@skylinedude951 Hey man. I like your video. I just bought an 02 Impreza Wrx bugeye. N like you, I'm trying to keep mine reliable for awhile. It has 235k on chassis and trans. Engine is a JDM ej205 from an 03 Wrx. What would you suggest I replace or check to keep it reliable? Already gonna replace the thermostat and flush system.
@@ziera4100 Yes, junk. Literally nobody in Australia runs these, the out of the box tunes on them are horrible. And even if you can justify spending the money on getting a professional to tune it you're better off just getting a standalone ECU or tuning with EcuTek.
@@lowslowfoz 🤔I dont see the downside of the AP though, you don't need to run cobbs OTS tunes.. just get pro tunes, load em on, pick whichever ones you want... can even flash back to stock... Not only that, ypu can data log, send em to ur tuner for diagnosis if you cant there asap... get an a e tune and see how your car reacts... you can alsp monitor your gauges, the whole lot of em without installing 20 different gauges...
If you only have a couple of grand to spend and want your Subaru to last buy tomie equal headers (700),catless downpipe(300) ,air oil separator, (400) oil pickup tube (170) and a tune (500) $2070
dam the white on blue looks good :') Was thinking of going that color scheme with my bugeye wrx but thinking i want to go more the traditional blue and gold
Hey! I'm thinking about getting a stinkeye wrx just cause the newest gen us just too much to pay for, what would you say is healthyilage to buy one of these at? I see them from used dealers with 60-120k miles but I'm not too sure how long boxter engines stay in their prime for.
Kobe Brown check the maintenance and if none were done properly I wouldn’t buy it. I have a Hawkeye Sti at 89k and bought it at 83k and it works fine for me
Fuck the glove box. Every Subaru comes with a compartment under the cover for your shifter that you can only access from neutral to first on an auto and 2,4and reverse
After market Oil Pick up tube (stock cracks so easily and destroyed my engine.) Oil Catch Can (Air Oil Seperator if you want to spend the extra coin) to keep your turbo alive and happy Fluid Damper crank pully. Cobb Accessport Turbo Back Exhaust. 24mm front and back Swaybars Group N Engine mounts Light weight rims (the difference in rotational mass is huge. accelerating, stopping, turn in.) OZ Racing or Enkei RPF 1. Short throw shifter and bushings Dang, the list goes on and on. After having a catastrophic engine failure, I'd take the top 3 on my list and get them on there ASAP. Otherwise all your mods will be worth pocket change.
EJL2004 those are some GREAT suggestions. I just picked up a 2011 wrx sedan all stock with 39k miles. Can i ask you what brand/where i can find the sway bars for my car? Thanks
What brand and specs are your tires? You said 245 in the video. I have some new 18x9.5 wheels with a similar offset and want the same fitment as you. Thanks dude, love your videos.
sweet. I had my '14 for a year now, I'm still pretty stock except for the tomei exhaust. Which tire size would you recommend for a beefy look on the rpf1?
Cal Hal95 that's awesome I used to have a 13 wrx sedan rally blue with black enkei rpf1 , downpipe n q300 exhaust .. traded it in for 15 sti , love both cars .. did I need the sti ? Probly not but I have it now and no regrets .. 😂
I have exact same car. Please share where you got your side and rear shirts. Also share a link for the mufflers and video of your car with the upgraded mufflers
I'm just got a 07 Impreza 2.5i. What's the first thing i should do to boost performance? And could you link to a video about how? Thank you, this is my first subaru and i'd love to have it be fun to drive
Also i would focus on the engine components before tuning and boosting. Get everything set and ready, make sure its strong and can hold alot of boost so its worth it. Finally tune at the end to make it the perfect tune for ur car.
old comment but i'd just let everyone know after reading this guy's comment.. DO NOT BOOST YOUR 2.5i. The engine is not prepared like the wrx or sti is. Learned my lesson and so did the head gasket and rod bearings. You're better off saving the money you'd invest after buying the 2.5 and then turbo kit. buy a wrx or sti if you want boost. Dont play stupid games.
was thinking about buying a used impreza for my first car, but idk what specs i should be looking for and worrying about when getting so if anyone has answers plz reply:)))
This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, bags are far more superior than coilovers unless you get a pair of Ohlins. Anything under 2k are dogshit
Hey i just got my first car a 09 impreza 2.5i and was woundering what the best exhaust would be for cheap also a good lip kit someone hmu if i dont respond hmu on ig plzzz @colt_4ty5
Top 5 in my opinion wrx or sti doesn’t matter 1. A quality AOS 2. Quality suspension 3. Wheels/tires 4. Short throw if it’s a wrx, sti is set on that 5. Least important but probably most satisfying full exhaust and intake with a pro tune.
What is your take on headers? I bought an 02 wrx engine from jdm. i have it the garage.. pro tunning labs has a cheap package, ss. down pipe and headers for under $300
It literally has a wrx badge right on the front screaming at you. Also when he pops the hood you can tell it’s a wrx as soon as you look at the top mount intercooler. Also no wang and he also mentioned he had to put the sti short shifter in which also tells you it’s a wrx
"... definitely a front lip. It increases the aggressiveness of the front end quite a bit." Don't you mean *dramatically* increases the aggressiveness!?! After all, a short shifter will make it feel _dramatically_ different to what it does stock. (Your car won't actually _do_ anything differently though.) Then there's "getting yourself a COBB access port". That little baby will, "make this car feel _dramatically_ different from what it does stock". (Again, there's no details or evidence that it does anything - supposedly dramatic, or otherwise.) Coil-overs? Yep, you guessed it - it's all about appearances. Like most mods in this vid, this guy is just trying to get others to like him. Naawww...
A front lip, coilovers, plastic looking rims, a loud exhaust and a pod filter? All it's missing is some stickers and then it's straight out of the ricer 101 textbook.
Number 1 that’s not a mod, number 2 subis are the shit! If they weren’t, you wouldn’t have a cult following and thousands spent tuning these things up. Great cars!
