Would've given Masai and Bobby an A+ had they got a case of Gatorade for McDaniels. 👏 This has been nothing short of an outstanding start to the off season and the rebuild. Very much looking forward to summer league to see the new guys.
Thanks for throwing some highlights in this video, it certainly helps envisioning how these guys could be used. Maybe some number graphics to emphasize your points or stats could take your channel to another level. Masai Ujiri did a heck of a job restocking the team!
Quickly, Grady, RJ, Scottie, Poetl Davion, Abachi, Ja'Kobe, Vezenkov, Mogbo, Chomche, Olynyk, Freeman-Liberty, Shead and undrafted player Branden Carlson. Then trade Bruce for like Jonathan Issac or another long solid player who plays D and can make shots and we can grow.
@@LucaRosano3 some content for you to create tomorrow. possible jakob poelt trade. will definitely cause controversy and get you alot of views. sean cunningham kings local beat reporter tweeted kings and pelicans are in talks to trade ingram to kings. problem is the pelicans want a 7 ft defensive rim protecting center coming back to pelicans to replace jonas valanciunas. who did the kings just make a trade with? and doesnt that team have a 7 ft center that likely doesnt want to be on a rebuilding team?
I hope 2 of the 6 turn out to be solid players, not everyone gotta be insane but getting someone who consistent and wants to be a raptors regardless of starting or off th bench would help us go a long way
Jakobe Walter was the only good pick they made. They did not ace the draft. Heavily over drafted an undersized and low skill big because hes from scottie home town shows that their front office has no backbone and just want their star to stay. This never goes well
This is the first draft that I believe all of the players taken by the Raptors will eventually be NBA players. With the Raptors... who knows, but, they'll find a role somewhere in the NBA. I don't see any All-Stars, however; I do see quality, sixth man roles, depth off the bench etc... There are 4 players here who could really surprise and if one of them hits it's a huge win for the Raptors and if they don't max out they'll all be good depth on an NBA team which is still a win.
I'd give them a B grade. They leaned into defensive upside with their picks. I get it. That's part of the culture they're trying to build. If Walter wasn't there, they apparently liked Missi at 19 (per Sam Vecenie) who also has high defensive potential. Mogbo seems like a Scottie pick. At the very least he'll provide emotional support next season if/when the losses start piling up lol Shead was best available PG. I think they would've preferred KJ Simpson who went 2 slots earlier and has a more polished jumper. Chomche at 57 was the A+ pick of draft. The measurables are nice and he's only growing. The jumpshot looks good and the defensive effort is there. He could be a scary 2-way center in 2 years.
You can’t grade picks until the players actually play. People gave Masai a failing grade for selecting Barnes who is now better than Mobley yet everybody was raving about Mobley being a superstar talent. I’ve learned you can’t just watch highlights and look at stats to decide who is a better pick. These guys have information on these players and talk to people about these players that have insight on them that we just don’t have. What we have is highlights and stats and that’s not enough to decide who is a better talent. There’s something about Missi they didn’t like over Walter. Maybe Missi checked 4 boxes while Walter checked all 5.
even if mogbo and scottie arent friends, after watching highlights and a breakdown of his game he's a solid pick considering he was projected in the early 30s. If he develops a jumpshot, he'll be a rly solid role player, if that doesn't happen then we'll have walmart draymond green lmao
Raptors 905 aced the draft not the Raptors NBA team. Mogbo at 31 is a head scratcher considering he's a lesser Adem Bona. And with Filip or T.Smith on the board. Shead is ok but redundant in the Mitchell trade. Chomche would have been undrafted.
We didn’t ace crap, we needed to do everything possible to get Zack as our centre of the future and failed. Note we sit back again and watch another Canadian become a superstar/dominant. Stupid.
Edey got picked before his projected selection and before we could pick. Unless you wanted the Raptors to trade assets to trade up for him, what did you want them to do? Masai and Bobby were able to flip a negative asset in McDaniels for Davion, Sasha and two 2nd round picks.
I agree they ace'd nothing. But I wouldn't bank on Edey being a superstar. Good luck to him, but the last thing Raptors fans need, is another Canadian to cloud their judgement with this team. Sentimentality got these guys in the position they are in now, which is a very poorly ran org.
@@orlandowright2323 trade assets and trade up for a dominant and skilled player that would be the most physically dominant and one of the most skilled players in the nba.
@@eazyduzit1066 I see what you mean with the Canadian thing, but I couldn’t care less about him being a Canadian. I love his high skill level, his mentality that took him to a level of dominance in college that was historic in 7 years! When he didn’t even want to play basketball because people told him too and then switched and dominated when people doubted him. His dominance physically starts the first moment he steps in the court, the next physically dominant superstar Centre behind him is Joel Embiid who is 20lbs lighter than him, Steven Adams known as the strongest nba player also 20lbs less, Andre Drummond 20lbs less. Rudy Gobert 20lbs, and Victor 80lbs less one inch shorter. Who can stop him? And what can stop him with that mentality to at the very least be an all nba player of pascal could do it with far less attributes and accolades?
The team continues to flounder and stay in the middle. They are locked into Barnes, Barret, Quickley, and Poetle. This is not a rebuilding team. They are paying guys to compete now. Don't let them gaslight you into thinking this is a rebuild. You got 3 alright starters, 2 of them got shipped out by New York who is currently in win mode, and a bunch of 2nd rounders. Why do you think this team will compete?
