I LOVE my Dancehaul Pro. I was lucky enough to get one from the local shop, and it's a really great board and can be ridden really aggressively for a volume shifted board.
No new boards for me but I'm most hyped that Blauer's is an affiliate! My local shop and have bought all my boards through them. Amazing staff who are always trying to help you get the best ride you can.
Ive ridden the dancehaul 154 both normal and pro. The pro is good, was thinking about buying it, but the gnu gremlin is better imo. Way more fun. Got the mrs a danchaul.
I was able to demo a Mega Death last year, and I can confidently say "The hype is real". I typically ride a 162 BSOD and all they had was the 159 and I didn't notice any drawbacks. There was some fresh pow and due to it being softer, it rode the pow better than my BSOD. I was also blown away by the weight difference. I didn't think I would notice it as much, but I noticed it immediately. Hoping to be able to pick one up next season.
I’ve got a Display and just picked up a Research for cheap. Stoked to hear it rips. I would’ve expected it to be on the under-hyped list since people don’t talk about Public much.
I wanted the dance haul pro but they left out the Bigfoot sizes last year so I ended up with a K2 excavator instead. I only got one day on it but it was a killer day
Looked at the specs for the Golden Orca vs the Megadeath. Golden Orca weight spec for their biggest board is for someone half my size. Going to half to get the Megadeath to mount my Clew Bindings on.
Got on a BSOD last season as my daily driver, hoping to ride like I did in the good ol days. Even though I am fit as a fiddle, a competitive athlete my whole life, and am in the gym religiously.....it was just too much board for my 44yo body and knees to enjoy as much as I hoped I would. Now I am trying to decide if I want to spring for the MegaDeath as my daily driver this season, or be reasonable and grab that Arbor GPS, or Battaleon Chameleon etc instead. Lifes toughest decisions man
Yo I’m looking to upgrade my board for this season. I’ve been riding a hand me down Rome Metal 158 from 2005 or something. Don’t get me wrong. It rips, but I just need something a little more modern. It’s a traditional camber board, so definitely wanna go camber. I ride a split of like 60/40 park and hills. What would you recommend? Looking at an agent or mercury but super open to anything. Really just looking for a board that I can use as a Swiss Army knife cause I don’t wanna buy 3 different boards for 3 different things
Sounds like you just want a solid all mountain freestyle board. I'd look at Agent, Mercury as you mentioned, or Ride Shadowban, Jones Mountain Twin, Nitro Team.

God damnit. I still have a board in the plastic from last year since I got hurt in December and had to get surgery. Now I want a Dance Haul Pro and a Chameleon.
What would you say main differences between the DH Pro and the K2 Almanac are? Specs seem similar as far as waist width, taper, shape (ish)... Looking for a fun everyday board for midwest riding. Thanks!
The shapes going to make them ride a little different. DH Pro is going to be better in pow just from that standpoint and have a slightly easier engaging flex.
Looking forward to at least more snow depth in Washington state than last year but after years of backcountry only I went to a few "resorts" again and was sad to see they don't groom during the day so it's just a mogul field 90% of the runs . No wonder I saw so many skiers :(

Well the first ones were made at The Mothership and were recycled Capita shapes/specs with a higher price tag. Now, who the fuck knows who is building them. It's a nostalgia cash grab don't waste your time.
The shape, camber profiles, and sidecut make them ride different. DH is going to be better on the back foot in pow and exiting a carve. Almanac is more like a smedium volume shifted directional twin.

They replaced the party platter with a more cambered version?? So they made a dancehaul mimic?? I have both and loved the platter , felt the dancehaul was a less party board
Lib doesn't make an Apex Golden Orca, that's an Apex Orca. Will you be that guy hatin' on my Golden Orca that I added to my quiver this season? Do you have something to show that your skillset qualifies you to push these decks to the level where you can form a proper opinion of them?
