In this video I will show you the top 5 rarest and most expensive Pocketeers and Tomy Pocket Games plus my personal choice of the top 5 greatest of these games.
I was very surprised at quite how much these actually sell for, however, putting a full set together is definitely a possibility with some patience!

Hello from Argentina!, The brand was called "Pocketeers" itself here from Top Toys, I had the one with the maze and the basketball that was for two players. All the Pocketeers were available but expensive. Then, some consoles started to appear, like Coleco Vision and Telematch and these pocket games lost traction.

Me and my brothers used to have a bunch of those. I remember having Cup Final, Bombard, Pinball, Fruit Machine, Golf, Raly, Rock n Roll, two player basketball and a few I cant remember. Probably still tucked away in the attic somewhere. Not Mint and probably not boxed but well used and well loved.

Soooo many memories rekindled here. I still have RALLY in its card cover:- My 2 older brother's and me had 2 or 3 each and I still have them all somewhere. As with most of our toys from the 70s/80s, I tried to keep everything as I was the youngest - TopTrumps, pocketeers, action figures etc and I'm so glad I did. TOP VIDEO - Subscribed!!

I think part of the reason crossbow and blowpipe are rare is the fact there were a number of loose parts which would have got lost or broken and the game getting chucked away, same with golf. All the others are a sealed unit which would stand the test of time a lot better.

Great video Jules. I loved these as a kid. I have a whole box of loose ones I collected in the early days of eBay, so my kids grew up playing them too ! I have my favourites carded - yes, you guessed - Steeplechase, Rally and Fishing. I do love some of the US ones too - Robot Factory and Burger Catch.

I just hit a point in my life where I remembered these little gems and started collecting. Do you remember one that was purple and had a lot of cartoony art? I know that’s not a lot to go on but I know I had this particular game as a child. Thanks so much! What a calming and wonderful review

Thanks for the video, these were great fun! Just found some in the garage earlier including Smurf Look Alike, Rally, Space Invaders, Gobble, Derby Day & Steeple Chase. Plus what appear to be copies Love & Love (like Smurfs) and a Motorbike game like Pile Up. Only 2 are Boxed unfortunately!

@JulesBurt yes, that one is a great little game. Actually I've just found a box for Love & Love and it does appear to be official afterall. Looks like it may be a Spanish version.

Excellent review. I actually owned many of these from new, all still in the boxes and immaculate. I sold the crossbow and blowpipe over 10 years ago now, prestige condition and the one had the price sticker on from Woolworths which was as far as I can remember £1.49. I got £70 for the Blowpipe and £50 for the Crossbow. I never knew they were collectible at the time, one of them had nearly 1000 hits on eBay. Wish I’d of kept them now! I’ve still got some 70s/80s toys in my loft, boxed of course! One of them Is ‘Galaxy Space Invaders’ in mint condition and boxed. Keep up the reviews! 👍🏻

Great video, Jules. Steeplechase was my fave too although 'Rock and Roll' was a close second. For further investigation, there are several Tomy pocket games of a similar 'obstacle course' type nature that were only released in Japan. They're almost as good...

wow blowpipe & crossbow such rare games for pocketeer class; not only have you to take several parts out of the box but you need to shoot dangerous darts, implying you can't play safely in the comfort of your school seat (maybe that's why the manufacturer retired them); golf is another take-the-parts-out-of-the-box but at least you only need to build a small sized golf court, you can do it safely over your school table. The rest are super classics and strictly adhere to my definition of Pocketeers.

For sure Juan, I think Palitoy mist have got a bit worried about someone getting hurt and thought best to retire those first two, hense them being rare today. Gold just has lots of bitsxtgough👍🙂
