the best is the three trees quest where you had to scale the mountain and bomb the entrance of the shrine (If you did that then it's a blessing shrine for your hard work not hard work stuff)
The stolen heirloom is the best in my eyes. It's not a given, one thing and your done. It makes you look around and has a good little backstory. Well thought out.
I know I am a little late in the game, okay a lot late. Been playing BOTW for some time now (got the switch for Christmas (gift for my son😉)), and I am nearly 100%. Just discovered these videos a few weeks ago when searching for tips to finish up. This one has got to be my favorite. Austin (also my son’s name coincidentally) is very quick witted and I enjoy his comments for game play. Thank you for the helpful tips and making them fun and entertaining. Your latest fan.
Bonus: If you talk to the former Yiga clan guard's kid, I think they say that their mom is hiding and he wants to find her. As you might know, the Yiga Clan killed their mother. So Mom isn't hiding and someone is cutting onions here
I swear I hate this shrine quest it took me like 30 minutes and I knew what to do but for some reason it wasn’t working and I realized that it has to be the right size -_-
Excluding eventide, my favourite shrine has got to be the shrouded shrine quest. It’s often forgot about yet it’s so unique and challenging. For those of you who don’t know what I mean, it’s located just north of hyrule forest in a small yet pitch black wood. You have to blindly walk through to find the shrine, encountering enemies such as a hinox on the way. So fun and such a creative idea
If you hard save before the cut scene, drop weapons, you can use them as they stay after the cut scene. The rub is, after completion, anything you drop and use is not returned as you dropped it before the cut off. I fired loads of arrows in the tree and a bunch of weapons that helped. I am sure you have found that out. Thanks for all the help with your videos.
Link: Of course I'll spend the night with you Paya Paya: Yay! 😀😍 Link: How about a roleplay? Paya: Hmm? Link: You'll be Ganon and I'll be me, and seal you away with my 'mastersword' 😉 Paya: Sounds like a plan Linky 😉 *They go upstairs, and Link whips out his master sword* *Paya screams* Paya: LINK WTF THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED *Link Is chasing Paya with the mastersword* Link: COME HERE THOT!! *Paya keeps screaming. Link catches up and slashes Paya with the mastersword* Link: BEGONE THOT *Blinding light and Paya Is gone never to be seen again*
I am so stupid I always forget I have cryonis and overcomplicate things. For Eventide I chopped down the the tree and walked across it falling over a lot, I also was stuck trying to get the snowball down the slope to the door that holds a shrine and a great skeleton.
This was four years ago, it's 2022.... Very comprehensive and VERY helpful 👍🏻. I'm 62 and got BOTW after I hurt my back and needed something to occupy my mind. I suspect I will be playing this for the rest of my life....😳🤯😬..... ❤️❤️🤣
Let me guess I'm realy far down in the comments right ??soo you're awesome if you actually scrolled down here and thanks for somehow scrolling down here and reading bye moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The Hinexs are needed for "monster" link outfit though. ;) Also for number three no matter where you shoot a dragon, the first time you shoot them, you always get a scale. The other times you can get a horn, etc. The Yiga clan one, if you beat their boss before this they say something else, like revenge for their boss or something. I tried eventide inland WAY too early in the game, and that was the first time I ever saw a Hinox... and here I was just exploring then. Now, 116 shrines later, I have left Eventide Island for the last one
