I’m loving these videos, 2 board quiver is a fun top 5 as I try to only stick to a 2 board quiver each season. This year I’m rocking the Salomon Dancehaul and Ride Deep Fake, very happy but I’m dying to get on that PYL UnInc! Cheers
Such a good idea for a video. My 2 board quiver is a Public Display and Korua Dart. Finding two boards that cover all terrain and conditions is fairly easy these days since there are so many great boards out there.
@@boriscima8134 Jay peak is at 115” for the season. If you aren’t willing to drive then yeah no powder days. The rain this last weekend really hurt though.
@@brianp9268Without man-made snow nowhere in CA would be open. We are so dry out here. Just had a 3 storm and it's still raining on the 18 inch "base".
This year the Rossi After Hours and Jones Airheart. Haven't touched my diva anymore last year, only the after hours. Bought the airheart this summer and just took it out for a day in the snow, and I know I will love it when going to Tignes in Jan.
My two board quiver is a '21 Burton Kilroy w/ Malavitas and a '23 Jones Ultra Mountain Twin w/ Now Select Pro X Kowalchuks. The Kilroy is the daily driver. Full camber with a soft enough flex to butter and jib, as well as enough stability to hit mid sized kickers with relative ease. It can also lay down a decent carve and hold it's own bombing groomers. The UMT is there for bombing rougher terrain, powder or massive features in and out of the park. Center out the stance for the massive jump lines... or set it back 1.5" for the rare Midwest powder days and let the rocker in the tail give your back leg a break. With that being said, I can't wait to try the UMT this year. Now if only we can get some snowfall around here for a change.
2 board quiver for me is all Stranda: Descender 161 for all freeride charging and deep stuff, Biru 154 for resort max fun but can still float very well
great video again! the reviews are awesome. i ended up picking the ride shadowban 160 w and yes pyl uninc 157. im on the east coast praying for the snow gods to dump.
Considering myself an "advanced intermediate". Own a Salomon Dancehaul love it for : the agility of a smaller board, for trees and pow, for side hits and to go on easy features in the park. Since it's soft, I'm not confident going at higher speed with it and I don't like it in uneven terrain. What would you recommend as a 2nd board? Something stiffer, more aggressive that I could go fast and handle anything but not too hard to handle for my skill level? Can be directional or twin but I don't ride switch really much. Thanks,
Well, I have the Zero with Ride C6 bindings, loving that so far; I may need to get a little better before I grab that PYL Uninc though! Great list dudes! Still shocked Burton didn't make the cut anywhere though, 🤣
Number 5 works for me. My quiver is the Marhar Lumberjack and the Ride Benchwarmer. I prefer the true twin shape and asymmetricl sidecut of the Benchwarmer over that of the Shadowban.
Headspace as a daily driver Banked country for pow days Both this years models. I have the previous 2 years headspace models also and I have always enjoyed them, but this years shape change is a win imo. I wasn’t a fan of the tail shape on the previous years banked country, glad they blunted it off this season. I have last years essential service also but tbh i barely ride it. It’s alright for deep days but besides that I don’t really enjoy it. Now that I have the banked country, the ES ends up not getting any action. The c3 is where it’s at, mervin just needs to make all their boards c3 and get rid of the other profiles lol They also need to make the 4x4 in a wide, would have picked that over the banked country if they did.
Hey Angry! I’ve got a Super DOA that I daily and a Ride Super pig to cover me for the deep stuff. I mainly like hard charging and finding stuff to launch myself off of. both boards are sweet but there’s quite a bit of overlap and I’ve been missing the buttery flex and party aspect of my 2021 warpig that I gave to my brother. I’ve been drooling over buying a Partymod or Dancehaul. If you could only have one party deck what would you pick?
I managed to pick up a 157 Dancehaul super cheap from a friend since I liked the orca but wanted some camber instead of that horrible reverse between the feet. What would that pair with?
East coast 2 board quiver... 2021 Rome warden and 2023 ride smokescreen. I literally just copped a smokescreen for $240 after taxes and delivery from the-house. I keep it under $300/board on east coast. West coast 2 board quiver... 2023 Jones Storm wolf for powder and 2020 ride super pig for carving days. List seems great... I dont know shit compared to you guys.
What two board quiver woukd you take to Japan if conditions are blower when I arrive? Out of Simple pleasures 156 20 Excavator 54 22 Ride benchwarmer 57w 23 CAPiTA super doa 58w 24
Hello guys, what would be The best compliment to K2 Passport in terms of more laid back and loose ride with a good pop but not a noodle ? (my brother has old Mountain Twin from 2019 and I heard they changed it a lot and I liked this board a lot, any comparable boards?)
How does 3BT change carving? I didn't have a chance to try it out yet but logically it should slow down edge change since you have to tilt it more than other boards but some people say it's somehow faster. I get the part about ankle steering but what about the speed of edge engage?
What would you recommend on my short list. I want a free ride off piste , powder to chunder with play in the board And an all mtn ripper, park and side hits lots of snap. Passport. Deep fake, dancehaul pro. Super pig, stale fish Paired with - shadowban, resort twin, indoor survival, huck knife Thanks
i'm riding a feelgood and looking for a more playful 2nd board for ground tricks like butters and learning park. bataleon's line up holds promise (push up, mood board, wallie) or the burton rewind or libtech ryme -- no where to rent these, though. any opinion out there?
Why didn't my pairing of my Gilson Dumpster Fire and my Gilson PA Pow-day even crack the honorable mentions!?!!?!? I have Knee, I mean CLEW bindings on all of them!
Thank you so much. Gonna get the Otto. I am 6ft, 175lbs, US11 size boots. Have the Hovercraft 2023 160. Is the Otto 161 the right choice? I also just bought the Jones Orion Bindings to pair with the Hovy and the Otto, and haven't tried yet. I focus on all mtn riding, powder when there is some, groomers, side hits, and only a little bit of park jumps and jibs. Is it gonna do it ? My other option to the Otto would be the Mtn Twin 159W. Which would you choose? Thanks!!@@AngrySnowboarder
Hi man, Anything else to recommend to pair with the GNU Rc C3 2021? It’s my all mountain freestyle and I’m really struggling to find something twinish powder or shortsized non twin pow board… Thank you
@@coastconstructionandremode8265 i am super happy! Both are fun all over the mountain. The mercury is new this year and the stalefish is from last season :)
