About time I made this, a bit of info about each of the runs. 10. Everest: Prior to GT4's run, it was always considered a solid record but never top 10. However, eventually Prac grinded the track down to a 31.9, beating the previous record by .4 on a track with very little time. A day after this GT4 beat Prac by .1. It's a great record but still a bit of time in the end. 9. Thousand Cloud: Definitely one of the most grinded tracks in the game. It has been in a bunch of tourneys and is also just a good track. For years now Nova has had the record, but before the world cup he managed to finally get a sub 56. He says there is still a bit of time in the start and that another .3-.4 is definitely doable. 8. Lynx World: This record always flew under the radar. About a year ago, Maitrash had this record with a 1:05.6 and when conversations about the new top 10 records came around, people started noticing how crazy this record really was. Despite this, Nova decided to play the track and got an absolutely crazy run, beating Maitrash by .4 with an absurdly fast start and solid everything else. A bit of time was lost on the slide following the brakeflip but aside from this a great run. 7. Chinese Gauntlet: Once again, a story of a Maitrash record getting destroyed. Maitrash and Auris had a little battle on this track and ended up with Maitrash getting a 41.2 (2nd place to this day). Soon after, GT4 decided to join in on the fun and beat maitrash by .8. His run is absolutely crazy and nobody is even close. There is some part with small visible time loss but with how aids the track is I doubt anyone will be beating this anytime soon. 6. Flying Finn: I remember a long time ago, Nova told me he dreamed of getting a sub 43 on this. 2 years later a sub 43 is barely top 20. Of course that meant Nova improved a lot too, Nova and Jitterz slowly traded this record back and forth several times, getting lower and lower. Jitterz claimed that anything below a 42.3 would be impossible for him to beat. However, this was not the case, after nova got a high .3, Jitterz fired back one last time with a slightly lower .3. Unfortunately for Jitterz, Nova would take it back one last time for a 42.262, making the track one of the most optimized and grinded tracks on Rising. They claim a sub is possible but unlikely to come anytime soon. 5. Temple of Trials: Almost 2 years ago, Mistagin got a 47.3 on this track and it was considered one of the best records in Rising, going unbeaten for well over a year. Eventually, however, Prac would take this record to a 46.7. It seemed like an absurd time and was certainly one of the best records in the game. Unfortunately for Prac, GT4 decided to do his thing yet again. He decided to play the track and brought it down another .3. GT4 himself says this is one of his best runs ever in Trials and is certainly one of the top 5 records in Rising. 4. Liberty Station: Our final entry from the goat GT4. Same story as the last record, long standing solid record eventually taken down by Prac. At the time, the record was considered a very solid run and maybe even a top 10 contender. About a month later, GT4 would play the track and destroy it. When people saw the time he got it sent shockwaves through the community and had everyone talking. He had beaten Pracs' time by almost .7 on a track with limited time to save. There is very little time to save in the middle but he makes up for it with an insane start and end. 3. Medieval Flair: Finally, we get to discuss the newest goat in town, Practical Jokes. In the previous top 10 record video I made, this track was the 6th best record with GT4 having a very notable .4-.5 time loss at the end. At the time, people said had he not lost the .5, it would be the best record in the game. For over a year this record would stand untouched until eventually Nova and Haros would find that .4 and finally bring down GT4. You'd think this would be where people would stop, but Prac then decided to play this track. He beat GT4 by 1.3 seconds. To this day, nobody is even within .9 of him on the track. The run is crazy and I am not even good enough to see time or critique it in any way. 2. Seaside Meltdown: "This Record is Eternal." "Nobody will even take Meltdown." "Easily the best record in Rising history." These were some of the things people were saying when Nova got his 32.6 just minutes before playing the track in a tourney. He had beaten the previous record by over .8 and had BY FAR the fastest end ever seen on the track. People could see a bit of time in his start but Nova's end was just inhuman and unbeatable. For 2 years, it was just known in the community that this was the best record in the game, however, to everyone's absolute shock, on December 22nd last year, Prac took down Nova's run. He had a start .4 up on Nova's and managed to only lose .2 on Nova's insane end, getting him record by .2. What this run can be described as is the culmination of a near perfect start and end. It is unsurprising that Prac could not match Nova's end but getting as fast of a run as he did is simply absurd. A 1 in a million run and until a week ago, the best record in the history of Trials Rising. 1. Vietnam Vaults: In the original top 10 records list from 2 years ago, Vietnam Vaults was on the top. After a crazy grind, Clapfest had taken down the best record in the game and secured a 53.2 which to this day 2 and a half years later is a top 5 run. Shortly after the release of the video, Classification, commonly considered the GOAT of trials speedrunning beat this run by only a few milliseconds. When I asked him about it afterwards, he was shocked at how good the run was, but was just relieved to have beaten it. This record would last nearly a year before finally, Nova would get one of the best runs in Rising History. He beat Vietnam by .250 which at the time solidified the track as one of the top 3 records in Rising. He had landed at a 53.009, and for over a year the record would stay at a 53.009. About a week ago, Jitterz noticed that he could see the time for the record. He began grinding and before long, he got the first ever sub with a 52.959. The run was crazy and was without question one of the top 10 records in the game. However, Jitterz was not done. He knew that he could see more time and insisted he at least wanted another .2 out of the track, which would put it at one of the top 3 records in the game. With this in mind, he continued grinding for 4 more days when he got the run you see here. A 52.325. Beating his own top 10 record by .7, beating the previous best record in the game by a full second. It is rare that a trials player gets the run they dream of where you hit everything as well as you can in one run but that is what happened in this run. At this time, I cannot imagine anyone ever beating this record, but only time will tell. As for time lost, there is a small amount of time in the middle, but his start and end are just so crazy that it will be nearly impossible to replicate.
Great write up, maybe providing a little context behind the runs before showing them in the video, whether it be text or that commentating voice you have. Might be a good idea if you ever make another one. I do think GT4’s Temple should be 4 instead, but I won’t dispute the top three. It’s getting much harder to find the faults in run these days. I don’t know if it’s because I’m washed or these runs are just that good. Probably both. Thanks for the video Panda. Awesome runs guys.
I'm happy to see that prac has 2 and 3. He doesn't have the most world records but he doesn't stop grinding after getting a world record. He pushes a track to its potential.
It is still a life lol bc dream to meet one of the elites in trials. Gt4, gin, nova, Dempsey, doughnut, Scottah, auris, jitterz, tomward, marple, It would be such a dream of mine to meet them. Because in my opinion, trials rising is the best game ever made. I know that some of you will hate me for saying that, saying “the loot crates and all the micro transactions make the game terrible!” But you still played it. I play mostly minecraft nowadays, and it is one of my favourite games. But nothing will ever compare with trials rising. The greatest game ever made.
Damn, these folks are absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Like are we even playing the same game?? Shit, I was happy with finally getting 100% on Fusion, now I'm just a few trophies away from finishing Rising as well... I think that will be it for me tho, no way in hell I would even attempt the speedruns like this!
Nice selection, but I really dislike how you cut away the ends of each run. I know it is for a smooth transition and more for the looks of the vid, but you cut too early and most runs are pretty incomplete, look at lynx world e.g...
We need a 2024 top ten! I'm recently come back to this game After 2 years because i buy a ps5 and with less tire glitch and freeze the game is surprisly enjoyable.. i Hope redlynx can make a new game but sadly i don't thinm this is gonna happen..
