Curious, have you heard about leading through your torso before or is it new? When I'm trying something new and get stuck I always come back to it. It's game-changing. Hope it can help you too! -Robin
Yes, actually. Something that alot of dancers need to learn early. Leading from the torso and having tension in the arms, all the way to the wrists is a game changer.
I hear you! When I get stuck I always come back to it and it's so helpful. Here's to hoping it helps more people early on in their journeys. Thanks for watching -robin
That's a VERY COOL technique! Expecially at 6:45 ! I will Definetely try to use and master this one! Also, at 5:55 I was thinking that you were speaking in Italian, my Language, but then I realized that it was Spanish at 7:32 😂
Haha, I wish I could speak italian too! Glad you enjoyed it Gabriele, thanks for the love! I have to go visit Italy one day. It looks so amazing :) -robin
glad you liked it! Im as white as they come. mixed european descent and born in canada. Learning spanish has been one of the coolest things I've done. I live in medellín colombia now.
My approach would be to adjust what I'm doing if she doesn't get it. I could try making my lead more obvious by, for example, using another hand to assist the movement, but not using more force necessarily. If my partner still didn't understand I'd probably avoid that movement because she's not ready for it. Then I'd keep exploring what she can do to find her limits while having fun. -Robin
@@thedancedojo ok agreed but if you don’t have strong connection it helps. usually if it’s a good move she didn’t get what you do usually if you slow it down off the beat she’ll want to learn if she likes the move “do it again”, she’ll say. usually i watch other girls dance and find out what they like this way. if first time i will dance off beat in slow motion so she’s aware of moves in dance. complicated but keep it simple stupid.
