Rosie Davis I have a fear of dogs because when I was little I got scared by one but for me it’s not the fear of getting bitten by a dog it when dogs bark that scares me
I guess lots of things that are smaller than you can hurt you. Knives, swords, animals such as dogs and cats and snakes and wolves and foxes and piranhas and hornets, and paper. You know, paper cuts. They hurt so much
I suffer from emetophobia (fear of vomiting/vomiting situations) and my family could not be more rude about it. Whenever my brother pretends to be vomiting, or if someone in my house is actually sick, I find myself avoiding the places thay they've been, including bathrooms, couches, chairs, etc. My heart rates skyrocket and my chest pounds and I'm pretty sure I'm having a panic attack whenever I feel sick.
I have scopophobia: the phobia of being watched. I sometimes think “what if there’s a a hidden camera in here?” “What if there’s a secret camera in my device?” Sometimes I even cover my device’s camera when the thought crosses
I have trypophobia. Trypophobia brings on feelings of disgust or fear when you see patterns with lots of holes in it. Tbh it creeps me out. I feel disgusted and sometimes I shiver when I see lots of tiny holes bunched together.
I have a phobia about holes, which I think is called Trypophobia, correct me if I'm wrong- But whenever I see holes, my shoulders get shaky and I would rather watch a fighting scene than thousands of holes with different sizes together. Ugh, Im already shaky just by talking about them
My phobias: Scared of spiders Scared of insects (all most all) Scared of heights Scared of small spaces Scared of elevators Scared of dogs Scared of cats Scared of animals Scared of swollowing a pill Scared of dying Scared of *school*
would make sense. both my twin sister and i have emetophobia... however, nature vs nurture is strong, what we witnessed growing up for example, most of the same experiences and shared memories.
Makes sense for my mother, seeing as I was raised being shoved into a small room yet like my mother I hate them and have done before I got shoved into the room
People before 2020: The fear of germs, really? People in 2020: *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
literally, i used to tell my friends that i had a phobia of germs, and theyd start messing with all my stuff, getting their germs on it. oh, they’re sorry now.
Your not scared of the dark... your just scared of what’s inside the dark Edit : who here has read the book “school of fear” ? Edit 2: lol my dad read your replies
I’m an Aussie, I live in tropical Queensland specifically (it is riddled with insects), and I have a phobia of bugs. It’s absolute torture because there are sooo many
Matt McLoughlin IKR!! I think the noise they make really bothers me. Or the fact that they just SHED SKIN AND LEAVE IT LYING AROUND. It’s just, uhhh, I hate them

Cookie CousinsLPS when I was 7 years old, I woke up with a spider on my leg, I screamed so loud and started crying, my mom brother, and dad woke up and I didn’t sleep on my bed for a week. they had to put bug spray EVERYWHERE, I got a new blanket, I put a blanket to next me so they would go on the blanket instead of my bed, AND I had a bunch of pillows protecting me, when I’m slept in my room after a week-
I know I'm late to the party, but one phobia I have that I think is quite common is "brontophobia" or the fear of thunder and lightning. Anytime there's a thunderstorm going on around me, I panic and, once in a blue moon, faint.
My grandmother had brontophobia... And I think this is one example of phobia that pass genetically... because I shudder when I hear the sound... is too loud...
STRaChaKids _ same but when I started dating it kinda felt wrong- he was acting strange.. so weird I was scared. (Also I didn’t really like him-) I’ve never had actually a crush on anyone before.. I’m being honest.
Def have trynaphobia, chilopodaphobia, algophobia, and dysmorphophobia. Needles… 😰 CENTIPEDES 😶🌫️ Breaking your limbs… being heavily cut… having your body part bloat… having your finger bend the wrong way… it makes me shiver.
If I have a phobia, it’s chronophobia, the fear of time, and the passage of it. I’ve always been scared of losing precious moments forever, being forgotten, and growing older, because I know how terrifying the world can really be. I don’t want to deal with the responsibilities that come with being an adult, and though I’m far away from adulthood, my life couldn’t be going faster.
I guess I have Kronos-phobia. (I spelt it that way on purpose. It’s a fear of the Time Lord Kronos, who ate his children, the Gods, but forgot about Zeus) *I also have a fear of mushy foods, like bananas and applesauce*
My top 4 biggest fears! :) 1. Trypophobia * fear of being kidnapped * 2. Nyctophobia * fear of the dark * 3. Autophobia * fear of being alone * 4. Scopophobia * fear of being watched *
Saying “Face your fears!” to someone who has a phobia of needles is like telling Santa to cancel Christmas. It’s not gonna happen, so frick you, now let me cry whenever I go to the doctor, ok!?
I feel terrible for people with cynophobia. Context : Someone I used to hang out with when I was young had cynophobia. Storytime : My assistant principal used to bring her dog in every friday, I found this very irresponsible because of this person. One time the dog and the assistant principal walked into our class, and this person bursted out in tears and started screaming. She was on the verge of fainting . I hold a grudge against the assistant principal to this day.
As someone who has cynophobia I understand your friend perfectly I have such a big fear of dogs to the point that when I have to go to my grandparents(they live very close to us) I look left and right and than I run like my life depends on it, or when I see a stray dog I usually cross roads to avoid it but if I have no choice I move extremely slowly so that a person can pass besides me and I walk alongside with them till I can't see the dog, otherwise I walk extremely slowly till I pass the dog than I start walking normally
@@mtlaura271 same but it is getting better things that helped me is to start to play with s really small dog then move to a little bigger and it is gone
People don’t understand that people with a fear of being injected don’t care about the pain. They only care about the fact of being injected with a needle. I mean, some people care about the pain though.
I have that phobia and you are right, it’s also probably because once I got a needle that numbed my whole body and I couldn’t do anything for a week I know it sounds wimpy (because it is) it’s just my opinion/thought
I completely agree, for me it’s both though, I used to be okay with needles, I never cried, but one day some dumbass nurses kept giving me injections every 15min and when I tried to stand up I threw up, I’ve been afraid of needles ever since. Also, I have a fear of pain so it doesn’t help
i used to never be afraid of on needles but one time i got a vaccination where i could feel it going into my body. i nearly passed out and now i'm scared of needles
Me: *has Phobia of rollercoasters* My friend: let’s go on that new Batman ride! Me: NO! I’m not even telling the whole story of how I had a panic attack in line 😥
SB Draws ahh, I feel you. I used to have acrophobia (fear of heights), but my friends forced me to ride on one like 15 times. I was terrified, but I somehow lost my fear of heights and now I’m a happy turtle. Oh, right I have hydrophobia (fear of water), I can’t be a turtle.
literally same, i have cleithrophobia a fear of being trapped so i won't go on rollercoasters. so where do my friends and i go on a school trip? a theme park i held all the bags in the rain for the entire day
I have Cynophobia (fear of dogs) because they scared me in so many ways when I was very younger… Well, I know that no one ask for it but I’m going to tell you all the stories of HOW i get Cynophobia, well, Story 1: One day when I was like 3-4 yrs old, i was in kindergarten and my mom came for me, then we go to the house of my aunt, we were waiting outside my aunt to open us the door siege, my mom was hitting the door for make know my aunt to open us so we can enter, but while we were waiting I looked next to me, and there was an adult dog smelling me, I get in panic because I get scared, thank god my mom scare him for get away, that dog was opening his mouth closer me like getting ready for bite me, then we already enter I was still in panic but then my mom calm me, that’s the 1st reason I’m fear of dogs.. Story 2: One normal night at the house of my cousin, when I was 4-5 yrs old, i didn’t liked to much the house of my cousin cause she had an adult female dog, named Doll, I was stand normally a little bit scared by seeing the dog, then the dog started running at me, I started running for escape from her but then I accidentally fell down on the floor, I tried to get up but it was too late, the dog was up of my body seeing me, I get in so much panic seeing her up of my body, then the mom of my cousin or her dad make the dog get away from me, I was crying so much about that, that’s the 2nd reason I’m fear of dogs.. Well, that are the moments that I remember of dogs that scared me, I get traumatized about all that, this days I keep having that fear I am just not fear of baby dogs, Oh and the reason that I love cats, Reason: In the house of my aunt of the 1st story, inside of her house are so much cats, now she haves 20 I think, some of them escaped or get d13d, sometimes I go in her house and I always loved to play with her cats, so like a had more connection with cats, that how I preferred cats, but I respect you if you don’t like cats maybe because you are fear of them, well, I hope you understand me, blessings ! ❤⭐️
@@fatum8573 spiders aren't even nasty, they eat bugs that pass harmful diseases around, only bite humans because they bother them, die to humans because they don't want to bite humans and harm them, therefore dying because of their mercy, and they actually are clever enough to come up with hunting tactics instead of their instinctual hunting tactics
@Crush actually, UNO reverse. You see, before you're born, your gender isn't fully developed yet, and you start off with a vagina. It'll either grow outwards, or stop growing. That's why men have nipples! I learned it last year at summer camp, actually. Interesting stuff.
The video was informative and helped me gain a better understanding of some of the most common phobias people experience. I appreciated the clear explanations and examples provided for each phobia, and it was interesting to learn how they can manifest in different ways in people's lives. The video also emphasized the importance of seeking professional help if a phobia is interfering with one's daily life. Overall, I found the video to be helpful and would recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about phobias.
One time a scrunchie fell behind my dresser, the flashlight wasn't very good and I thought it was a bunch of spider eggs and started freaking out (like a lot)
I've always had the fear of needles, but my diabetes is forcing me to get over that fear. It really sucks poking my fingers to draw blood several times a day and getting injections every time I want to eat.
A shark was seen near where we were staying at the beach two days before we got there. I was definitely terrified but I’m not gonna ruin my vacation because of a shark lol 😅
@@wendypark2006 That's exactly what I have! I'm not scared of heights, I love being high up. It's just that I'm scared of falling. I'm also slightly nyctophobic.
Once I saw a black widow and I told my mom and she tried to poke and it and smash it with a stick and I ran away, but then it RAN AFTER ME, and I screamed. No matter where I went, what turns I took, IT WAS RIGHT ON MY TAIL. Eventually my mom killed it, but I'm super afraid of poisonous spiders so I was scared. I'm also afraid of big and hairy spiders as well, if they're close to my face too.
I have the exact opposite. I love tarantulas and those big fluffy ones but the small fast jumpy ones terrify me because they can run and jump at you so fast.
Fun fact: octophobia is the fear of opening your eyes Edit: i just realized octophobia is fear of number 8. oPtophobia is fear of opening your eyes allso thanks for the likes :)

Automatonophobia (fear of human-like statutes) anyone? I was in a museum with my family (my first time) and I suddenly felt so overwhelmed and panicked by all the small/giant neutral colored statues everywhere. It didn't help that no music was playing and the rooms were dimly lit 💀. I started crying and retreated to a corner to face the wall. Long story short, my family had to lead me out by my arm with my eyes shut 🥲

yup, i have a REALLY EXTREME case of acrophobia and steep stairwells triggers me, as well as bridges and etc. but the most i've been called out for is not going to the top place on the playground slides. it scared me as a child, also escalators too
(While I cannot find the source.) I remember hearing that the reason why soldiers scream while charging is because of how absolutely terrifying it is. Also; between twilight zone, poltergeist, etc., and the fact that there are some horrifyingly creepy dolls there are “out there“; are we really quite sure that it is indeed a full-blown phobia?😜
And what about the people that suffer from Cleithrophobia? Fear of being locked in. Fear of huge cities. People that are at their happiest on mountain tops, in the Alps, in huge grassy fields with no fences and can run for miles in every direction! This lockdown is a living nightmare for them.
My current fears are: *spiders* *clowns* *circus* *doctor* *darkness* *conspiracies* *dolls* *feathers* *spider webs* Some other stuff are: *social and normal anxiety* *insomnia* *cant fall asleep at 3am* *depression*
Cynophobia is the worst. I turn into a statue whenever a dog gets too close 😭 it's gotten a bit better for me as long as it's not the super hyper jumpy type. My guess is i got it from the time i got jumped by our dog as a child, although i have no memory of it and just found out from stories my parents told, i guess my brain decided it was so bad that it was best to forget it 🤡

I don't think there is a phobia for it, but i am absolutely terrified of Orca Whales. I used to go to Seaworld a lot to watch the orca shows, but then a guy broke into the enclosure after closing time and was basically used as a play toy by the orca. i was really little when it happened, but since then, they terrify me.
There actually is a phobia of orcas ! Hope this helps ! The phobia you have could be Delfiniphobia; the phobia of dolphins- ( orcas are technically classified as dolphins. ) The phobia you've gained could also be Cetaphobia, or the phobia of whales. I do not have this phobia, however I have Galeophobia ( The fear of sharks. ) And since orcas are normally more dangerous than sharks, I can see why you have this phobia. Also I'm so sorry that happened to you. no kid deserves to see that, I would be petrified. Thank you if you read this, just trying to help out, sorry if I end up sounding like a prick. I hope your day/ night ends up being fantastic.
When I watch this video, I realized that _“Trypophobia” (Fear of holes and things inside them.)_ isn’t in the list. I thought it was common. But, it isn’t common, maybe uncommon or rare.
I laugh at them because the acting is almost always bad and stupid but once I was so convinced I turned to my girlfriend who was also scared and just cling onto her and didn’t let go for like a half an hour

Okay what fear of mine affects me the most is being scared of the “dark”. While im not really scared of darkness itself, im fine with it sometimes, bUt i imagine things lurking in the shadows... This isn’t a lil fear, i have to sleep with the light on in my room all night. I feel bad about it because im wasting electricity but like, i cannot sleep without the light on. You may be thinking “tHaTs chilDish!!11!1” well sOrrY i have seen too much sp00ky images ( and i also have a problem with thinking of bad scenarios in my mind, which affects me a lot when im about to sleep. My mind will be like: *oh, wait, is that a sp00ky creature lurking in the shadows thats about to rip out your esophagus-* ) And i wanna try to stop this fear, but its difficult for me. So basically im a bit paranoid. Not much, but a lil bit-
Same once I watch something that’s scary I get paranoid when it’s time for bed , I could have watched it like two days ago and I would remember it right there

Fun fact: when I was younger I had a phobia of pooping, which was actually deadly, and now as a 'side effect' I'm scared of period poops so much, and scared of giving birth naturally lmao etc
Sofia B. If you only knew that pooping and pushing for the baby to come out feels so alike, only the birth contractions won't stop till you give birth and it's stronger. I'm not joking, sorry. I too thought my mother in law was lying to me when she told me until I gave birth.
My phobias ;) - Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) - Cynophobia (fear of dogs) - Megalophobia (fear of large objects) - Japanaphobia (fear of injections) And a bunch of others but I don't know what they're called ;)))

My list (I would not say I have any of this phobias, in their true meaning, besides the *acrophobia* one. The rest of them are fears that have not gotten to the point of becoming phobias, but I thought I would still list them): - Acrophobia: fear of heights (this is the only one that is truly a phobia for me. Like a 'phobia' and not only a fear. All those people that do parkour on tall a$s buildings or those that sit on the edge of it? Not even a chance, not even for a million dollars. I just know that I would lose my balance due to stress and fall hahah.) - Hemophobia: fear of blood (mostly consists in me getting extremely sick whenever I see blood unexpectedly or in large amounts, or anything else that is related to surgery and the human body and its components) - Cynophobia: fear of dogs (I was chased by a playful dog at the beach when I was 13. As his owner knew he was only playing, he did not react rapidly to me screaming, and it is safe to say I did not expect an unknown dog to chase me and even less without no one doing something.) - Entomophobia: fear of insects (it would be useless to start telling y'all how I react when insects attack me or, worse, when they are anywhere on my body. This one might turn into a real phobia if I'll find one of those little multi-legged things crawling on me again.). - Thalassophobia: fear of drowning/deep water (I'm still debating whether it is only a fear or a true phobia at this point).
Everyone in the comments: I’m afraid of spiders, beetles, the dark, clowns Me: fish...yes, fish.....put those things back where they came from, or so help me-
I have a fear of escalators. :/ And a fear of heights. Then, spiders. The darkness. Tiny holes, Big crowds, Sometimes water, Fire, Being alone, Needles sometimes, Tight spaces, Driving in cars, Fear of being yelled at, And most likely more fears.
I don’t want to say I have a phobia, because I don’t want to be disrespectful to people who do, but bugs literally cause me to lose sleep sometimes, And I shake my clothes before I wear them just for good measure.
