Great content as always! Though the REAL reason most modern cars have a short lifespan is called Planned Obsolescence. Manufacturers don't want you using a car forever, but prefer you to upgrade after the warranty period.
Very nice reviews. I agree with you. By the way we still have a very reliable PEUGEOT 505GL a late 80's machine. This beast climbs those rugged hills you normally leave your new xtrails to cool off at the foot😄. It never dies. Am still seeing most of them on the road.
List cannot be complete without the mitsubishi 4G15 engine, a legend being produced to date. Have had a Mitsu Lancer CK2A with 4G15 for 12 years now. Resilient even in bodywork. It's 21 years old in total, and still runs like clockwork. Can hurry up. They have a reputation.
How could you forget toyota shark 3l especially 5l engines 2006 model going backwards... Are another geem in the durability level... They have flooded the transportation industry.... My issue with td27 is only on gearbox, every 3months pressure plate, clutch disc😩
Merc W124 Eclass Masterpiece and W140 S class. The latter will cost 1m in good condition today. Epitome of class and style. Reliable and valuable. I've had 3 and would buy another one even today.
We've had in our family the 70,Ae91 and the 110. Nothing beats having a reliable and dependable car that does the basics well when your other unit will definitely disappoint you.
For Toyota you definitely forgot the OG ROAD warrior, Toyota Landcruiser bana, that one shouldnt have missed your list a good number of them have clocked more than 500k KM mileage the 70 series, 80 series, 90 and 100 series. i think worldwide Landcruiser is renowned for being Bullet Proof other than that, great content, keep it up. Just a request, review some JDM machines head to head, Evolution vs STi kinda thing
That has been a great review! You state that the Toyota Corolla is arguably the most reliable cars in the world. How about the Honda - with the never-failing vtec engine?
The Vtec is awesome, a comparison between it and Toyota's Vvt-i would start a war. However the popular opinion is that Honda has made some pretty reliable cars but theirs a reason why Toyota is King of the hill.
My father owns the toyota 103 dx he values much, the car is a small working horse it handles everything with confidence it is just a kahilux kadogo kwanza those with the leaf spring
Was glad to see a 504 on the list . owned one years back and never regretted it ... was known as the King of the Mombasa Nairobi run.. 4 x 4 X 4 as it was known ... 4 hours in a 4 wheel drive 504
Inherited a Corolla KE 70 still runs like a dream.how can the list be complete without the old land rovers still used as breakdowns bro?all the same good stuff, love your content.
@@CARNVERSATIONS You also missed out on the ever popular Toyota Hilux Millennium! Even when its a year 2000 this pickup has remained the most expensive old car today with prices above 1m!!!!
@Erick, you forgot abt Toyota celica. They still run to date. I own one that is 22yrs and still strong and looks new. I also know of a friend who owns a 1966 and still runs
Even the predecessor of navara the Old generation Datsun pickups were also reliable a good example is the Nissan Datsun d21 pickup with z20 and na20 engines..
Nice video but I always wonder when it comes to Toyotas you always add "overated" even when you confirm that they are reliable and cannot be "killed" ?
@@CARNVERSATIONS hey Erick, siko hizo sclmedia zingine but I have request kindly, can u give us/me details about NISSAN X-TRAIL SUV, espcly from 2007- the 2snd generations ones, (T31).been contemplating btwn that na tyta, no rush, when u can boss. Asante👊🙏
Hey Erick, I desperately need your advice about Toyota CH-R, which was first time in the market in 2017. Would you advice one to buy the motor in Kenya, I've learnt that some insurance companies are not agreeing to insure comprehensive only the third party, is this car in the category
Hey. Normally I see some guys with exclusive cars like porsches and mustangs. Can you do a video on how to get around with those cars. Like incase they break down, how do they get fixed? Merits and demerits of having such vehicles etc.....
It's good if you had the pictures of every car you mention coz most people know the car lakini jina you might not know exactly so,, my view you should be describing every car with it's photo please
learnt to drive with my granddad toyota 110. he sold it around 2010 and its still around. i remember the day it came home brand new from twiga motors. does that company still exist ?
Any iteration of Toyota/Lexus with the 2UZ-FE, 1GR-FE engines, brilliant so far. On the reliability front, my money is on the fact that you will eat your words on smaller engines having reliability issues(reliability problems mostly applies to euro trash), Toyota's V35A-FTS while still new, should give a good account in the coming years, watch that space..
Thanks for the amazing memory lane track. Would you please provide a review of the Nissan Xtrail 2012 model. How does it compare to the Subaru Forester 2008 in terms of comfort and reliability?
Eric must be confused with so many comments which he nevver expected .. and I am sure he will do more of these ...he will soon be cratching his head as he will be spending more preciuos time replying to the comments .. Eric you asked for it !!!!... on the brighter side .. you are doing a great service , Bro .
