Or you can just go where I did...the middle of a busy 4 lane highway. Picked up a kitten running through traffic about 2 months ago. Most grateful cat I've ever seen

Yep I could've guessed it because I have a Russian Blue cat and she's the most lovable one of all my cats I can go outside and she's right there following me or I could just be sitting outside and she'll jump up and start rubbing against me. Yep russian blue cats are not only the world's most adorable cats but they're most definitely the world's most affectionate cats 🥰❤

Diffently the russian blue. Our 16 year old Russian blue, fiddy recently passed and we are devastated. I have never hurt or cried so hard in my life..I lost my tv watching partner and he slept with me every night. 😢

We have 2 cats, 1 is a pure bred Siamese and she is affectionate on her terms only. Then we have a stray male who showed up and he is just a short hair mix (orange and white) tabby cat and he is affectionate ALL the time and has the loudest purr I've ever heard. 💞 We love them both dearly, but the orange and white tabby has my heart ❤️

Russian Blues are amazing cats. Very loving, very loyal, and super intelligent/perceptive. I will say too that tabbies are consistently very affectionate cats.

My Russian Blue is so lovable but she loves to be loved! Her favorite thing is when I serenade her with my acoustic guitar. She gets embarrassed for me when I sing the wrong note 😮 So cute!

I have a little half Siamese boy, he didn't get the best start so he's a little shy but he loves to bring me his special stick every night before bed accompanied by lots shouting and still little dance

We have 1 american short haired. But 1 breed that should've definitely been on this list are calico's. I grew up with so many calicos in my life and each and everyone of them have been the most loveable, attachable cats I have ever had. I love each and every one of them. We have 1 meow.

Calico cats are not a breed though, Calico is exclusively a coloration pattern and can happen in literally every breed.

I worked at a rescue organization for 5 years and the calicos/torties were the meanest and most unpredictable. I give them a wide berth.

The only cat I know that is predisposed to being social would be lions. Any other cat tends to be solitary by nature. Cats are cats. When it comes to cats, breeds don’t affect their affection at all. You can turn any cat into a lovebug.

1:18 Those are Orientals. Teeeeechnically a different breed, though they are the result of a breeding program using Siamese breed as the starting point (hence their ability to have the Siamese coat, as seen here).

Actually the first Siamese is thought to actually have been Tonkinese, and the USoNA did not start the breed

On the other hand, the only 100% asocial cat I've ever seen, let alone owned, was a Russian Blue acquired from a cat shelter. You would think that those two things together would guarantee your best odds of an affectionate cat, but the cat fled from everyone including the one person she would occasionally tolerate, never purred, and preferred to spend 95% of their time outdoors, including overnight, really only coming back for food. In terms of fulfilling the promise of a "house cat", she was an abject failure. (And if you're prepared to say that this shouldn't matter, then why on earth are you watching a video about which breeds supposedly make the best house cats?)

Yeah this list was all wrong.. Putting Russian blue at number 1 was the biggest indicator as they prefer to sit alone a lot of the time.

Mine is similar. He uses his foot to push my hand away if I pet him more than a few times 😅. He doesn’t like being brushed either.

You forgot to mention the Egyptian Mau and the Arabian one...I have both of them, and they're crazy playful and sticky when it comes to being affectionate, the Egyptian Mau has a bit of independence going though😂😂😂... My beloved little demons 🥰🥰🥰
