- Still too early to say the new best teams with sparkle but I have a sparkle team video now and safe to say replacing a harmony with her outside of DOT will either be just as good or even better in these teams :) - Forgot Himeko Hyper options! Pretty self explanatory but you pair 2 Harmony with her, something like Ruan Asta works! :) - We got the extra Sparkle info as of editing! Jing Yuan, Topaz, Ratio teams can all use her nicely as a result over Bronya (but so can any DPS tbh). She should now be Jing Yuan's best support over Ruan Mei. I included some Sparkle pairings but I will be doing an in-depth Sparkle team vid too! I felt the two topics were different enough, and you can just replace Bronya / a Harmony with her and try it out, she's way more universal than people are saying IMO. - Jing Yuan 4* Team: Hanya works as well :) - Physical MC I guess should've been included: Ruan Bronya for them kek.

Oh lord, as someone who doesn't like Ruan Mei much as a character (I'm sorry!) and plan to save for people I like instead, your 4-star F2P options are a lifesaver, thank you so much! Other guides I've seen usually reccomend a ton of 5-stars, and I don't really have those (I don't have Bronya, Topaz, nor Ruan Mei), and I'm still saving for someone down the line, so having accessible options is helping *alot*. Your team recommendations are pretty much spot on! The problem is we can't use Ruan Mei or Topaz in every team haha, so we are forced to use other units to fill the spot sometimes. Thanks for the guide as always Guoba!
wait, but Topaz, outside of her own segment, was only mentioned on Jing Yuan and Ratio teams only tho. I dont think thats "too many" to even warrant lining her up with Ruan Mei in terms of being a common unit in teams.
@@HSRFirefly Topaz is good with any fua centric teams, so Jing Yuan, Ratio, Clara and Himeko. The thing is Topaz is such an improvement for those teams, if you want to run any combination of those 4 teams in moc, you have to make a compromise in one of them. For example, using Topaz with Himeko and hypercarry Jing Yuan works best in my experience.
On who should take RM.. the priority order is like this. DoT teams > Dual DPS teams > FuA teams > Hypercarry teams. If FuA team consists of Topaz then its basically double dps. RM provides the most value to DoT teams.. never separate her from DoT teams if you are using DoT comps.
I love this types of guides, it's super interesting to have a ample view of the game and it's possibilities, great for new players with the 4* teams also for day 1 ones like myself that already have everything and don't know what else to build and want to try something different.
@@skennylegend1835I'm guessing Slow from Welt's skill, Imprisonment from Welt's ult, and the flower thingy from Ruan Mei's ult get Ratio's chances of landing a follow up attack to 100%. That and Welt doing aome decent damage if you build him a certain way.
Really cool idea for a video. The one thing I would have brought up is SW for Yanqing, he specifically has a lot of his kit locked behind having the type weakness due to his ice shred and dmg amps against ice weak enemies. So I find running SW with him to be very comfortable, especially since he’s a hunt unit. Either way, this was a banger video, hope you can do more of these in the future!
You can run her in any team with Bronya, if both have a bit of ERR they can resist CC, and if DPS gets hit, bronya is gonna skill them either way. And by bit of ERR i mean... my bailu with perfect timing and broken keel has more than 75%. Bronya is around 50% with keel too. Or alternatively you can run Bailu in any team if you have gambler's mentality.
These videos are extremely useful for me as a sort of new Star rail player. I've been playing it for a few months now and burning through resources like nobodies business to build all the really good supports as fast as possible.
6:40 instead of Topaz or Ruan Mei, you can also use Sparkle. Her crit dmg buff would stay until the start of Jing Yuan's next turn, meaning LR gets the benefit from it, also having action advance and skill point generation greatly benefits Jing Yuan's LR rotation
Blade clara ruan mei lynx is shockingly good. If you time your clara ult well managing aggro is much easier. Aoe and single target break and dps feel fantastic. This team shines in pf but is great for moc too. Ruan meis buffs + lynx aggro modifier and dmg buff for blade and clara is fantastic. Also because of blade and ruan mei being so sp efficient, clara gets to skill spam and it even leaves enough comfort for the occasional lyxn skill

My girl Guinaifen is very overlooked in Ratio teams. She gives 3 debuffs on skill at E1, and 2 of those debuffs are actually useful unlike Pela's. You can run them as duo dps even
It's because pela's def debuff scales better with ratio especially if u have his sig lc, def shred/ignore scales better the more you have it, ppl use pela w/reso lc to apply 3 debuffs, 2 of which are def shreds.
My whack Ratio team is plugging him into DoT core, Kafka/Ratio/Guinaifen/this is where my huohuo would go if I had one so that slot is either Fu Xuan or Bailu. It works shockingly well, helped by the fact that I have Kafka's LC.
Guinafen stocks about to rise when Acheron comes out, assuming her kit stays relatively unchanged (needing 2 Nihility teammates for damage Trace (only 1 if E2) and teammates applying debuffs giving her Ult energy) since Acheron and Ratio are competing for a lot of the same supports/teammates.

You should've mentioned Guinaifen for Black Swan! Her Ultimate triggers all Burn statuses on all enemies, and Black Swan's Arcana counts as Burn with Epiphany Essentially at E0, Guinaifen turns into a budget Kafka for Black Swan, providing Arcana detonation on top of her own Burn damage and some defense shred.
Wait seriously? That’s kinda nuts. If you need Ruan Mei in another team (I swapped her off DoT to fight the meme who has infinite toughness bar) she would be a great replacement then.
@@DiamonDust Yeah! Guinaifen is a great teammate for Black Swan that a surprising high amount of people are unaware of. It's a pretty obscure interaction since not many people know that Guinaifen's Ultimate triggers all Burn statuses. Besides, Lil' Gui is best girl, it's all a massive win/win situation
With Ratio + E1S1 Topaz I’ve been using Tingyun… largely because RM is glued to my Kafka team. At least right now I thiiiink I prefer her to my E2 SW on this team. While SW is definitely comfier as the permanent res reduction both adds an extra debuff (meaning ratio will likely still follow-up if numby hasn’t picked a new target yet after killing the last one), and helps ratio more reliably proc the 4p debuff set, enemies just… die too quickly with Ratio + Topaz, so I feel like I’m not benefitting much from her def shred, and this team doesn’t have the skill points for SW to re-apply her all-res pen on every new enemy. Meanwhile, Tingyun buffs stay after enemy deaths and you get to spam ratio’s ultimate. Only caveat is having to deal with the aforementioned Numby problem.
I absolutely love that the first team you mentioned, the Himeko one, was something I came upon myself when I realized that her, Topaz and Ruan Mei all had really good synergy. Maybe if I get Gallagher, I can run him as a sustain as well in that team (or Aventurine obviously but if he's on another, I can have this as an option) Also my Jing Yuan team and DHIL are gonna be just fantastic and I can't wait....just missing the last piece for DHIL with Sparkle LOL
I think for bs tingyun is amazing for her. Allows for consistent bursts and huge stacks of arcana which sampo and trigger with his skill at e4 for decent dmg.
Very nice team comps! The teams I use now are Kafka-BS-RM-Bailu (sadge no Huohuo) or Gepard with Trend LC, and Ratio-Topaz-SW-e1 FX. Himeko-Topaz-RM-FX for Fire weak enemies. My only hypercarry team is on Qingque with e2 Bronya, TY, FX and also against Quantum mobs.
@@DiamonDust You'll need a really speedy kafka to take proper advantage of it. Otherwise you're missing at least 2 procs of it and it's only really okay against enemies that start the battle by attacking first. The new free lc destiny's threads is almost always better in most situations.
@@cyaniire6924I see. Destiny's threads can actually be good on Gepard? I know he has like okay-ish damage since he has defense scaling attacks but I can't imagine the increase is better than Universal Market if I imagine it. I am also partial to the idea of Universal Market because it can fulfill debuff count requirements as well as trigger Acheron's Slashed Dream stacks (I have heard).
i'd like to add about jingyuan team comps is that sparkle can buff jingliu unlink bronya which only last for the characters turn but with sparkle lightning lord still benifits from it so sparkle can be a consideration
Basically x) But I'm sur you can use every single unit in this game whit proper building I put Welt and honya in all of my teams and it work just fine Slow enemies and speed boost your allies work pretty well
Great video, I can see pulling on Bennet.. uh, I mean Ruan mei and her lightcone was a good idea 😂. Really though, I still build teams around characters I just like though. I regularly use Gepard, shampoo, Bailu and now Misha simply because I like them as characters even though I have stronger options.
My fav team is Xueyi & Topaz Dual Carry with Ruan Mei and Lynx. This team has a crazy amount of weakness break through the battle and works really well while you're still stuck in early post-game, truly has the problem of depending too much on the enemy's weaknes, but works decently well.
Argenti is one of my mains but I don't have Huohuo. I was waiting for the low investment suggestion but I think it's missing! Also I think the graphic didn't switch properly when you moved from Yanking's mid teams to his low ones. Otherwise I really enjoyed this guide and someday I will get to pull more 5 star supports like SW, FuXuan, and Huohuo. If I don't have them, should I go for Sparkle or wait for a support rerun?
Since you did not include this in the video, I want to share a team comp dedicated to DPS Silver Wolf. Just because I am one of the biggest Silver Wolf fans. Guoba if you have something to correct or add here, it will be appreciated. Note: I recommend to play crit Wolf only at E2 onwards preferably with Incessant Rain (signature light cone), and she's much better as a secondary DPS in your team, to do solid damage and amplify the damage of your main damage dealer (for example Dr. Ratio). That's how I have been using my E2S1 Silver Wolf the whole time. Secondary DPS teams: Silver Wolf, destruction/hunt unit (someone like Ratio or Seele), a harmony character that amplifies your entire team's damage (Ruan Mei or Asta) and sustain. Hunt SW teams: Silver Wolf, a harmony character, sustain and flex. You can put another sustain if you need to, or ideally another harmony unit to increase her damage output. Ruan Mei is the best pick for her right now, Sparkle is 100% gonna be better than Bronya for her, but Bronya also works. You can make a double Bronya team if you want to. Tingyun is also great but not my cup of tea personally. Regarding sustain: Silver Wolf is actually very squishy. Best picks for her are Fu Xuan and Huohuo. Huohuo is my favorite because she gives more energy, allowing SW to use her burst again before the def shred from previous burst expires. But implanting wind weakness for 5 times in a row is no fun, so you can use Fu Xuan who is quantum + makes SW tanky as hell and +12 crit rate. Silver Wolf has no crit traces so it helps her a lot. That took a long time to write, I hope I didn't miss anything.
Theory crafting an idea with Crit Kafka, BS, Asta, Sparkle. As in theory this should allow Kafka to hit 160 speed as well as Sparkle while allowing DOT/debuff app through BS and Kafka while having Sparkle turn advance Kafka and give her extra Crit damage on top of her 60% CC and 79% CD

I'm so glad I made the decision to get Ruan Mei even tho I wanted to save my guaranteed for Sparkle. She was definitely a great addition to my account. So excited for Sparkle!
black swan, asta, tingun, any sustain will let you stack arcana very high with the extra turns and energy. The drawback is you won't have the ultimate every time for the dot set to work everytime but since you'll be loading your arcana damage everytime you ultimate, it works out quite well. Otherwise guoba's suggestion is pretty solid.
This was a lot of fun. However, I do like the comfort that Fu Xuan provides more so than skill points from Luocha or extra energy from Huo Huo which isn't that frequent anyway
My favourite team is: Fu xuan (Solo sustain) Sparkle (Boosts up Jing yuan so he can trigger his follow up more + boosts follow up) Jing yuan (Main DPS) Tingyun (Gives energy and atk boost)!
I main Blade, my premium team for him must have FU XUAN, since she buffs HP and crit DMG for Blade, and also makes sure blade is unable to die. Since I focus on boosting HP on blad efor maximum damage, and no defence at all, this creates a unique sinergy that simply cannot be replaced. Bronya booosting wind dmg% is also a must on the team, and 4th slot varies: somethimes silverwolf against huge enemies, sometimes huo huo for AFK everything in the game, sometimes Pela for aditional AOE dmg boost.
Good video! Agreed with most of these for sure. Really kind of unfortunate how valuable Huohuo and Topaz are. Low spenders and F2P were forced to choose between Jingliu+Ruan Mei or Huohuo+Topaz, and the 4* selection on the latter was way worse (can't remember Topaz' banner actually, but HuoHuo's was egregious). I guess there's always reruns but with the sheer rizz of the Penacony cast it makes it even harder 😂 The one thing I'd say about the teams is I feel Clara's best role is actually as a tank sub-DPS hybrid with Lynx and maybe ER rope (have yet to try this but in theory). Been running with Ratio in both MoC and SU lately and it feels quite good. I also like that she has an invincible team with Luocha and March though this is definitely not going to have the best cycle clears.
My go to team is Jing Yuan, E1 Fu Xuan, Tingyun, and either Asta or Hanya. It's not as strong as my Dan Heng IL team of course, but JY is my fluffy comfort character and he gets the job done. Thanks for this video, it's got some ideas for my other DPS that I'd like to try out, even though I don't have Ruan Mei or Topaz. And no Sparkle on the way either. I do at least have E1 Bronya. 😂
A surprisingly good option for Argenti is actually Yukong (I'll be defending her kit until the game ends, fight me). Her buffs are insanely strong and fit Argenti's playstyle really well because of his backloaded damage. Basically, you make it so you'll have Yukong's ult for whenever Argenti's ult is available. Meaning you get the most of Yukong's kit without the skill points usage since you'll only use it for Argenti's ult, even without her E6 (though it does help). After testing, I found Yukong more valuable for Argenti than Hanya (yes even with planetary rendezvous). So my usual Argenti team has Tingyun (definitely irreplaceable), Yukong, Huohuo. Yukong helps compensate my bad relics because of the stupidly high crit buffs she gives. Just make sure you won't overcap on crit rate too much - I think I'm at 102 with the buffs which is fine - since we only care about the ult, which should always be buffed anyway. If Yukong gets CC'd and can't use her ult/skill, I'd hold onto Argenti's ult since it takes so much time to get, and Yukong's buffs are too valuable. But it probably won't happen even without Huohuo since Yukong's trace grants her a perfect resist that refreshed regularly.
I'll put this here since Physical MC is not included: High Investment: Ruan Mei, Bronya / Sparkle, Huohuo (Hyper Baseballer) Mid Investment: Bronya, Hanya, Huohuo / Luocha (Balanced. Hanya for speed + phys break) Full 4* Team: Hanya, Tingyun, Natasha / Lynx (Full-on Break comp. Natasha for even more phys break)
For kafka as an F2P I used triple dot or replace it with tingyun, for Dr. Ratio im using welt and sparkle also bailu for the healer and there's no issue at all, I quite surprised because Dr. Ratio + Welt is perfect combination if u have it🎉
Something Id like to add to dan heng il is that if youre not going for his best hypercarry team then misha is a perfect sub dps for him! mishas ult scales off of how many skill points the team consumes and dan heng il consumes a lot! its a perfect combo and very fun
In recently banners I got: - lost 50/50 with Bailu in RM banner and got RM on 7 pity - win Kafka on soft pity - win BS on 32 pity. So luckily I got nice DoT team. And I waited for FX for mono quantum...
I'd like to add that Sparkle will be very good for JingYuan as well since she will be able to buff Lightning Lord. For high investment JingYuan hypercarry teams, one of his new best teams will be JingYuan, Sparkle, Tingyun and Huo Huo.
Love to see this list when Sparkle comes out, I'm sure a lot of people will be surprised at how good she works with a lot of characters not named dhil or quantum dps
For blade team a fake mono wind team is what i used to run back in old MoC floors. Blade, Dan Heng 4*, Bronya/Hanya/Pela, Lynx/Any healer you got Bronya is technically a free unit since you can pick her in the free standard picker at 300 pulls, but if you didnt get her then hanya or pela should work just fine. In this team we are using blades enately high damage and put most of thr but buffs like bronya skill and hanya ult on Dan Heng. Dang Heng 4* is lowkey underrated and preforms very well when i use him from time to time and at e4 he can be a mini seele. Dan heng can go on either wind set or even the debuff set in hanya or pela teams. The supports/sustain should genrrally be on keel and one of them on the speed set.
I would recomend for Clara running Luocha instead of HuoHuo, the energy might be better but getting healed completly after every counter attack is precious
My ratio, e1s1 Topaz, Ruan Mei, huohuo team is definitely my favorite. Chalk and pigs flying everywhere, so glad I skipped so many banners to heavily invest into my favorite tax collector and her pet pig.
the more units we get, the more i realise i must be the fakest jingyuan main ever (skipped fuxuan, topaz and ruan mei as i do not like them). i'm also a duo dps enjoyer with jingliu and blade, i could only pray a 5* similar to ruan mei gets released in the future. most of the setups were pretty much spot on with what I thought, great video tho!
This is making me realize just how much Luocha or Topaz would benefit my account. I have Ruan Mei, e6 Tingyun, and Bronya so I'll be skipping Sparkle since I'm good on Harmony units right now.
Hey just like for previous dps, can you mention how much spd is ideal on Jing liu and her teammates, i've been facing the problem when RM buffs spd my rotation gets messed up and jing liu comes right after bronya.
I've personally found that swapping out Bronya for Tingyun actually works better for supporting Jingliu. Using HuoHuo and Tingyun, I can extend Jingliu's buffed state for a few extra turns which, at least for me, has worked out better than using Bronya in that team.
i often lack dmg even with sparkle, ting yun and dan heng il. So i often simply take sparkle, natasha fire mc and dan heng. It feels like this helps me survive and do dmg xD
I start playing when Jingliu came out and everytime i hear about how great Quantum team is , it just a reminder of me failing to get Seele with 100 tickets on her rerun . I even manage to get Silver wolf...The pain will never go away.
I've started on JingLiu banner (f2p) and for now my best teams are: 1. Kafka-BS-Ruan Mei/Asta-Fire Trailblazer 2. JingLiu-Blade-Ruan Mei/Pela-Lynx Now i need Topaz for Ratio and HuoHuo

My go-to teams: "Mono Fire" - Topaz, Himeko, Luocha, Guinaifen. (Man I hope Gallagher is good) "Kaboom!" - Kafka, Black Swan, Luocha, Luka "Turn? Who said you get a turn?" - Xueyi, Luocha, Welt, Ruan Mei "I really shouldn't have skipped Argenti" - Gepard, Clara, interchangeable, Yanqing. "Weekly anti-Scarakabazz machine" - Himeko, Herta, Luocha, Argenti.
Tbh, I’m surprised that guoba didn’t talk about high-energy Jinglu builds (jingliu, Tingyun, Huo Huo, and Ruan Mei.). This comp allows for a longer state, and more ult procs, lasting between 1-2 turns longer, and if you run Eng reg, Around 3-4 turns longer. It’s my personal go-to instead of a hyper carry, due to bronya needing to be used for other teams in MoC.
