Barry is by far one of my favourite guitar players, and such a fantastic teacher, especially in the vein of Pat Martino, Wes and Benson! Great video as usual 👍

Hey The classical guitar anecdote is actually not that strange. I studied classical guitar too and the teacher would seldom touch the instrument. I think thats how it is in classical guitar
@Brian Bowman Duets are great but i never played duets in my training, unfortunately. I always thought that the teacher never touched the guitar unless he wanted to show a very specific technique (slur or glissando or correct some postural mistake) to force you to sight read everything. If you hear someone play the piece or look at the persons fingers, it takes away from sight reading. Sight reading was such a HUGE component of classical guitar, and its so inexistant in other genres (even jazz).
If Barry sees your question, He might be able to tell you. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
mr greene has developed a style totally like pat martino style with more harmonic ideas! he is more articulated than pat martino. I hope to watch new lessons on you tube. now the problems are speed , sweep, and others. he is technically superior to many players but not popular in europe.why? like metheny or lagrene or taylor .or ritenour.probably because in the past players sold records! thanks to mr greene for our learning!
