Happened to me in Ottawa, immigrated from New York to Canada as a teen. When I ended up homeless I thought to myself how could I be homeless in a country I’m not originally from. I left quick and never looked back…

I personally experience homelessness in Jamaica 🇯🇲 for over four years😢only difference that my friends and family wouldn't let me sleep on the streets and my God favoured me❤

There are so many empty homes in every village in Jamaica. In my village we have almost 20 go houses that are empty. I mean houses with indoor plumbing and electricity and are fully furnished due to the death of return residents ie old age.

Because of my aunt I know that these shit are real because she lives in Canada 50 add years now and she tells me alot. That's why she always tells me never to come and live with certain families or strangers or have certain jobs because there is a but!!! So we have to be careful so it is what it is.

Kids stay in school and get an education. No matter how harsh your teachers are, this is Hardet. When you have money don't waste it; always save. What could motivate someone to spend $3000 on a condo? Learn a self-sustaining skill that you can earn without depending on anyone else. Unless a person has medical or mental illness they should be working. Some people tend not wanting to work as they think the job is below them. There are all kinds of low paying job we can do but don't want to. I refuse to feel sorry for anyone who is healthy and refused to work. Unless they are medically or mentally ill, I will not help them. Sorry, but low paying job work two jobs.
